Would Imbuing a rotten fruit and dumping it in the birthing pit do anything?
I'm not sure what, but it'd do something.

242
Bear in mind that making sacrifices gets us a random blessing, taking the level-up ability may let us choose a blessing...
Since there has been almost no debate over this at all I'll just confirm that if you pick the level up ability you get to roughly choose what you get. You get to place any item on the altar and it get's all magicked up with an ability I think you'll get some use out of. If you want you can imbue say, a bundle of sticks but they won't be as powerful as a single stick.

I'm sort of sitting around doing nothing so I thought i'd stitch all the images together at half size: http://i.imgur.com/J0FM0sd.png
I was going to do full size but flash apparently has a limit.

kaian-a-coel did one a while back (Which was pretty cool of him) but it didn't have the latest of each panel (first shown panel of each if i remember right?) plus it was smaller. I also removed the night effect from the bottom right.

Looking at it at this size I notice the river doesn't match up at the pond. I could swear it did when i drew it.

I vote for orebaron, as it is the only long-term perk.
Forgebaron is also long term. 1/3 off smithing times forever and for everyone you've taught. Just thought i'd point that out while i'm posting.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the hunters seeing the lumpy purple fruit (fixed now though).

Fellhawk's Artisan - Imbue an item with the power of fellhawk - For one item or many items but with longer time of making?
Just the one. Normally you'd have to make sacrifices and such so this is a freebie essentially.

Vulgaras makes the hats pen stronger to hopefully stop anymore breakouts. He also colours the other hat blue.

You get the idling goblin to go and smelt some more ore.

The miner comes out of the mine and says that she can't do any more mining without some way of making it brighter in there.

The Yolc returns with the barrel filled with water. You give him the bag of seeds and the hoe you just made (+25xp  for first item crafted + making the forge!) to start a farm. He asks you where you want it.

You feel yourself grow stronger. Yes, this is it, the moment you've been waiting for since level 1...

Level 2!

You feel that now you have achieved the dizzying height of level 2 you deserve a new title. You should pick one from the list below.
(Short version: Pick a perk)

  • Forgebaron - Your knowledge of the smelting process grows and you can now smelt ore in only two thirds of the time! (This bonus also applies to people you've taught how to smelt)
  • Fellhawk's Artisan - Imbue an item with the power of fellhawk
  • Baronsmith - As a Baronsmith you are both a Baron and a smith. You will receive 20 Yollars in the mail as congratulations on your hard work.
  • Orebaron - After working with metal for so long you can feel it even beneath the ground. You have a rough idea of where to find large deposits of ore and even the location of larger caverns.

SouthWest(pond):

The hunters sneak up on the herd of deerples and aim to kill the sleeping one. With so many eyes they don't think they can get any closer without being spotted.

They also notice some lumpy purple fruit in a nearby tree.

What is that gray thing at the left border (village map) ?
It wasn't always there obviously, since it's missing in kaians big map.
I hope and hope that no one will notice that and then they do. It's actually the edge of the miner's pick. I move her out of sight over there so I don't forget she exists. Obviously I didn't move her over far enough.

The table is finished and the Carpenter will begin work on a ladder so that you can reach the higher fruits.

Monty takes some of the bones and decorates the sacrificial slab.

The forge is complete and you take some of the sticks and leaves off of the felled tree to get the fire going. The goblin with the yellow jacket watches you.

You have the mason begin creating stone blocks for the wall you wish to build.

South(stream):

The hunters go upstream to look for game and the Yolc heads back to the village to drop off the water barrel.

SouthWest(pond):

Gargle gives Tagracka a boost so he can reach the fruit in the tree. He gets both a rotten and an edible one. Gargle thinks that only a bit more filth is required to begin the spawning process.

First you disband the party that was going to explore to the east and instead organize one to scout out the life temple. they take a spear, a sword, the bag of dried meats and the Fellaxe.

You have a little meeting with Vulgaras, the carpenter and the newly arrived mason to discuss defenses. You get some quotes from them regarding the time and materials needed for a trench, a pallisade and stone wall.

