DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: I just atom smashed 30 children
« on: January 01, 2016, 01:26:35 am »
Don't bother to get rid of children most of the time, but if I do I sually throw them into unexplored caverns via brige-a-pult. That way they can do something useful before getting eaten.
Or I let them get poked by upright training spears. Gives my doctors more training then just offing them with actual spikes.

This is hilarious.
If you make someone drink a historical person/animal, what will the cause of death be shown as in legends mode?

This must be the anthem for version 0.42.xx.
Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
This feels very ghibli... nausicaa?
Its from Divine Divinity.
But yeah, it does kinda sound like something from a ghibli movie.

Ib Boltmessiah the magpieman is currently cleansing a gigantic dark pit from goblins. I'm mostly doing that by hovering outside their towers like some feathered attack helicopter and throwing spears into the fortifications. Once done I collect their shinies and my spears and fly to the next tower.

I'm at over two hundred gobbo civilians and counting.
Lets see if I can keep that up until I hit legendary thrower.

Other Games / Re: Shores of Hazeron (new thread with the last updates)

I'm still playing and semi active.
The move to pay2play reduced the playerbase, a lot. There are usually around 10 players online at the same time, with 20 being this months maximum.

On the other hand Haxus is much more active then before. I remember times when we went months without patches, now there is a patch each week, something larger once a month. Some features that have been wished for for a long time have been added (changing jobs across the city from the capitol building, better government system) and he is much more open to suggestions then before.
It looks like he is taking this much more seriously now. He spends more time on the forum and ingame and is a lot more chatty then he used to be, too.

Some annoying things havn't changed yet, though. Game can still be laggy as hell and the crew AI is as horrible as ever (and now that there is collision damage ships are even less likely to survive automated routes trough busy systems).

I'm currently under attack by werellama children.
I have no idea where they come from, it started 4 years ago and there are at least two of them every year.
Always human children. Always llamas.
This is slowly getting really creepy.

They are usually easiely killed and there have been no dwarven losses or infections so far, but they have killed an elf performer and, hilariously enough, 4 actual llamas.

And now I have a really bad urge to create an orwellian fortress...

I'm confused. You weren't already making them?
Nah, so far they were more like a gulag.

So much potential in this thread and not a single 1984 reference.
Words can not my sadness.

Fucking Travis keeps pulling his gun.

What an asshole.

The bar fight?
Yeah, had a similar problem. Curie kept lasering the entire bar to death.
Had to load an older save and drop her off in front of the door like some mutt.

I'm looking forward to drafting ALL the badgerman visitors into my militia.
Hell hath no fury like a badger army scorned.

Or something like that anyways.

I learned, once again, the eternal lesson of Tetris: never ever ever ever ever count on a particular piece showing up.

That reminds me of this video.

LIIIIIINE PIECE

A godly video indeed. And pretty ancient, too.  :P

Its neither of those, but looking for informations about them I accidently stumbled over it.
It was Xenomorph for the Amiga.

Whale's Voyage looks also pretty good, going to add that one to my retro games backlog, thanks.
