Vote NRDL's but dont build a wall, that would take to long, instead, Light the fire and have everyone get ready for a night, its gonna be a long one.

I'm planning to have night only go for 7 or 6 turns, just to make sure they spend more time working then cowering in fear/fighting/whatever they end up doing at night.

Give of those tough women a shovel and have them dig out a small hole near the fire. Line the bottom with leaves and place our food supply inside before night falls. Cover the top first with sticks, then leaves, and finally a layer of dirt. Lay a few of Rolf's bricks at the edges to protect it!

Send the idlers to help de-branch the trees with their hands, when they have been felled.
This also instead of using clay, and sand to make bricks use mud as it is far more efficient, and much faster than using clay, and sand. As for defenses we should begin digging a trench from the ocean all the way to the edge of our village, and connect them thus making a small moat. We can expand it as needed, and cross it with a simple branch bridge when needed this will give us quite a bit more protection, and should allow us to work through the night if need be. Finally we should also begin preparing some torches to help fend off animals as most animals are scared of fire.

Just to clarify do you want the trench to block off the path to the forest?

Franz Feels a strange sensation overcoming him/her:
Seziure Warning:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Franz has become a Woodcutter! Franz can now chop down/process trees twice as fast!

Rolf has returned from the beach with some sand. But Rolf doesn't know what to do with it. He also discovered the Rolphins which he named after himself(because he's egotistic like that).

Jaiantlandwaylan
(Jaian for short) has returned from the plains. Jaian deliberated for a while on what to call the creatures he found, he toyed with "Giant Land Whales" but decided they may be confused with whales of the south and decided to call them "Grey Horned Land Jians" despite there being no water variety of Grey Horned Jians he thought it was a good idea.

Work continued in the soon-to-be-village with the firepit only needing sticks and !!fire!! to become complete.
The tree will be turned into planks by Franz in no time if he/she continues to process it, but Franz also has ideas about creating a shelter from the leaves and sticks.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Many names are considered but only one rings with the true sound of freedom, justice and all the things the party has set out to achieve...

New Hope

After establishing that the berries are in fact safe to eat thanks to the wonderful science of taste testing the peasants split up and begin to perform their tasks:
One peasant has begun to collect the berries.
One peasant has begun to construct a mine, although it's more or less turning out to be a hole full of clay.
One peasant has started to break apart rocks for the construction of a Fire Pit.
One peasant had taken the hammer and begun the journey east to explore new and uncharted lands(also known as the plains you crossed on the way here).

The tree has been felled and the peasant begins to strip away the branches and leaves finding a bird nest in the process.

 6x Large red berries

A townhall is a bit ambitious but a shelter sounds doable in the short term, one of the peasants takes the axe only and begins to chop down trees in the forest.
One peasant stays behind to watch the equipment while the remaining 3 search for food.

The peasants have discovered: Red Berries

These berries look delicious and have a healthy red glow about them. Do you wish to gather berries for food Y/N?

Lets just suffice to say it's going to be a nice place to live.

To the North are many rolling hills, to the south is a beach as well as a vast lake, there is a large forest to the west and wide open plains to the east.

There is so much to do and so little time. What shall the party do, and more importantly what shall we call this soon to be prosperous township?

This is far funnier then it should be. The engraving on the helmet is a nice touch and I love how the macaque is looking into the sock.
