Roll To Dodge / Re: Roller's Block (RTD Brainstorming Thread)

Is there any other GMs that would be both good enough and know enough to make a working Geneforge/Shaper RTD here? I've seen Aklyon try it twice, but he didn't get very far either time. :-\ Its such a good universe to do one in though, I'd say.

Looking at the last few pages or so after seeing a link to it in the Forum Games Awards nominations thing, this looked pretty well planned, but was cut short before it could reach awesome by technical difficulties. What would we need to do to revive this and see what it could really turn into? Most of the stuff seems to be already prepared to work, just needs rules to decide things by in-game. I'd take a spot if someone can't, though I don't have that much time usually.

For the You Are Winner Award.

YOU ARE WIZARD for sheer amazingnes.
Evolution for being an amazing game about Plump Helmet Overlords.
Seconding YOU ARE WIZARD and Evolution.
Can I add a backing to these two, or am I too new?

Holy grail is.. Well it is Holy grail.
Are you saying coconuts migrate by that?

General Discussion / The Avatars thread.
« on: October 11, 2011, 05:15:25 pm »
After the stuff in the rage thread about avatars, I was kinda curious why everyone picked what they did as an avatar.

So, I'll start: I don't have an avatar because I can't decide what I want to shrink to fit there.

I found an epic drill smashing that wasn't from Gurren Lagann!
That show is great an all, but seeing massive drill/hammer-based destruction elsewhere definitely made me happy today!

So, apparently ACTA has 'passed', Anyone have thoughts on it, besides whats in the RAGE thread? I'd say the picture on there is pretty accurate.

Lets not stall on this, shall we? I'll break the tie in favor of the Divine Arcane because while monty python is well and good and fun, you can't beat a massive blast as a useful thing to have as a priest.

Nice pick of video to show of Divine Buster with :P
Yes, its a Nanoha reference.

You start with a single HHG, there's more in the other churches. Starting with the book of the Divine Arcane will give you 15 cartridges (enough for three shots if I counted the ones in the video right), or a Device and enough for a single buster shot.

You, being a priest of some kind, have decided to be journeying. Which book was yours to take with you?

Spoiler: Books (click to show/hide)

(yes, they both are referencing something. there might be more original books later, but I really just wanted to start with those to quotes because they just seem like the kind of thing you'd get in a forum game, and because I'd seen both of those shows recently)

General Discussion / The End of the world! (US politically, anyway)
« on: September 20, 2011, 10:07:49 pm »
We've got the insane ones trying to shred any idea that is not explicitly their own, the slightly less so ones that won't outright call war, but won't even look up the word 'compromise', and then the ones who used to be called the extreme ones doing something, probably. And then all the other side using this as their main battering ram to get in office by pointing out that they aren't the ones suggesting to tear down anything that isn't giving away profits to the businessmen.

Anyone have some interesting links on this, or want to say something?

So I've been playing Civ IV BtS some lately (on Noble), and then found this mod, which is pretty awesome. Not sure if it actually needs Beyond the Sword to work, though.
Anyway, putting this up here seems like it'll attract all the people who are super doubleplus good at Civ and beat me easily or something, but I'm putting it here anyway because fun. Probably use Hamachi or Tunngle or something in case there are people who don't have Civ but want to play this anyway. Not really sure on a date either, but I'm in EST. So, anyone?