Stone Wall(one and a half humans height): 60 Man-turns and 160 stone.
Stone block Wall(one and a half humans height): 45 Man-turns and 60 stone blocks.
Stone Wall(human height): 40 Man-turns and 80 stone.
Stone block Wall(human height): 30 Man-turns and 40 stone blocks.
Low Stone Wall (half human height): 20 Man-turns and 20 stone.
Low Stone block Wall (half human height): 15 Man-turns and 20 stone.

Pallisade(one and a half humans height): 60 Man-turns and 60 wood
Pallisade(human height): 40 Man-turns and 40 wood
Pallisade(half human height): 20 Man-turns and 20 wood

Trench(half human deep): 30 Man-turns
Trench(human deep): 60 Man-turns

Other notes:
The mason can make 3 stone blocks a turn.
The carpenter can make wooden shovels (which will break)
Stone/stone block walls don't require any tools to make (unlike wooden structures which need one hammer per 3 workers).
Each worker digging the trench must have a shovel

Monty and one of the goblins stop the hats from escaping and are trying to get them back into their pen.

The human you sent to gather fruit and berries is attempting to knock down the fruit by throwing rocks since he cannot reach them.

South(stream):
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The hunting party arrives at the stream. The only animals nearby are the two ridge-backs from yesterday and some scattered hats. The yolc fills the barrel with water.

East:

Sorry everyone. At first I just didn't feel like updating since I wanted to do other things. Then I got sick. I'm feeling a lot better now but I've got quite a few things to do. I should be able to do some updates on the weekend though.

250
So, do you want to cancel the current scouting trip which is checking out the local area and instead send them with the guard over to the temple to check things out?

You tell everyone to get to work.

A hunting party and the Yolc head south to hunt and fill the barrel with water.

You get some of the goblins to go on a scouting mission to the east. One of the goblins takes the knife.

You and Monty talk to the trappers before they leave. You begin by asking them about the Ashen Forest. They haven't heard about anywhere called the Ashen forest but they think you might be talking about Blackwood. Blackwood is a patch of forest containing ash trees, they look like they are covered in a layer of ash and have thick heavy wood. They say that there is a giant ash tree in Blackwood which has a life temple built around it. You could walk to the temple in about 7 turns.

A Map and more information has been added to the Information post.

You also get them to buy some more of the Browt skins. They have run out of money though so they only buy another three skins.

It looks like some more migrants have arrived. Among them is a goblin mason (with a beard you suspect is fake). There is also a goblin who used to be a guard until he came here. He has training in both swords and spears and brought one of each.

I was planning on doing an update this afternoon but it turns out I am way to tired. I did some preparation stuff during the week so that should save me some time later on though.

253
Sorry for the lack of updates but I've been doing traveling and Easter stuff.

I would do an update now but I'm using my cpu power to backup all my stuff (including this adventure) in preparation for some hard drive cloning business. Best case scenario I get a hard drive double the size and a faster computer so that'll be good. If things do go badly I've got a copy of this adventure and Flash to work on it so you guys don't really have to worry about anything. If things go well I probably won't update for the rest of the week anyway.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
After dinner everyone heads over to the shrine to watch the sacrifice. The trappers head over and get into their bedrolls for the night.

Monty had a flint brought over for the burning but apparently there was no need. Once Monty finishes his speech about offering the browt to Fellhawk to honor their agreement the browt bursts into green flames which burn away the flesh entirely but leave the skeleton unharmed. The bones then transform into the shape of a large axe.

When the axe appears you hear a voice in your head.

"My followers, I have bestowed upon you the Fellaxe so that you may use it to free the ancient tree in the ash forest. The tree has prayed to me to be released from life and I have chosen you to answer its prayers. Simply piece the bark of the tree with the Fellaxe and the deed will be done."

The voice goes away, apparently everyone else heard Fellhawk too.

After everyone calms down you set up some watches and head to bed.

Then you wake up:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Most people are awake but no one is working.

Gargle is talking to his new assistant and it looks like they may have looked around for more filth before you woke up.

Monty is leading a few of the villagers in prayer.

You feel like setting up your forge. It'll take 5 stone and two man-turns.

Is there anything that we should decide now?
Not really, I only had this break in between the updates so you guys could decide on what to do about the trappers.

Can we negociate sacrificing all non-edible parts of an animal instead of everything? Greeks didnt sacrifice meat. Only bones and fat.
Fellhawk wanted a sacrifice of burnt meat.
