This parallel dwarfing should be really hilarious. In one world dwarf can be a legendary whipmaster and in other say potash maker.

Perhaps he is already fully healed? Try dezoning or deconstructing the bed. Or perhaps there really is something wrong with this guy but your doctor is incompetent and can't make sense of the stench of blackening, slowly rotting body parts? Or perhaps your doctor is trying to worm his way out of work because he's had enough of this guy?

Don't have food, don't leave dead stuff lying around, don't have pools or ponds outside and don't melt stone with magma.

Oh, and don't have cats. They produce fly-producing vermin remains. Paradoxical, isn't it?

Well, constructed default traps and pressure plates won't work, but magma is still Very Effective against anything made of goblin. Also, stripping him and then releasing him into the barracks ups your soldiers and their kill count.

i jsut made a statue garden with 250 statues in it, is this adequate or should i expand it further?

No, not enough. You still have hundreds of thousands of unstatued rocks down there. Do something about it. 

Keep the metal for moods and mandates.
