We need towers for the archers to shoot past the walls from, even the odds a little against anything biological.

Spoiler: Initiative Rolls (click to show/hide)

Trol Grane

whatever, let her run, catching my breath

Okay, this definitely qualifies as an extreme sport. You squat to minimize your profile and breath slowly for a couple minutes, trying to dredge up some last minute energy. [Stamina roll 4] Given a couple seconds without fighting you manage to catch your breath. (+5 Stamina) You take a moment to grab you knife from the floor as well.

You are now fatigued, passive abilities function again.

---

Independent Female

The effects of Tarics mental assault fading the Independent she [Dex roll 1] spectacularly fumbles her last clip off the edge of the platform.  She quickly grabs a gun from one of the dead, [Observation 2]  she grabs another chimera from the ground, also empty. You begin to seriously wonder how Trol and Taric were at all threatened by these morons.

---

Dominique Wakeman

Dom ignored the bullets glancing off the back of her armor; they hadn't hurt her and from the sound of things Tarran was shooting at whoever had shot at her. Sensing her moment, she stomped down at the writhing independent's throat, then turned to the woman and threw the stun baton at her. Telekinesis was going to be her deal and she tried to use it to make sure that weapon hit her as fast and hard as it possibly could.

[Melee 3+1+1 target stunned Vs luck 5] The man is still convulsing from your baton to the face and your heel hits air as he curls farther into the fetal position. The still standing independent has a gun leveled at you, [Telekinesis 4, str 3+1+1 boost Vs dodge 6] the woman is more agile than you would have believed. Though you manage to augment the throw so that the baton would have hit tip first with shocking force, she steps to the side, discards her pistol, and snatches the flying baton out of the air in one motion. Okay, well she isn't completely incompetant.

Tarran Smith

Jump and slam into Ivan like a wrestler.

You complete your crazy charge with a flying leap, angling your knee down into Ivan's spine. [Fighting roll 3+1, Vs dodge 4-1] [Passive kinetics 3+1] If he hadn't been stunned by Tarics mental assault you think he might've managed to pull off the roll that tried to take him away from you, as it is he doesn't and your knee punishes his ribs. [Str 3+1+1 momentum, Kinetics boost] Several somethings crack under the sudden intense force, [Ivan soak 5-1] Ivan grunts at the pain, but nothing else. (Ivan is severely wounded, and is in great pain.)

---

Taric Sizier

Reload my weapons

You spend some quality time with your guns, reloading everything you own while you have a spare moment.

---

Medic

The Medic runs away from Trol, vanishing down a door farther down the explosively renovated room.

The Battle Below

[Luck 1] The Tempo of the battle has changed, becoming more focused and more desperate. Without warning multiple heavy blows pummel the floor from below, ripping holes in it in several places. [Group luck rolls 2, 3, 6, 3] They miss most everyone but one of them clips Tarran, sending him spinning off of Ivan. [Enemy luck rolls, 3, 3, 4] The ruptures dance around the remaining independents as well, when they subside it feels like everything that's been holding this platform up has been taken away. The floor lurches down sickeningly and begin to part from the wall behind you.

You think you have time for one last desperate action before the floor plummets fify odd feet with you in the passenger seat.

He's in a non sequitorial zone.

Wait for it, they'll take the bait and leave you with delicous irony....

Call the Falcon, drive my staff through the frozen merman.

7266
"Well you all have certainly have very interesting lives!"

Get back to back with one of the other ranged combatants, start flinging ice bolts at anything with scales.

DIPLOMACY

The Caerri guards fall back to guarding the pipeline except for one, who will acccompany two of the workers to these new creatures. Communication will take place through shapes made by the tentacles of the guard.

The Caerri at the great colony will split it's focus on their first great chore, the creation of new life. Modeled after the fish that were seen nosing around it is small even compared to a Caerri, they are designed to follow simple hormonal commands secreted by the Caerri Colony itself. They will keep everything clean of detritous, will be eaten for food, and when necessary can be used as a distraction for anything attacking the colony.

The other half of the colonies focus goes into making re-usable biological tools, so that instead of each caerri growing their own the may merely link with one of the tools and be able to command it as their own flesh.

7268
And that kids is why you should never hit ketchup packs with these hammers.

7269
Yeah, I've just learned that painless enemies don't fall easily to war hammers and bolts, they just shrug and keep on slashing until they finally die. We might want some slashing weapons to cut off hands and feet, but our material options are pretty limited, and I don't really feel like going for adamantine cheating.

Giant glass serrated disk weapon traps?

7270
Solution: Cut his Left arm off ;D

Well if he's holding the knife in his left had that may happen on its own...

