I've just managed to die in less then a week playtime.
Set up a fresh game, unpause in the beginning and immediately get a "you've become sick" event.
Unpause again and get the game over screen 2 seconds later.

Thank you game, I hate you too.

Probably nothing special, but I found it to be pretty funny after I had finished headdesking.

After roughly 150 years of being married to her, my wife finally got the suspicion that I might be immortal.
I don't know if this is hilarious or sad.

(We both are, and have been for 130 years or so.)

Almost 6 years since I made that account. 7 if you also count the time I was lurking (and playing DF) before signing up.

Thats, in fact, not a Baneblade. Commissars using Baneblades as personal taxis usually go "DRIVE ME CLOSER, I WANT TO HIT THEM WITH MY POWER KLAW!"

Meh. Human vehicles all look he same to me.  :P

275
What does the title mean?

"Drive me closer, I want to hit them with my sword!"

It is used as a caption on a picture of a commisar sitting on a baneblade, brandishing his sword.
I'm at work, so I can't use google, or else I'd link it.

Could've been FATAL. Or deadEarth.

At least FATAL would not last long.
Somebody would roll a negative on his orifice size and then the world would be destroyed by the ensuing negative space wedgie.
Kinda like dividing by zero, only with crap.

I've first seen this some months ago. Looks very interesting and the SoH comparison is a good one, I think.
As someone who has been playing the unfinished buggy mess that is SoH for 5 years simply because there is nothing even slightly similar I really wish the devs success.
A Hazeron "done right" would pretty much be my dream game.

I'd throw money at them, too, but sadly they only have a kickstarter and I can't use that.  :(

I don't know if you guys are sick of the adventurers of the immortal, blind, infirm, phantom-pained, lunatic, tumour-laden, 300-year-old Khagan yet but today was a big moment for him.
Mongols got beaten back eventually (The Black Death owned them)

Are you secretly a champion of nurgle?

Some guy summoned a raid tier demon in Dalaran (it had over 300m health) and ran away, while I was standing a few meters away with my paladin tank. So I did what every player would do, I started hitting it.
After getting its aggro and using up most of my slowly recharging defensive cooldowns it used some knockback ability that threw me several dozen meters backwards and cost me most of my health.
I was catapulted directly into the well in front of the horde bank, which contains a portal to the dalaran sewers. Which currently had its free for all PvP active.
Two demon hunters, levels 109 and 110 and from the same guild saw me landing there with my remaining 30% or so health and attacked me.

Turns out a half dead level 110 paladin tank with no long cooldowns left still eats demon hunters for breakfast.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Back in Chrono Trigger there was an NPC I liked, so I stole his name for my tabletop fighter classes. Knight Cyrus.
Some years later I changed the "s" at the end to a "th", because for some reason I fell in love with "th"s at the time and thus became Cyruth.
Had that name for several months, then changed it to Cyroth, a name I've been using since late 1998 or so.

How does one deal with religious uprisings early on?
The game I started the other day had several fraticelli uprisings in very quick successsion (5 or 6 in maybe 20 years) all over ireland, each with 1500 or more soldiers in it. Even every single chief in ireland combined would have had problems to field that many soldiers, for a single chief that was total overkill.

I will no longer have to play with either small ships as my main combatants or a large number of small "dummy" ships to keep a sensible number of officers in circulation.
Instead I can use medium or large ships with 3 or 4 officers on each.

Its just a RP thing, really, but then so is most of Aurora.

I just read Steve will enable multiple officers on ships in Aurora C#, so you can have Captain, First Officer and so on.
I think I squee'd so hard I need new pants.

Thats one of my most wished for features.

284
Pretty much like that, yeah.
Was friggin' hilarious though.

Crusader Kings II, but with a fantasy world stretching over multiple planes of existence and elements of fantastic storytelling -- i.e., your king might account for a significant fraction of your nation's military strength, and him with his retinue of closest friends might be more than half of it.

A magic system that is designed to be dramatic and narratively impressive on these scales (perhaps even designed so that it's most effective when it's turning around long odds and saving the underdog).

I'm picturing a mix of Master of Magic, The Wheel of Time and Crusader Kings II, and now I want to throw money at my screen until it screams at me to stop.
