There are not any other vermin hunters are there? Like a special cast of giant tigers with the [LIKES_FIGHTING] tag?

There aren't any I can think of off the top of my head. You could always add the [VERMIN_HUNTER] (or whatever it is) tag, but the problem with that is that is changes the creature's AI package. Whatever you added it to would start to act like a cat as far as wandering about and adopting (i.e. mind controlling) your dwarfs.

just adding that tag to my current 40 elephants and releasing them .. yaaay fun ^^

Apparently it does have something to do with Hauling.
"I turned "haul wood" off of  all of my woodcutters and "some" of them started chopping wood again.  Not sure why others arn't but wood production is BACK!
I can't wait to get more wood now!

i still think it has to do with not enough storage space for wood .. that would explain the activating when you disabled wood hauling .. allways have enough free stockpiles ready

Also, from what the guy on Livejournal who posted it says, all the cats in the Whakatane  area are descended from the surviving cat :D

its called descended ... it was a male cat ..that willfully just spread his genetics among the catladies .. as cat-guys just do all the time

you dont need 2 survivors if there are enough female cats on the mainland .. wich i take as granted  as cats even solo living with himans are widespread ...

maybe he just managed to keep away any other males .. male cats are prone to do so (my own housecat is father of like half the cat  population where i lived as youth  due to him roaming around and bashing any other cats

you were heroes in your valiant charge of together with the rest of the full squad of conscripted axemen ... disabling each a wave of attackers alone ...

but well

how do you both manage to get lost of your big left toe  to get it bitten off!!! or stabbed off by a wooden pike .. and now be invalided at the hospital ...

its a toe ..

how can there be a total leg nerve damage going up from there preventing you from leaving the bed anymore ... especially as you walked home with it and laid down into the bed yourselves ...

i sense a lazy pretender ...

your luck is that the hospital is in a crowded area i cant afford to submerge in lava ...

i hope you enjoy the company i built up in the future for you by creating  the graveyard of the poor civilian dead of both sieges right next to your bed .. may they bring you joy

well i dont know what you are witnessing nowadays ..but getting disembowled kinda makes you collapse instantly .. (ok  when your still active kinectic energy took its part .. means you fall into that direction  the higher energy part was going to :) )

edit: seems there is another flag preventing trade .. nothing changed and its not baby snatching thiefing or the can speak thing..well imma find out ..

edit 2: found it i had to change the creature raw not the entity^^

i am kinda searching my self to death . can someone pls elevate me what flag i have to insert into the custom civs entity so they are able to trade with me? *just want to mod me  the tigermans of fortress defence a bit cause now all civs are hostile anytime*

AFAIK, they need a path to their firing point, and at least one tile worth of line of sight to the archery target.

thats why channels before the target breaks them

If you've assigned your woodcutters to the military, that's bugged because woodcutters have their own "civilian" arms and equipment (the axes), so trying to reassign them borks the axes and causes them to act weird.

but that usually just hinders them to equip for military duty not for refusing to labour in the woods

for training use danger rooms 1*1 rooms are enough with wooden training spears .. setups for this you will find in the wiki i think or the forums ..

for courtmarshalling .. just kill those buggers off or command them into the caves :)

as said in the other thread ..checked the targets line up .. right directions? .. try to seperate each target from the others ..mean just room one of each target without overlapping to others .. it sometimes causes bugs ..

channeling before targets is not usefull cause this will break the shooting range
