Yes it is!
...Though you should note that clarity also goes hand in hand with how you vote.
Why do you think I asked? Aside from common courtesy, of course.

Quote
You just voted me without any reason behind it but to return a vote :v
It's as good a reason as anyone's gonna have at this stage.

Quote
That said, I like how you give flavor. Giving tips in that text, mmm?
Mayhaps. Mayhaps.

What purpose were you forwarding?
Hm?

4maskwolf seems like the kind who's trying to have fun instead of psychoanalyzing everything. I'm sure this is a tell that points to him being a scum. notquitethere seems to be fishing for tells to figure out who's who. I'm sure this is a tell that points to him being a scum. TheDarkStar is asking questions and seems to be showing a bit of a sense of humor, but hasn't answered any questions yet. I'm sure this is a tell that points to him being a scum. You have answered questions fully and seem to be trying to be nice to the newbie. I'm sure this is a tell that points to him being a scum.
..Vague impressions which don't state where they go?
And obviously copy pasted given your wording slip in noting me there?
. . .Interesting.
It's mostly a parody of some of the reasoning I've seen in the previous Mafia game I've participated in, which I sincerely hope and simultaneously doubt is unusual.

Grate isn't allowed the pill machine.

Then again, seeing him become a statue would be entertaining.
He bought it, and he intends to use it. And test it on disposable little test subjects before authorizing human testing.
On that note, would Xan consider providing homunculi for Grate to test on if the moleant things don't work out?

Ship Delta (for now): Team F (for now): Grate (for ever)

Eject! Leave the doomed ship! Say goodbye to the battle and hello to...well...a wait until we either get picked up by some ship or simply de-orbit, whichever comes first.

Stuff.

The short version is online Youtube party.
No, I mean how do you get it to work?

Nah, the most radical thing I'll do beyond that is turn sections of people's skin to mythril for a high price.
And the dirt.
Would you be willing to provide Grate with a small amount of mythril for use with the pill machine if you got a mythril pill?

1011
Why am I on two different ships?
You may want to see a medic. I hear that people in that kind of condition tend to bleed to death quickly.

1012
((Phooey, I was hoping piecewise would take that action literally in some amusing fashion.))

Posted this in DMR. If people like it, I'll keep it running. You can put yourself in the dj rotation too.
How does that site work?

The Deathcube is still in the Sword's rec room. Two tokens to whoever figures out how to use it.
What Deathcube?
A mysterious alien cube that has a grid on it - each square is a button. Combinations can be tried out on it. Two known combinations are "kill self" and "destroy something nearby", I believe.
Speaking of, you're the top candidate to test it out! Then again, now that we know the combination for "kill self", it should be a little less dangerous.
Ooh...
What are those combinations?

I don't think I can fit lackluster labs on my build. Not enough x32 space. Also I'm considering using people's names as kerbals for my future missions. Volunteers?
I'm willing.

Also, what's that part with the leaf on the side from?

Nyars boxes are awesome. I've had a 100% satisfaction rate with what I got. What isn't to like about a sentient, intelligent, malicious, and sadistic cannon attaching itself to your arm and making you do random stuff to be able to use it without knowing what any of the buttons on it do.
My satisfaction rate is much lower; the one I have bought from Nyars is a power source that lacks compatibility with standard charging cords. The one that I got secondhand has been taken away from me, but with enough experimentation it has the possibility to be...excellent.

This actually sounds like a good idea. Noobs get artifacts, more experienced people see the side effects and then when the noobs die from bad luck/stupidity/not knowing what to do, the more experienced people get the items. Call it the "Nyars for Newbies" like Beirus suggested. Everybody wins!  :D
I like this idea, except that I'd like to make the caveat that the new guys should write up a will. This one goes to Jim, this one to Miya, etc; the receiver can keep it or distribute it to someone as s/he sees fit.

Call it the '!!SCIENCE!! pool'. Players put tokens in and bet on how the eventual receiver of the tokens will die. At any point, a new inmate science experiment solider can volunteer to 'use' the pool, in exchange for their initial 5 tokens, at which point the pool controller will buy random Nyras boxes of whatever sizes (but not types) that player wants with all the money in the pool (including the 5 tokens from the newbie). The 'user' is required to use all of them, immediately if applicable.
The winners of the pool get to split whatever is salvaged off the corpse. No winner until he dies, deaths unrelated to an artifact don't count :P

We could possibly fiddle with it a bit more. Maybe make it so they can pick a color, but are required to get a heptagon of that color? Would give the poor newbie some control over what type of thing they got, but they'd still get something insanely dangerous :D
Seems a bit...exploitative.

