Population below the poverty line is near equal.

Just a quick note on that, if Belgium is anything like France (where I live), then "poverty" isn't quite the same in Belgium and in the US, and it'll be interesting to compare both situations more extensively.

On top of my head, unlike the US, if you're poor in Belgium you still can afford to go to the hospital, you can forego having a car and use the public transportation, etc, you actually have access to a lot of services, paid by the government, that you couldn't really afford otherwise. In the US, all that falls on your shoulders.

Also, there's all the social laws and protection. Unemployment indemnities are higher, last longer, and low-pay jobs are better in many regards (vacations?). It's also more complicated to get fired. In the US, not only do you have to pay everything yourself, but your income is much less secure, and if you lose it, things can get ugly real quick.

So being poor doesn't quite mean the same thing in the US and in Belgium. Poverty is also not always defined in the same way - different governments have different ways to measure it. (Or am I saying something stupid and "poverty line" is an international standard ?). Anyways, I thought it'd be an interesting thing to note.

Well, if humans survive, we'll have to live on caribou burgers and caribou bacon. Kitchen is going to become a lot more boring.

Cholerna łacina, przez nią połowę z was poniekąd rozumiem V:<

Posting to watch :) you make the game un-scary as possible !

Where do you come from, if I can ask ? I have never heard your accent before.

Also a Casbah is some sort of walled fortress, and by extension it's a neighborhood in Algiers.

You're doing well enough Svarte ! Allez la France ! :D

And I'm +1 for attacking the italians if you can do that.

Yeah, this is me. Due to an excessive amount of vehicular hijinks when I was younger, it takes quite a bit to scare me behind the wheel.

The only thing I'll really call people out on is drifting.

Sort of a similar thing happened to me. I've been to Algeria a couple times, and going back home everybody seemed to drive safely and gently in comparison.

Haven't seen the ad.

I'd speak up if I actually feel unsafe, but I don't care if the driver doesn't follow the law or something like that. It also takes a lot to make me feel unsafe, so I'm probably not a good "back seat driver".

My friend eats a pizza with goat cheese and honey on top of some white sauce instead of normal tomato one. It sounds delicious, and I would have certainly loved it if I actually liked cheese.

Might try something like that with some kind of nuts instead of the goat cheese, but I'm not sure the nuts would cook well.

As for me, I think I'm fairly standard. Pineapple ! And peppers. I miss peppers, french people never eat much peppers, that or the people I know are all delicate and fragile or something.

Huh, I always thought it was -6.

I just tend to always confuse whether I should add or retract X hours from where I live to know what time is it in New York / Los Angeles / whatever. I am not good with time zones.

Anyways, I'll try to pop in late at night for me and say hello today ! :)
