Other Games / Re: Your favorite DS and Advance games

I don't know if I should be sad or happy cause I have played every game listed in this thread so far.
As for my suggestion, try these-

Hotel Dusk - Room 215
Great graphic novel(adventure game) with beautiful graphics. The plot is pretty great and I am pretty sure you will stick to the end. They also made a sequel but it is only released in Japan.

Space Invaders Extreme 1 and 2
SIE1 is a remake of the old space invaders with spiced up formula. SIE2 is just marvelous. It has absolutely great soundtrack and sound effects. Every thing that happens just fits into the rhythm of the music(even the bullet sound effect, no matter how hard you try to make them sound bad). I would recommend second part of the series because it is just the first 1 with more stuff.

GTA: Chinatown wars
Self explanatory.

Lost in Blue 1,2,3
Take any game in the series. They are basically survival games with micro management. The only thing that separates this from feeling like Sims is that you have to really manage your resources else you will die pretty soon.

Lufia Curse of Sinistrals
This is an odd one. It is a reboot of Lufia (The SNES ones, I dunno which part) as an Action RPG as opposed to JPRG. The graphics are quite good for the DS and the puzzles are a joy(they are different than previous lufia but not that different) but every time I start to enjoy the game, the camera fucks everything up. Its like the camera is a big fuck you by the devs.

They already have a thousand.

Which was our single spawn limit.... 1000. FYI - Base game spawn is 4. And our spawn timer was 70 times shorter as well.

This is the part where vilethorn comes handy.

Woah, wait, for some reason I was thinking that they still counted as units in your party...

Do I still have to pay them?

Half as much

Really? How do you know that? Can it be reversed?
You seem to hate the game with all your heart. Oh and no it cannot be reversed.
One thing that can be done is to add some kind of option in the menu to open the party screen.

So you are blaming an indie company for just leaving a few items?
Seriously?
Maybe they wanted to test the zombie and firearm shit?
I have yet to see a zombie but without the firearm shit there would have not been mods like EatRC

Also, rushing out doesn't mean laziness. It means removing shit that doesn't work instead of getting it working but that doesn't necessarily means that they are bound to remove the files too.
Case in hand, Rockstar and their GTA:SA  PS2 release. In case you don't know what I am talking about then Google "Hot Coffee"

As far as I can tell they were originally planning on having guns but decided it was a bad idea.

They were also planning to have zombies. If you don't believe me about the laziness, check your textures directory. The zombie texture is still there (at least in Warband). How fucking lazy do you have to be to not even bother removing assets that haven't been used in the game for what, three years? Four?

Maybe it was rushed out? Or maybe they cut corners? Or maybe they wanted something for the modders to explore?

I know I run away a lot... :(
In Fallout 3, if I was just wandering along minding my own business and spotted a freakin' behemoth coming at me over the next ridge... Well, I didn't stick around! :P
...Unless I had my Fat man.

I pelted it with my pea shooter pistol.
Damn that game was easy.
Also, why the hell are you peeps talking about difficulty curve?
No open world game has done difficulty curve right. Fallout sucks for newbies, Morrowind is idiotic when it comes to higher levels, Daggerfall is just insane and don't even get me started on Oblivion.

iCthulhu

I should have copyrighted that.
Where have you used the term first? As far as I'm aware, my post is the first use of it on this forum.

My mind is greater than any book ever written.

Skeletron ain't hard.
I could have killed him if day hadn't broken but still, I managed to drop his health down to 300.

And that does happen in Morrowind. There are times where I'm going where there are clearly non-safe animals around, and I have to reload and try again several times because I'm too bloody persistant trying to get to this temple, and the animal keeps noticing me.

One time I ended up sneaking until it spotted me, and then summoning an ancestral spirit (repeatedly, as I went) while running as fast as possible down a hill towards the closest river, so that I could water walk run where it couldn't follow.

Another time one spotted me and I immediately turned and jumped right off a cliff, over a railing, and it couldn't do the same. (Then I turned it into a pincushion with a bow)

Those were either Kagoutis or Guars, I think. Both equally fatal at my low level at the time.

My common pants of godly healing laugh at you.

Quote
Conditions for a goblin invasion are: 300 HP, 1 Shadow Orb broken and no invasion for 7 days. Each day after there is a 6% chance for an invasion.
So THAT'S how it works.
6% flat or are they accumulative?

Its a lie.
I have fought off 3 goblin invasion and my HP is 260.

Guys guys guys, they just removed the thing to avoid the "cliffracer effect"
Just replace cliffracers with dragons.
Think of it for a while.

Just beat 2 eyethulhu at once with silver chainmail and leggings, gold helmet, musket, shurikens, gold sword and whole stack of potion.
The feeling of awesome cannot be sustained.
