I love how this thread turned into a debate about the chance of survival of an Android phone in space. It says a lot about our community. At least Androids aren't something that can turn into a pile of gore in the name of !!SCIENCE!! so we are showing some progress there. I wish real life had a testing area like the one DF has.

I just played DnD in a place that looks like Diablo II's first chapter. I didn't know that I was in a game like Order of The Stick but there was some talks related to DnD mechanics. Also, there wasn't any races. Everyone was Human.

My character was a Chaotic Neutral (or Evil, I don't remember exactly) Sorcerer. My best friend was a Neutral Evil Fighter. Two of us joined a Good aligned party. We had a Cleric, a Barbarian, a Paladin, and a Rogue. We traveled together but after some time my friend started arguing with the rest of the party. I took his side. The Paladin was telling me to shut up and carry on. I replied by suggesting to suck his levels (I had Energy Drain).

After some arguing, I left the group with my Fighter friend and avoided bloodshed. We walked aimlessly toward a direction and encountered a crypt on the way. I suggested that we loot the place and my friend agreed. We got our asses kicked in a minute and ran away from the crypt. I couldn't accept the defeat and suggested that we go back in. My friend said that we should level up more before coming here. I didn't listen to him and went back in alone. I couldn't even deal with the monsters at the entrance. I used a stone pillar as cover and started blasting. I managed to kill like 2 or 3 monsters out of 20 that was attacking me. I had only one remaining hit point. So I fled again. My friend gave me a "Told ya." and we walked away from the crypt.

Then I woke up. The dream had lots of potential for interesting stuff if my mom didn't wake me up.

Nope. We don't have that many popular minor parties so a few major parties tend to dominate the elections while the others do what they can to grab some seats. Some eastern regions tend to vote for minor parties but the major parties don't really care about those regions anyway.

As a principle, I never trust any gameplay footage released by the company that's developing or publishing it. Every little thing in the video could be scripted.

So, I'm just gonna watch the hype and see where it goes.

That uniting against the most popular major party thing doesn't sound healthy either. Two-round system would fix that problem. That doesn't happen in my country so I wouldn't know. Major parties here have too different ideologies to form an alliance. They usually spend their time fighting each other.

I managed to make my Win7 look more like Win98. I really can't get used to Win7's UI and I don't think I can get used to Win8's UI.

Amazing, you know, how MS seems to want to add more "intuitive and efficient interfaces" (e.g. the MSOffice 'Ribbon' toolbar, the floaty Vista (then eight) Desktop-docking thing, and now Metro) in various iterations of its software... often emulating someone else's ideas of what to do with a UI but...  Making it worse.  I can use a modern Mac easily enough (though most of my serious Mac experience was actually always one of those classic Mac-in-a-box, often it being monochrome!) but when Windows add in something similar (or when misguided laptop manufacturers add into their Windows build one of those "hover around a screen edge and you get a scroll of icons" whatsisnames) it just gets in the way, and demands uninstalling or disabling for more (pro?)user-friendly operation.

Agreed. Let smartphones and iPads have their own UI. I have no idea why everything has to look like a smartphone. This is similar to my rant about Skyrim's UI design. What kind of a mindset is this? Who is the brilliant mind that first decided to copy something (which is suited better for touchscreen) to PC. I want to live inside that mind because that decision can only be made while on drugs.

"Guys. I got it. We'll copy the UI of the most selling stuff on the market."

The UI seems incredibly different and... iPad-ish. I mean, I want a fast and efficient UI, not a good-looking shiny one. I may skip Windows 8 and go with Linux just because of the UI.

Can you make Windows 8 look like WinXP or Win7? I made Win7 look almost like WinXP and that's how I managed to get used to it.

Are the votes evenly spread out between parties? We have 72 (official) political parties in Turkey but the votes tend to go between 4 or 5 major parties.

If the votes are too even, two round system might be better. It's going to be difficult but it's going to decide the future of the country. I think it will be worth it.

This has "over-hyped" written all over it but it doesn't make it a bad game. I mean Spore got over-hyped and everybody hated it. I played it without reading much about it and I loved the game.

Just to ruin it for you, some technology that didn't make it in, despite functioning just fine.

It's not uncommon for that to happen in games, although they really seem to take lots of stuff out. I mostly played the space age. Other ages sucked. It was a good game nonetheless. I'm not regretting playing that game.
