HOW DARE YOU SAY SUCH BLASPHEMS! They are all equip with leather armor and the latest in wooden training sword technology. And my epic wrestler/ malita leader just died. But the beast is close to death.
Now my manager has thrown a tantrum.
Im going to let this play out the start another fort.

well the eldrich beast crawled out of the watter and im fighting it on land. It's killed every dwarf it came into contact with so far. Just to add insult to injury its a "weak" Jabberer. So far 5 dwarves dead and it only has suffered a bruised thigh.

I mostly rely on traps and a few epic wrestle dwarfs, trade for weapons or steal them from stupid elves. I just never got that far to really need them honestly.
I am currently working on my most successful fort, a 7 year fort in a wild region.

Ok. I have a huge underground cavern with a bridge spanning it. and 1 z level down is watter. Alot of it. And in that water I am discovering is a fucking jabberer who is eating my dwarves left and right. aside from closing the bridge (which I will probably do for the time being) the only thing i can think of is to have some crossbowers shoot him. But im not entirely sure how to negotiate this part.

  • How do I arm my dwarves with a specific weapon (crossbows).
  • How do I make them stand on the brige and fire at it ( 1 z level down)
  • Can they even fire across z levels?
