A bunch of gobbos decided that a seige would be awesome and their troll buddies where all "Damn yo we gots to get in on dis." So I let them get near by then  set the atom smasher to auto, as luck would have it a troll landed on an unwalled sqaure of land right next to it so the only possible way into my fortress was destroyed and the caravan guards ran out of ammo. Will they eventually get bored or do I have to give my militia crossbows (the easy lame way) or find some kind of highly convoluted crazy and extremely dangerous to everyones health way to drop them into a deadly deadly magma flow.

Those are civilizations that have been/are on your map, sicne you have goblin neighbors chances are good they don't like you and will attack.

Hatchcovers can actually cover things though, like deadly deadly pressurized carp flows.

I have 3 forges cluttered with cages because no one has moved them to the animal stockpile, they aren't forbidden or anything hauling labors are enabled I can;t think of anything that would cause this other then a bug.

So you see a dwarf hauling chunks of adamantine off to a workshop. You figure he has to be making something good. After all, how could you possible make something lame out of adamantine.

Yeah, this dumbass used all that adamantine to make fucking cape. I can just imagine him running around the fort pretending to be a dwarven superman, beating up imaginary ogres. Meanwhile the rest of the dwarves shake their head in shame at the waste of money flapping behind his back. Of course, the fool that made it starved to death in prison shortly afterwards. The mayor accused him of "violating a production order". I like to imagine he just wanted to punish the idiot.

The obvious solution is to build a pumpstack down to the molten goodness and pump it up to the water to prevent those quakes we can even use the geothermal power provided by doing this to power it.
