It's 1:30 PM here.

1487
Turn 25

You ratchet up enzyme production, pumping the newly-formed chemical cocktail into weak membrane sacs stored in the stomach cavity. You fling two of these at the worm with your manipulator, keeping one of the "bombs" in reserve. The clumsy pseudopsuedopod just manages to hit the worm. The deadly package bursts, encompassing part of the worm with a cloud of enzymes. It severely burns the worm, leaving a good portion of the middle segments cracked and oozing the worm's insides. It definitely gave the thing pause, but it isn't smart enough to leave you alone.

Time to finish it. You storm forward while producing a self-replicating destructive enzyme and mixing it with the stored chemicals in the sac. You realize that it would be a good idea to have a method of delivering the chemicals from long range besides slinging them in water-catching sacs. One of the pseudopseudopods are modified into an enzyme-injector; instead of being a manipulator with light-duty stinging bits, it is now a heavy-duty hypodermic chemical deliverer. Unlike the proto-nematocysts, it is able to puncture thick membranes at long range.

You slam into the worm, shell first, impaling it with several of your spikes. It retaliates, arcing its body around and grabbing your soft underside with its mandibles, pulling at the tissue. The mixture is pumped into the injector and you stab blindly where you think its head is. The injector punctures something, sinking into the flesh. You grapple the worm with your manipulators, pulling it away from your body. It is still holding you fast, but you are pumping it full of the replicator mixture. Your underside is beginning to tear slightly, but you may be able to bite the worm with some maneuvering. You realize that when you grabbed it, something pricked you- your pseudopseudopods are starting to tingle.

Or we could have separate biological traits.

I think that aside from sphere traits, we should have biological traits. Things like "amphibious" or "flyer" or "gilled" or something could be separate traits.

Erm, micelus:
Quote from: Rules for Species
Traits higher than T1 require two foundation traits from lower tiers with at least twice the points as the higher trait.
which means that your Grasping Tentacles requires another foundation trait with 10 points.
Or two T1 Traits with 5 points each.

I like the map, but you take a look at the maps of previous games. There may need to be more hexes. Also, if you're good with paint, you should look at drawing a map then tracing it with the grids. Or PM the person who made the previous map (with the labeled tiles and traced map) and ask what they used.

Ashton, did you get my PM? About the thing? You know, the one thing that does the thing? :P

I'm going to be working on that project? I forgot to attach the picture, so I'll resend it. :)

I'm so sorry. I accidentally posted this here instead of in one of my other games. :-[

I wondered why my post didn't turn up in the Pixel Game thread. >.<

Not that I know of. I haven't combed the threads thoroughly enough to know what they used.

Here's a list of people who asked to join in the planning thread, by the way. I think I got them in order.
-Armok
-Sinpwn
-micelus
-sayaks
-lemon10
-ashton1993

And I might count, 'cause I created the thread. :P

Well, we do have some people who already reserved a spot in the planning thread...

I will modify my species to keep up with the new rules and stuff. I'm good with maps, so I could help. You could try Hexographer, but the program used by previous games is different and labeled and looks somewhat sleeker than Hexographer.

Why does this remind me of a public Terraria server?

Because you sent me that PM with plans on it and I had to redraw bits of the map for you 'cos you sent it after I'd already done a turn and drawn the next one which was awkward for me, hey, it's not a fair game. But you'll probably have another random event this turn which makes you feel stronger so chin up lady  :P

Oh, fine. Thanks for taking the effort to do that. :P I thought it was another balancing thing, and I was all, FFFFF-

:D

I'll be sending you a concept for the thing I'm building later.

...Why did I get a headache? I'm not really liking the random event things. They at least shouldn't randomly half-kill me. Expand the forge into an assembly area. Begin construction of the parts (from the PM). First will be the motive parts.
