Other Games / Re: Watch Dogs, Ubisoft new IP
« on: April 30, 2013, 10:00:52 am »
This has "over-hyped" written all over it but it doesn't make it a bad game. I mean Spore got over-hyped and everybody hated it. I played it without reading much about it and I loved the game.

Just don't get your expectations too high.

So, now we've got the stereotypical revenge/they pushed me too far motivations for the protagonist.
This is his narration though.
I'm still seeing it as him being overly paranoid, and then escalating it into a self-imposed need to help people, even if sometimes he's hurting more people than he's saving.
I really hope that's what it is. I really do.

That would be a nice change of pace.

I really want to play an anti-hero. I got sick of incorruptibly pure heroes. I always go down the evil route in games if multiple choices are allowed.

Yeah, teamwork seems to be a common reason to ban people. I sent a "ticket" to them when I got banned to clear my name and give them a subtle "fuck you" at the same time. I never got a reply.

I was thinking about starting with a new account but it just seems like too much work to start from zero.

Chaotic Neutral.
52% Good, 66% Chaotic

Eh, that's what I was expecting.

You Good and Evil types should stop fighting for an ideal and think for yourselves! You Lawful fellas should stop being controlled by the laws that are created by other people who are very different from you! And you True Neutral people... yeah I'm okay with you guys.

See you in Limbo.

I'll change to Windows 8 like ten years later or so. Even updating from XP to Windows 7 was a big difference for me.

Weather is trolling in İstanbul. You'll decide to wear your leather jacket in the morning, when it's noon you decide it's just too fucking hot to wear a jacket so you leave it at your friend's house, then when it's late afternoon you'll just be running to your friend's house to get back your warm jacket. It will start to rain even though there wasn't any clouds in them morning if you're really unlucky. True story.

The hottest temperatures I've ever felt were near Antalya. Something like between 45 and 50 degrees centigrade. I really enjoyed travelling around that area and seeing the Taurus mountains. Turkey is a beautiful country.

Right now it's dark but it's been quite sunny lately in Scotland. Today was a beautiful day. The swans on the lochans were having a whale of a time.

Yeah, southern and western shores can get really hot. Thankfully you can swim. I even swim at night in the sea to cool a bit sometimes. İstanbul isn't really that hot but moisture makes it feel like you are about to burst into flames. When the western shores are burning in the Summer, the eastern provinces like Kars is usually just above 0 C. It's easy to screw things up and get ill when you're traveling.

Weather is getting better here, if you don't mind the temperature rising and falling 10-15 C through the day. But it's kind of a common thing around here anyway.

BTW, I really want to visit Scotland and Denmark one day. I love northern countries. They feel more... natural.

There's nothing illegal with jump starting a car and its very useful skill. Same with changing a tire.
Now, hotwiring is a different matter.
Which can be learned in the internet. The whole internet is one giant anarchist's cookbook.

General Discussion / Re: The Dream Thread
« on: April 26, 2013, 06:09:56 am »
I had a really interesting and scary dream. The dream is about a murderer woman. The dream has two parts. The first part is where I witness her murder but nobody notices me. I just walk around and watch.

In the first part, I learn that she killed her husband who cheated on her. She hired someone to run him over on the road but her husband managed to get away with some injuries. As he was limping to a hospital after the accident, she closed in and killed him with her own hands. He was just returning from his lover. I remember him lying on the street with a pool of blood around him. He was crying and telling that he was sorry. The woman was crying too but she didn't do anything to save him and eventually he died. I don't remember how exactly she killed him.

I wake up, then sleep again and the second part starts. I'm married and this woman became a divorce attorney. She also makes a TV show by finding out cheating husbands and exposing them. She thinks I'm cheating on my wife (which is a lie) and begins following me. She has a cameraman with her too. I know about this woman's past so I get scared. I confront her in a crowded street and tell her that I'm not cheating but she doesn't listen. Whenever I talk about how I'm a loyal husband she tells the cameraman to turn the camera off and when I shut up cameraman turns the camera on. She apparently wants to picture me as a husband who cheats on his wife, even if that's not the truth.

After beating up the cameraman for a while, I start walking to my house. I enter a dark alley and notice the woman is following me. There is nobody around so I get a little scared. She even ditched the cameraman. I walk faster and she walks faster too. I start climbing a fence and she runs towards me.

That's when I wake up. She was kinda attractive but the whole murderer-of-husbands thing was kind of an obstacle between us you know.
