DF Community Games & Stories / Re: A Penal Colony Succession game
« on: October 24, 2010, 10:43:28 pm »
set out in a terrifying biome, and if the "criminals should be made more useless than useful"

I say yes to both of those ideas. And since they aren't on the top of the nobles friend's list, make em start out with 2 picks, an axe, 30 plump helmets, and 40 rum as the only things they get.

Also, I'll be signing up as a Ex Dwarven Recon, 5 Crossbow, 2 Armor 2 Hammer.

Background: I was a Dwarven Recon Sargent, Call-signed Trooper. After a failed mission into goblin territory to execute a classified target I was sentence to prison for treason and espionage. After years of trying to appeal to the courts even though I had no evidence or witnesses, the judge finally told me that the only way to get out of my cell is if I agree to go to a penal colony. Even knowing the rumors of such a place, It was probably my only chance for freedom, and maybe even redemption, so of course I took the offer.

OH RIGHT! UPDATING OP!

EDIT: Updated.

48
Yeah, I've got to agree, time for a megaproject. So lets fine out which one we want!

Now considering we have sssoooo many prisioners, and so much boredom. How about The Colosseum! With working water flooding and magma flooding. Could help train new soldiersssss :P

Complete with a throne room at ring side, and a personal viewing platform for each lesser noble! :D Have it truly filled with seats, and have food stockpiles within the outer walls. >.> Ok, I'm getting ahead of myself now.

49
I think you should edit the turn list abit. Put those that haven't had a turn such as reaper and yourself ahead of those that already had 1 turn, such as myself and Xenos.

50
That. Is awesome.

Captain: Grr someone keeps stealing my booze, I'll be right back guys.
*Runs into blind cave ogre*
Ogre: RAWR!
*slice! Blind cave Ogre has been struck down.*
Captain: Damn guards must be asleep again.

51
LOL EPIC FAIL!

Oh well. You'll honestly never see my architecture ever, because I have the terrible habit of trying to blend everything.

EDIT: Actually, My architectural style is Above ground Keeps. I have a weird fetish for them.

52
@lolghurt: It's up to bobby if he wants it or not.

@mrbobbyg: Your turn is up now, you can ask lolghurt for what he's got done, or start over from the last full save.

Yeah that'd be awesome. I doubt it though, and why only part time?

My vote is for Defenses if that counts :P

Also, if you ever get around to making a marksdwarf squad, my dwarf gladly volunteers!

57
That. Makes complete sense. No wonder it wasn't working. xD

58
WAIT WAIT WAIT! Do I have to close the menu THEN press F#? Cus that would explain EVERYTHING.

59
-_- It won't let me set them (I've smashed enter, the F#, space, Leftclick, my fist, and the +-)
