A WARry Marmot! Get it? Alright, maybe that wasn't the best, but you get the idea.

Upon inspecting my dwarves, I discovered they have a 'water covering' item on every body part. How do I clean that off? A dwarven bath wouldn't work, I assume.

Yes, I realize this is cheating, but I'm in the mood to go on a murderous rampage without a care in the world. So, I need a reaction that gives me a full adamantine outfit, and a adamantine weapon and shield. When I tried, the game crashed. So, anyone want to help?

So, one of my Dwarves decided to start hunting. He isn't hunting just anything, though. He wanted to prove himself as a true hunter. So, he grabs his crossbow, and his bolts, and walks towards my staircase. The cavern entrance has been temporarily opened for web harvesting. He takes advantage of this, and starts his hunt. He spots his quarry. A Giant Cave Spider. He shoots it, and is immediately webbed, then poisoned. I have to send in the military to kill it, before it kills the other idiot who went to collect Urist Mchunter's corpse.


WHY?! Why did he have to attack the spider?! I didn't even know anyone even had hunting enabled! Can't you hunt something less dangerous?!

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Two questions on wrestling.

I have two questions. Both are about wrestling. The way they work seems to have been changed since last time I tried, and the wiki offers no help.

1. How do I gouge people eyes out?

2. How do I steal weapons/shields/etc. from still living combatants?

EDIT: Also, am I the only one who likes to cut people teeth out when they're unconscious?

DF Suggestions / Production Manager 'Profiles'

One of the things I would like to see added to Dwarf Fortress is a sped up production manager. What you could do is designate a manager 'profile' much like embark profiles. For example, you could make one with all the military gear a military dwarf would need. Then, you just select it, put in a quantity, and the manager would instantly fill up with all the items you need. Instead of manually filling it up with one item at a time, you just hit one button and everything is ready for production. I think it would speed things up quite a bit.

So, I recently had my fortress "attacked" by a ghost. It was one of those peaceful ghosts that just hang around the same places that they spent time in while they were alive. Guess where he went? The atom-smasher, where he was killed. Why was I not expecting that? Oh, and that stuff about ghosts being bad for FPS? Rubbish. My FPS is fine.

So, I was feeling a little lazy. I didn't want to produce a lot of iron normally. So, I modified a reaction to turn 1 iron bar into 10. Simple enough, right? Apparently not. I didn't end up with 10 iron. I ended up with, well...

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Panic room. Oh, man.

I finished my danger room, drafted a few dwarves, and stationed them in there. I pulled the lever a few times, and everyone survived. For a few moments. Shortly afterwards, half of them died. Half! The rest had several red injuries. Unless I have this completely messed up, red means broken. I can't imagine the rest surviving much more. The ones that died however, due to their "long" and "valiant" service, were given proper tombs. But the question stands, how are these supposed to help?

Is there a utility that can force a caravan to visit your fortress? I'm tired of these Dwarves not showing up, and it seems like there would be something to do this with.

If I know the mass of an object, and the force affecting it in newtons, how do I convert that to G-forces? (I want the equation.)
