Guy moved a hand to reject a seat. "Don't mind me. This meeting only needs to be a quick affair, it's really just a formality corporate wants." He moves closer to the table, pulls out a pen and paper, and quietly takes her order. After all, assassination was his business, and going for the kill immediately is never the best option. So he continues business as usual, and finally offers the pen to Bagarella so she can sign and complete the order. As she casts her gaze down to the paper to sign he quickly and quietly ends her life with a slash to the throat too fast for her to see.
Dead before she knew it. An anticlimax perfect for a side villain such as Bagarella.
Guy cleans the blood from his knife, entirely unconcerned about any DNA evidence left behind, then turns to the goon, knife steadied in his direction. "I do believe these are less friendly terms, friend. But if you value your limbs, you'll escort me back outside as if nothing happened. Capiche?"
(Ignore the +4, I put that down as a force of habit, it should be +6)

It hasn't even been a week since the last update, Spinal.

Guy grabbed his knife, hid it properly, and began making his way down the building. His "face" was known, but removing it was not an option. He miraculously gets down to the street without incident, and hails a taxi, to avoid getting lost. He gives the driver the address, then takes the silent ride over. [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3847543/]Traffic is light, so he manages to reach the place sooner than planned. He approaches the building, and when a supposed servant answers the door, Guy asks to meet with Dahlia Bagarella.

I should be free to work on SaStu as much as I please until maybe summer, unless I pick up work at some point, which I might try to do. Anyway, you can look forward to more regular updates.

55. Give your players an excessively detailed report of what is around them. And don't group everything of the same type together, describe all 23 of those trees within viewing distance individually, and in great detail.

56. If your players see the same object multiple times, describe that object every single time they see it, and in great detail, even if they don't inspect it.

((Was hoping you'd say something like that.))

Well, I am a lover of the cliche, my good colleague. I would be ashamed of myself if my renegade cop out for revenge against his ex-partner said anything other than that when asked to assassinate said ex-partner.

42. Wounds are too hard to keep reliable track of. Don't do it, man. Say it's "heroic spirit" or something.

That's not necessarily a bad thing to do, though. If a complex wound system really doesn't add anything to the game, or even worse, if it takes more than it adds, then there isn't much point in having one. Would you prefer the PCs be able to act out a cliche and fight through the pain to victory, or would you prefer the PCs slump over into neat little pseudo-comas because their bodies have become too bruised to continue moving?

Might as well post a few horrible things I know I've done.

32. If you have a general idea of how you would do every branching path you offer, heavily recommend the path you like best to the players, that's not railroading at all.
33. If things aren't progressing fast enough, totally Deus ex Machina the game into the future when your characters have super powers.
34. If you're going to have a game functioning more on RP and politics than combat, you should definitely come up with an intricate skill system for combat that will rarely, if ever be used.

Guy was furious. Harvey was a monster, but he was still an old friend. And it wasn't right if it was of someone else's volition that he died. No, Harvey would die by Guy personally. That mask of his torn, everything he took would be taken back. But on Guy's terms. He's prepared to keep Harvey alive and safe until he's ready to take his revenge. So for now, Harvey lives. Guy realized how long his silence had gone on, and speaks up.
"Ma'am, as part of new corporate policy introduced earlier this month, should a VIP such as yourself place an order of this nature through our direct line like this, as a precaution we are required to meet with you in person. If you can schedule something for today, I would be happy to handle the meeting, and can get your delivery going immediately after it is finished. Does this sound acceptable?"

565
Guy answers the phone. "Hello?"

(To you guys in the big group, once the RP is done, and the other two are in their set, I'll update your combat again. Sorry for the delay.)
---Archer and Monk---
"The Trials are a grouping of arbitrary tests designed to test one's will to face hardship. The real trial lies at the end, in Euphoria, the land of dreams, power, and downfall." The prophet pauses for a moment, solemnly observing the two of you. "Heroes are not simply born, you see. Mortals are born with the capability, but can only breach their true power through the graces of Euphoria. Even your precious Azrel, though he is a special case." Again the prophet pauses, though this time she seems to be lost in the past. She speaks again, snapping back into the present. "All six of you children hold dark powers that Euphoria is unable to control. If you fail the Trials, and Euphoria strips you of all light, you will need to chase the darkness if you wish to become stronger." There is one last pause before the prophet speaks again. "I tire of exposition, if you have no more questions, I shall send you to your test. Are you ready?"

If I'm going to play a renegade cop turned assassin, I might as well Ham his story up to extraordinary levels. If I'm lucky, I might be able to Max Payne it up in future flasbacks.
