IIRC it's to do with economy.
since it's turned off, dwarves cannot claim clothes.
This is not true. They claim new clothes but dont don them on.

My personal experience says no. There has never been clothings in any of my forts for almost half a year now (in real life time) and I have never seen any of that thoughts.

the only tags to replace body parts are in the creature variation tag set so it's probably not worth the effort. You need to define new bodypart sets anyway:
[CV_CONVERT_TAG]
   [CVCT_MASTER:BODY]
   [CVCT_TARGET:FACIAL_FEATURES]
   [CVCT_REPLACEMENT:FACIAL_FEATURES_SUTRE]

the lips are in the FACIAL_FEATURES body part. Remove them there. or make a duplication of facial feature but without the lips and use it instead.

Apparently listing the material as edible in the material templates is not sufficient; one must also define it as edible inside the plant itself.
Dunno how the changes made it work but this is not true.

If you make the metamorphic or intrusive igneous layers undiggable you'd still have sedimentary / extra igneous layers to work with most of the time.

i want the dark stranglers to use armor, just some mail shirts. for use in military, aswell to have more FUN. how? i tried messing around their ENTITY file. but id does not work. some instructions, please?
They dont have access to the jobs needed to produce those pieces I believe.

Not true. Try making reactions taking hundreds of stones as reagents. They'd never miscount even single one.

the food are not collected inside the kitchen and 4 food stacks would be brought into the kitchen and cooked as normal. Workshops act like containers and have clear in-out distinction, in case you dont know.

Since he went so far as to made sure the cap was at 30, I'm fairly certain it's a feature rather then a bug. It might has something to do with the size limitation of the type used to hold the value but that's just my hypothesis.
