General Discussion / Re: Things that made you sad today thread.

Found out mom's been logged into my sister's Facebook account, since some time far in the past when Chrome captured her password (presumably she clicked a "remember me" box somewhere.) My brother and sister have been complaining about Mom over Facebook, and she's been using these private conversations as fuel for the drama-fire that's been burning hot for weeks now. I do not feel anything because this behavior is 100% normal for all involved. My life is retarded. I turn 21 in a month, on that day I will start drinking and never stop.

Why bother waiting, just start drinking now. Unleash your inner american, I know you can do it.

The act itself of withdrawing from the Paris Agreement isn't worrying, it's what it represents for this administration. President Trump has shown himself to be easily influenced into poor, short-term decisions with no respect to the nuance and long-term consequences of these decisions. I fully expect more absolutely mental policy decisions in the future.

Burning has turned into a low smoldering in the bottom of my guts. uuuugh, hate when I get like this over people. Hate it hate it hate it.

I'm hungry but I don't feel like eating anything. I'm pretty sure I could stand to lose some weight, anyway. At least I managed to clean up and visit some friends today, hey, "always look on the bright side of life"

lots of mood whiplash lately. I'm feeling horny, angry/frustrated, depressed, happy for one friend, disgusted by another, and I don't feel like doing much of anything (eating, showering, moving at all), let alone driving home to visit my family. Yet, I love my fam, and I know they'll cheer me up, it's just the drive i'm not looking forward to.

Plus I have work tonight. Ughh

only thread I can think to post in because my mood can only be described right now as "bewildered"

I'm trying to deal with half a dozen of my friends and they've all got some kind of drama going on, and one of them wants to fuck me all of a sudden. What the shit, man.

I took a nap cos I was in such a shitty mood, woke up and, jeez, there's a whole lot of stuff going on

sometimes I wish I was made of grass. No responsibilities, no worries, no emotions, just drink the sun and water, and grow forever

Comp game, match point (15 - 14) on T side, we're 3v3 running towards A trough T spawn. A friend who's dead is coaching me (lol), saying something like "hey, there's only one person on their team who can kill you, and it's -"

as soon as he's about to say the name of the player, I peek out of cover and one tap the best player on their team

"oh"

(we won)

@TBeholder
there was a game exactly like that, and a few games were run in the lets play board a few years back IIRC. Unfortunately, the game was copyright taken down and i can't seem to find it anywhere.

The United States set a red line and it got crossed. Takes a few years, but you can certainly trust the United States to follow through on promises. Once we've tried everything else.

We don't even know if a red line got crossed. We don't even know what happened to release the poison gas.

Until we know what actually happened military intervention over the issue is just insane.

I think Strife is referencing the original gas attacks and the Obama's red line.

But after that The US, Russia and Syria agreed that Syria would destroy it's chemical weapons, which they actually did.

you have to understand, Assad is really one of the last powerful ba'athists left, and they're a special kind of crazy. I'd bet money they've got chemical weapons squirreled away somewhere.

Pretty much, of course I'd guess I'd question the need of American interventionism in general these days.

American support of Saudia Arabia blows straight past "pragmatic" straight into stupid, in my opinion. We make such a big deal of taking a hard line against islamic extremism, but we refuse to take action against the country who's largest export is wahabism.

Remind me of a tweet by some syrian bloke, in response to a news report that Saudi Arabia was pledging troops to the Syrian conflict; "SA already has a militia in Syria, it's called ISIS"

to clarify the drinking and the sex are two different things, but i'll probably drink with my friend, because we like to drink and watch anime, and there's a, uh, let's call it 60% chance that i'll sleep with them

298
Wasn't there some browser game that was used to help create strategies to fight piracy in south africa? I recall something about how you could play as either pirates or CT and it was a sort of grand strategy deal
