OOC RP is essentially just that at several points characters did things out of canon that were mostly hypothetical and then it turned into a separate freeform RP.
"Guys" is often a colloquial term used to refer to a group consisting of both genders, like "ellos" or "nosotros" in Spanish. Or, really, just about any such word in any language with gender-specific words.Edited.(Who says they are only guys?)
