I think it would be okay, but in game there would be no way to tell the difference between the two creatures (Since they both have the exact same name) At least thats what I think (you might be able to assign them a diffrent character so a Viking is a big V )

Could you imagine taking 10 lashs from a hammer instead of a whip? I guess that is why most punishments handed out end up killing the dwarf instead of teaching him a lesson. Has anyone ever seen a baby or child punished by a noble with a hammer? :P

shirts don't provide any protections regardless what they're made out of any how (as far as I know) So might as well go with Mithril chain mail since that is really what Frodo had in LOTR. Or maybe make Mithril leather instead of cloth and make a leather armor called (Mithril Shirt) or some such, that wouldn't rot would it ? :P

If you edit the .ini files you can change the resolution of the game window to fit your screen. I have the 16x16 graphix tiles and it works just fine. I set it to exactly what my monitor is currently set for.
On a side note make sure you change the graphic resolution under the graphic's part (where you turn them on) Not the part further up the .ini file.

lmao, you can breed humans? Does it work? Do they pop out babies that run around and get into trouble ?YOu need to make it to where they can be trained into war animals too. You could have an army of human slave warriors to fight for you .  (Some of those Drow mods out there could learn from this and make Goblins and Kobolds breedable pets that can be trained into armies)

You can just set your race to eat bones, then your gnolls will each the bones of dead humans :P I'm not sure what the flag is, I think it's [Bone_Carn] or something like that.

You could make a race of Azer that resist fire and magma but I think they'd end up epxloding beer barrels and all their stuff would burst into flame. (Azer and flaming dwarf like beings)

Anyone think it will ever be possible to build the buildings or set how they should be build for our own civs? For example having all of your civs building appear under ground with a door in a hill like hobbits instead of just looking like a hobit in game but living in a human or dwarfy town?

The easiest thing I can tell you to do is go in to the critty files in raws folder and find something like a deer. copy that and paste it to the end. Change all the names from deer to snake then remove all the body part tags for the arms and legs ect. Then if you want you can copy a venom attack from a spider or scorpian if you want the snake to be venom filled.

In relation to that, how did you do that ? I'd love to make it so you could make stone war hammers out of pretty much every color stone as well as some stone swords/axes besides obsidian.

Not true. I added a reaction to a smelter. Not only did I not make a new world I didn't even make a new fort. It started working in the fort I was already using without any bugs or problems coming up at all.
