stop calling it a bug out of hand.

if there is a violation of a mandate, an entry in the justice screen is made. You don't need a sherrif, guards or army for that

as to the doors, was there an angry dwarf at some point? he might have destroyed them.

I'm playing with the latest DF version and I don't know why I have no doors I believe I built them and placed them at least 2 doors and then I save and days later resumed the game and I think i have more bug but I don't remember them now.

Can someone help me?

I whould like to know if the play could make a unevil region evil if his dwarfs die a lot and one or some dwarfs become berserk and started a dwarf's Texas massacre.

Does this make a place evil then if the player would reclaim it again?

Are there any offline manual ?

I'm no asking for a noobs guide but a reference of the game.

I tend to play one fort per version, which ends up meaning one fort per world.

Hopefully at some point past forts will matter.  Until then, why bother?

Yes yes this something I had in mind as I find that I might have to do this by force
sine I left a good game in chaos in version 18 then i move to 19 just because it had super cool features but version 20 and then 21 made me stick with 19
as I had cool fortress layout like a real one and my 1st one with buildings out
and walls so is well defended even do has only 6 spear guards.

I wish someday we can have a less painful update process and multiple games in a same world

First rule of suggestions: Just because LOTR did it, does not mean, in any way shape of form, that DF should do it. I think it would be interesting to have smoking ingame, yet I don't know if it seems 'dwarfy'. I don't know, my view of dwarfy might differ from yours, but for me this seems like a human thing.

Well must be that i'm reading the book and not long ago I read a part about how much Gimli likes smoking and pipin had to give a pipe that he had to gimli.

I understand about these rules or ideas just as DF to me is so much like LOTR.

How many fortresses do you have in a single world ?

I plan to build another depending on how my end come on my current one
if I have all in chaos I might leave and retake it with just a squad if not
I'll build another with a minimum group or military squad in same world.

To bad I can't play like in the sims having few fortresses at a time in same world.
