Yeah, I could see that. It'd actually be a really grim place for people, because the added height would expose them to a lot more magical radiation.
Forget magical radiation, or even normal radiation. There's isolation, limited resources, and the simple knowledge that if they screw up they'll fall to their inevitable deaths.

Does anyone have any other ideas they'd like to suggest? Places, people, groups, what have you? I'd be happy to have more input. I nmight even give you impulse points for it, if I really like it.
Especially, I was considering outlining some various enclaves- The technology they use, the magical and martial styles they teach, the goals they pursue, the philosophies they follow, etc.
Well, first off, what are we talking about with the floating islands? Areas the size of Lichenstein or New Jersey floating in the air on their own? Archipelagoes of roughly-city-sized chunks of rock? What kind of flora and fauna are up there?

Also, Will's interaction will be on hold until the Vatican gets attacked and the final fighting starts.
Alright.

Dealing with the vast distances of space might not be too hard. Give it a carrier with plenty of fuel, throw in manip use for emergencies, and you're pretty good.

"Yes, it's good enough for living for some time, but I wouldn't stay in the first place we see. Who knows, maybe there is an even better place somewhere around here, or something so bad it ruins the whole neighbourhood. Any area will eventually run out of supplies like medical things and gasoline. We will need a plan B."
"All areas'll eventually run outa medicine an' gas. We can't keep scavengin' stuff like that. We'll need t'either learn to make our own...or do w'out."

"I wonder if we could start some kind of doomsday cult. Get all the crazies in the area to buy into it, give them a cool excuse to raid places, make a whole temple or something. Then nobody would mess with us. We'd be the ones messing with other people."
"...There's so many things wrong, wi' that, boy."

"Fields're good. Man cannot live by bread alone, but if you don' have bread, you're not gonna be living long regardless. Defenses...we can worry about that once we defend ourselv's against hunger."

My other idea is to eventually have a weapon that shoots special rounds that explode with the same effect of a manip overload, if that's possible...
Possible, but not cheap and probably not wise.

I'm not sure if any explosives use Uncon, mass murder manipulators and potential exploding swords disregarded. Maybe actual grenade launchers, being more ballistic weapons than regular firearms, could be using it.
Mortars?

Basically, if you want to be demoman, you have to be demigod. :P Or at least proficient in all skills. ^_^
Eh. You don't need great accuracy to kill enemies, if you've got enough power (radius/boom). Granted, you'll want that skill to avoid killing yourself...

A "Miyamoto fighter" is a short way to say "An Avatar of War, in the shape of a space fighter, equipped with a universal manip/amp, and a pilot who can use it".  I'm sure Radio remembers chopping a massive skyscraper in half- and the blade not even slowing down and traveling into the upper atmosphere?  Well, I'd imagine that would be effective against a spaceship.  Especially seeing as they're apparently longer than they are wide (See: the Sword).
Beyond that, this fighter would be incredibly tiny in comparison to a cap. Ship.  They would be shooting at it with rounds that are no larger than it.  And it's small size would justify a large cost in stealth tech, because it's still vastly cheaper than a ship.  Even if the stealth stuff doubled it's size, it would still be small and cheap.
Only real problem is finding enough pilots.  You need someone who won't be controlled by the avatar, is skilled with space magic, willing to have their legs chopped off (or is already a brain-in-a-jar?), and fine with being shot at by cap. Ships.  After all, even an Avatar will go down if it's shot by a slug the size of a bus that's heading at a significant fraction of c.
That's...actually not a bad idea.

Perfect timing there. I couldn't post the post I was halfway through making.

This mafia game is set up differently from the usual in that it's faster with less players, so power roles have a much smaller effect. For a very different kind of game, play a role-heavy one like Paranormal or one of the games that has massive rule changes.
I fail to see how larger player counts or any of that would change the fundamental nature of the game.

You found the votes, went over them, and posted this in one minute? Interesting.
Alternatively, he remembered the votes.

Also, we are at LYLO. Please be active.
LYLO? Did you miss the "Beginner's" in the title?

Hey, where's that idiot who said that lynching a townsperson wouldn't really affect the town's chance of winning?

Presumably the same way Goombess was able to "research" the location of a River Dollar on a floor that seems to have been recently randomized, or the way she was able to figure out the mechanics of Proxxy's abilities just by observing her while we Tactical Diplomacied. She could well deduce the mechanics of our own skills by studying us.
Maybe. But probably not quickly.

I don't remember it ever being mentioned...

Also, Apologies GWG I admit I did not understand what you meant for the statement I got pissed at.
Why do you think I took the time to explain it more fully?

I'd like to take the opportunity this conversation provides to ask what variety of telefrag adjudication this game will be using.

Run. When has listening to talking lizards that no one else sees ever been a bad idea?

1. Send a probe to do a flyby of one or both of the moons.
2. Send a probe to leave kerbal SoI, and head towards some other planet if you feel brave.
3. Have a probe land on whichever moon you'd prefer landing on.
4. Send a kerbal to land on it.
5. ???
6. Profit!

Also, Kerbin kethane isn't terribly useful.

The definition of an ICBM is one that can reach orbit.
The missiles look to be capable of doing that as much as real ones can...

* LordSlowpoke looks around
requesting: mobile launch device with 3+ >4 TWR missiles capable of reaching at least 120000m in a straight line up, for intercepting of craft in multiplayer
Interceptor missile. TWR for atmosphere is overstated by mechjeb, it's actually 5.3 at sea level, 10.8 at 20km, and 7.2 at 30KM. Above 30KM it flames out on a straight vertical launch. I didn't design it with any ground mobility though.

That's pretty neat.

The warhead looks a little fragile, though. Would it be able to deal any significant damage to an armored target, or would it just get crushed?
Armored target?

Well excuse me for not realizing that the relative of a Caucasian main character wasn't Caucasian when this fact is never brought up.

And how does this tie to the original issue, which was based on "your team can win even if your die"?
...How does it not tie in? I was saying that you should always help your team win, even if it leads to your death; that's because you win even if you die.
Well, there's two things. First, you're back to implicitly saying that winning is more important than, say, having fun. Second, you're failing to explain how dying could help your team.

GWG: I'd love to keep discussing this, but we're not going anywhere productive with this line of conversation. It's almost as if you're trying to stall for some reason.
Mostly because I'm trying to figure out if mafia games are ever any fun to play, or if they're always like this.
