I kind of miss just getting to attack someone because you can.
Yeah. I miss this as well, does anyone know why the system is how it is now? I think the first CK was much better in this way. I mean, you still needed reasons I think, but it was way more flexible. I wonder why they changed it.
CK2 would be even more ridiculously easy if you could just attack anyone.
CK2's difficulty isn't really in CB, it's mostly just in the tedium. And random luck. Really, my biggest gripe with the game is everything is based on chance.
I want that territory, but it's all a random check to see if I can forge the claim. I want my tech to level up, but it's all a random check to see which tech gets a level up. I want to assassinate that person, but it's all a random check...
Really, that's probably one of my larger concerns with the game. Almost everything in it boils down to a lot of %'s and luck. It might be kind of realistic, but I wish I could just send my Chancellor somewhere, wait a few months, and automatically get the claim instead of waiting for months, or years for the RNG to be kind on me. Also I want a friggin' tech tree, it's not realistic or historical I know, but argh. That tech system just drives me batty.
