Thanks for the feedback guys, don't like the sound of these missing features and overall performance issues.

On another note, seems like a lot of the same people are here, plus some new faces! Glad to see the community here is still growing. :)

Wait, is the drowning mechanic "old" enough to be no longer considered a spoiler?  I left my Pedantic Forumgoer Rulebook at home...

Was it ever? I mean drownings kinda common sense, it like magma = fire obvious.

Well yea, I didn't really think that through all the way as I'M drunk currently but you get my point, pack artifacts into a public area and your dwarves will be practically orgasming in joy.
Either that's the best meeting room ever, or the scariest mental image ever.

Very nice!

And on the deadliness-to-height ratio, all caveins fall at the same speed, regardless of height. They insta gib everything in theyre path, so high up cave-ins would only increase the area that gets instagibbed, AFAIK

Would it be possible to pressurise a volcano ? Maybe by pumping magma back in a few levels down. That would be great fun.

Pumps make magma behave as if it is pressurised. May or may not be a bug :s

Back in 40d I had a fort where I kept finding goblin limbs wedged in the fortifications on the second and third floors of my guard tower. It was kind of annoying because nobody would collect them.

I had an idea for a mega-construction the other day. I call it the "Harbinger of the Cat-pocalypse" Its a 10 story tall cat statue that, upon pulling a lever, vomits forth enough blood to drown the world. I was thinking of using the blood of immigrants for it.
I had hoped it would vomit cats on unwary guests (which, if tall enough will explode on impact).

Not if it hits a creature/person unfortunetly, dammend bugged falling physics...