Buy a decagon, then. Even more dangerous!
I don't think Nyars has those.
Edit: Also, what happens if the brain survives? Are you considering that a death, or do you bring them back, then send them out with the artifacts again and another body, then repeat until they actually die?
Or, for that matter, if they're unplayable but still "alive"?
Or, alternatively, "dead" but still playable?

The Deathcube is still in the Sword's rec room. Two tokens to whoever figures out how to use it.
What Deathcube?

2 lame jokes:
So Jim is vulnerable to heart attacks?
So Jim is vulnerable to the Spanish Inquisition?
The second one wasn't actually that bad.
The first one was terrible, though.

Mafia / Re: Mini Mafia Madness: A Clown Car full of bodies (DAY 1)

Mega question time!

Tents 1, 2, and 3:

Everyone:
1. What do you all think the hinted roles are (like ones that can affect other games)?
2. Who would you inspect right now if you could?
3. Which roles do you think there are?
4. How many scum do you think there are in your game (since it was hinted that there could be one or two)?
5. How beneficial is rolefishing here?
6. What unstated mechanics do you guess there are?
7. Should I have used individual questions?
I missed a question.
8. What do you think the odds are that I don't even survive to Day 2 in any tent?
1. Hard to say at this point. None of my Roles have such abilities.
2. Everyone.
3. The ones described in the OP. Maybe some others.
4. There are three tents of five, which I doubt have multiple clowns. The tent of six might have two.
5. Not sure what that is or how you would do it.
6. Probably not many.
7. Maybe.
8. Pretty low.

GWG Mafia's pretty intense right? Lot's of hoops to jump through. What's you strategy for winning while also having fun?
From what I've seen from the other Mafia game I've played, fun isn't nearly as important as winning. Certainly, the standard of behavior required to not get people to lynch you is remarkably high.

GWG 4: Welcome to Mafia, you!
What do you feel right now? First impressions on people?
How do you think Forum-Mafia is played?

One, Two, Four

One of the golden ones glances at the others in the tent. Two dark ones, a young griffon, a...um...something clever based on Tiruin's name. One of the dark ones had been asking questions, and the last had been friendly enough. One of the others seemed to...not feel so well about it, though.
One of these needed to be lynched before morning, and the golden aspect had no intention of being the one. There was, as of yet, no way to know who could be one of the murderous clowns; yet, the incarnate aspect would have to select one to vote. In the end, it chose to select DarkPaladin due to his silence as much as anything.

Another such incarnation takes his chances as he looks at the others. The curious dark one and the griffon were both there, as was a pale one and one who is not quite there. The last aspect seemed to be playing some kind of game, acting like he was trying to subtly sift information from small talk, or perhaps acting like he was doing such. He also suspected every aspect of the pale one, who so far remained silent.
This aspect was saddened by seeing such unfounded accusations, so he naturally chose to vote for the elimination of notquitethere from the tent.

The last golden one gazed down on the others in his tent, the largest. The griffon was, a third time, in the same tent; the second of the dark aspects and the last aspect from the first tent, who had accused him out of the blue, were present, as were the pale and nonexistent aspects from the second tent.
He chuckled when the aspect accused him, and simply returned an accusation right back: Tiruin, who dared to accuse him, got an accusation in return.

Is it clear which vote is for which tent?

((Infrared targeting= yes, yes they would. Most missiles these days have a pretty narrow field of view, though, because decoys are a thing.))
Well-put.

((also, how did Ashley *miss* the fighter? teleports are not really an agility thing of being faster than the fight, you literaly appear on it out of thin air.))
Ah, but you need to teleport to the right place, at the right time. So there is agility involved. Or dexterity, or something.

Look, stop stalling and define how the missiles track things already. :P
An excellent suggestion. Should accelerate the process.

it's a missile shot from a moving jet, at a moving target. you don't just aim that from the hip
Quite true.

Quote
fine have sen hit, but toward PN (who didn't choose to have sen drag him unto the paper thing, he already had summoned his own mount, and HILDA who was unconscious) it's plain unfair. Note that the Karakil had a lot better chance to dodge the missile than Sen. Why did Sen even pick up Alucard in the first place if they priorize demons as targets?
If we're willing to accept that Sen got targeted, all of that is reasonable. Would you have been arguing about this if the missile was initially aimed at the clump of folks?
It's the first bit that's unreasonable.