7271
See, You should never use two SMGs anywhere near us...

Personally I wouldn't sit next to him at the dinner table if was holding the knife in his left hand.

Also, Tarran. Ivan Is laying down, that melee attack sounds like it's for a standing opponent.

Erk... We'll go towards the cave.

Maybe first contact will be peaceful.

7273
Sorry for the delay guys, got sucked into a book (Dresden files) and forgot to check back in an hour.  I generally do this last anyway because of the time consumption.

Trol Grane

Surge this bitch

Your wrist hurts a lot, dislocations are not your favorite injuries. Though come to think of it you don't have a favorite injury. Angry and pain filter into you and you give the medic the psychic uppercut. [Surge 3] (-5 stamina) You're not the most practiced at this and the fatigue of battle is starting to wear on you, [Medic will 5] and though you cause some involuntary trembling she doesn't seem to effected. Your armor which has been slowly but steadily eaten away by corrosives suddenly pops off you, not good.

Light body armor has been destroyed.
Your stamina has fallen below 25%, you are exhausted. (Passive abilities no longer function, bonus rolls are at 1/4)

---

Taric Sizier

Stay down

This whole psychic thing is draining you more than you'd like to admit in front of Dom, you don't think you could handle putting out another psychic attack like that. You hunker down to the ground, making yourself a smaller target.

---

Dominique Wakeman

Dom winced behind her shield as the grenade went off. Damn, I thought the frost was the only thing it did, she thought, caught off-guard. Not nearly as unprepared as they had been, she figured, as she put away the carbine. Hmm, what to do about them, though... She rifled through her pockets until her hand found the stun baton. "Oh, you assholes are in trouble now," she said with a vicious grin, pulling it out. "And I think I'll start with you." She charged at the blue-suited independent.

Whipping the buzzing baton before you menacingly you charge, your mental store of favorite music going full blast. [Dex roll 4] You clear ten yards in mere seconds, bringing the added momentum into your swing. [Melee 3 Vs Dodge 1-1] The traumatized man panics and leaps, trying to dodge your swing. His style of dodging seems to involve smashing his face into your baton, well whatever Taric did is as effective as it was wrong. [Strength 2+1+1+1 bad dodge, momentum] The stun baton smashes into his face with a crackle of sound and a whiff of ozone, the man reels [Luck roll 3] falling down and clutching is head in agony.

Independent is stunned, prone, and in agony.

Medic

Quote
Run, disable and run.

The medic doesn't seem like the combat type, considering the fact that she hasn't given her holstered pistol so much as second thought. She seems more scared than anything else and employs a maneuver used by centuries of woman on larger male assailants. [Melee 4 Vs Trol dodge 5] Fortunately for his manliness Trol sees the attack coming and twists to keep the sensitives out of harms way. [Medic dex 2] She doesn't have much in the way of alacrity as she scrambles away from Trol, and she doesn't make it far.

---

Tarran Smith

Dual wield my Sleipnirs and charge at Ivan, while shooting at him.

"DIE YOU ASSHAT. THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR SHOOTING ME!"

Screaming obscenity you draw the SMGs from your side clips and make a running charge at Ivan while unleashing a torrent of bullets. [Quickshot 1-2 offhand (+negated), 3+1+1-1 dual wield.] Once again you prove to the world why you hold your drinks in your right hand, you'd have a lot more stains if you tried to hold a glass in your left. [Luck 3, Dom armor 4+1] Her position behind Ivan makes it all but impossible for a few bullets not to hit her, still you weren't aiming for any of the weak points and her thick armor does it's job and deflects the friendly fire. Your right hand SMG shoots true though, [Ivan armor 4] and while Ivan's armor takes most of it, a chunk of the force gets through.

---

Ivan

Quote
Merciful God... I could use some help...

As Tarran's fire hits his armor Ivan returns fire, [Quickshot 2-1] missing the charging man with every slug.

---

The Battle Below

The swell of screams and gunfire from below has reached a fever pitch, it would seem that the independents have started trying to push back the attack. Something hits the partial floor you're standing on, it creeks and trembles a little before subsiding.

The Caerri are sad to see their brethren parting, many minds that will not be seen again for some time.

15 Caerri set out to form a new colony further along the bones, 5 of them are armed with nematocyst tentacles and are prepared to defend the group. The other ten trundle slowly away from their first colony, laying a long line through which biological resources can be pumped to aid in the creation of the new colony which shall be known as "Those-who-see-what-may"

The rest of the Caerri will focus on building more floater sacks to stabilize the pressure the existing colony is exerting and they shall also spend some quality time having important things like children.
