Einsteinian Roulette / Re: Einsteinian Roulette OOC

I have a feeling that TCM is perfectly capable of playing a realistic or serious character, but I bet she would enjoy it far less than one of his typical characters.
If I thought TCM couldn't play a serious character, would I have suggested it?

As a typically-serious player who likes playing silly characters sometimes, I imagine that the opposite would be enjoyable as well.

Either I missed something or is TCM talking about May's death?!
This isn't a Chick Tract. People survive when their characters die.

Well this has a relatively painful workabout.

Bloodshape a new Bloodshape.
Didn't we already try Bloodshaping skills, and it failed?

She ded. Welp.
Time for next character, I was thinking either a street thug who has to adjust from fighting for money-scraps in the hood to being on the forefront of a revolution, or a cute catgirl. What do y'all think?
How about playing against type?
Or you could replace your late silly character with a serious one. Or a parody of gritty, serious characters. Either one works well with the thug.

Can I design his appearance if he doesn't? Please?
Ooh! Ooh! Give the decision to the Delinquent Players Thread!

-1 to permanently spending MHP/MMP on temporary items.

this is an air battle, people need to actually position themselves to fire at a flying unit, that btw is not even 1/20th of their size, and a whole lot more agile than a huge lumbering jet. they need to watch out not to hit eachother with the guns, and not to bump into eachother either, and most importantly need to actually keep an overview over what is actually happening. their numbers are their disadvantage, as it supremely helps actually using their allies as cover.
Pretty much all of those are things that modern fighter can do, given that they attack not only other fighters but are also capable of point-defense. And if they're flying close enough that colliding with each other is a serious issue...well...the sky isn't as big as space, but it's still pretty empty, and it's not unheard of for air battles to be conducted far enough apart that neither can see the other with their actual eyes. And these guys have magitek ariatek.
And no, their numbers are not a disadvantage just because we can use them as cover and they need to not hit each other. This isn't Discworld, and we don't even look anything like planes. The ones we are using as cover can shoot us, as can the ones on the other side because this is air. Hitting each other isn't an issue unless you have a traitor. Etc etc.

As they should.
No, I mean the "this makes no sense" kind.

I never did say that did I?
If he has knowledge or access that you implied didn't exist, I will be so mad at you. Especially if it's stuff that would have been helpful.

Was it that asian girl that kept hitting on Will?
...
And here I thought that was just a bit of flavor stuff. Especially since Sanure didn't want to RP their interactions. Or define them very much.

also, don't fight them on a boat, that's a huge target moving in a predictable way. This is why I opted to attack them in the air, instead of from the ground, attacking a human sized target mid-air is hella difficult (possibly roll penalties?))
Negated by the guns being pretty good at hitting small, fast-moving targets, and also by there being ten fighters to a unit.

((5 bombers and ICARUS, Kyle...those are the guaranteed fliers. Then we have Winries technomancy which, if used more aggressively might also take out a bomber, then we may or may not have Stella because abscence, and we may or may not have HILDA, Alucard on the Karakil, Bartimaeus and Ashley. Looks doable, as long as you do something realistic, and not "well, 30 fighters attack you all at the same time, you are teh ded", and they actually stop firing according to my plan of using their own bombers as shields))
1. A large number of fighters firing at you would be realistic, since they have a hundred and change. So would death caused by a large number of fighters shooting at you.
2. You forgot Nuriel.

<Right, they don't even bother with airfoils and use either more magic or Sufficiently Advanced Technology. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with these people? They take hypocrisy to a whole new level.>
<Technically, it's not magic. They're worthy successors to those Catholics who argued that barnacle geese, beavers, and mutton dipped into then drawn out of a well all count as fish.>

Nuriel teleports to the battlefield and flies for a bomber, using her fire to mimic the thermite charges and cut into the cockpit, planning to take it over. If this works, she'll be considered a showoff; if it doesn't, she'll be considered an idiot. Either one is pretty accurate.

1134
well, what really bugs me how awefully convenient it is to use magic that runs of your stat that actually governs your magic resistance, without the need of putting points in magic, very minmaxy. I mean, even ICARUS has points in magic, just to justify the partcle cannon doing magic damage without being minmaxy
The whole Order is bugging me a bit.

((Oh and Will is currently at the Vatican. He ranked enough to be considered skilled. He currently is about to be assigned to a squad.))
But not enough to have any special access to information or whatever? Phooey.

Production: Farms, Colony Center (+1 Food, +2 Wealth)
Trade: Sell 2 Food (+2 Wealth), buy a Basic Goods and a Machines, contract for...oh...Machines.

Is anyone else interested in sending in a Build action?

((Bear bottles should be on the random thing. I don't care if it's a bottle made of bear or a bear in a bottle or what, it must be present please.))

Also, Team G is composed of four components, Marcius was one of them but he was a zombie char...
Should we locate and shoot what's left of his corpse? Rule #2, you know.

@ PW: What are the chances of Renen being found?
Also, Team G is composed of four components, Marcius was one of them but he was a zombie char...
Depends. I'd say Hephaestus is gonna have a pretty big ship graveyard/debris field around it after this. There's a tracker in your brain, same with everyone else, but a team is still gonna need to actually get out there and find it.
Well, unless the ships are on the WH40k scale, or ideally Death Stars, the debris field would be pretty puny.
As for the tracker...well...if you can keep figuring out the direction and ideally distance even from the spacecraft, it shouldn't be that hard. Just orbital rendezvous, which I sure hope Steve is better at than I am.

...since I'm a brit I'll go with the Last Post rather than taps.
No offense, but that does sound a lot like Taps, if more cheerful. Guess the Pond isn't so big after all.

Quote
(Interesting piece of trivia is that the Last Post was not originally associated with military funerals: the last action of the day at british army camps was an inspection of the sentry posts and once the last post was inspected the call was played to signify the end of day, later apparent;y it would also be used to signify the end of a day's fighting and call soldiers back from the battlefield, so with the connotations of the end of the day, going down of the sun. the close of fighting and duty discharged I guess it was a logical step to start using it at funerals as well
I think Taps has a similar history. Don't quote me on that, though.

In my albeit limited experience, anything that gives you manoeuvring capability beyond simple pitch, yaw, and roll control at any decent rate will be powerful enough to make at least 1 or 2 significant changes to your orbit. You just have to use it right, and be patient.
Assuming that it uses reaction control thrusters and not reaction wheels.

((I haven't updated my notes, but when I do, I have the feeling that some of you may find themselves with negative bear bottles.))
Man, that's a trippy concept. Well, unless you just assume it's a beer bottle made out of antimatter. (Or a bottle made out of antimaterial beer.)

1139
What if we just try eating little cookies like they hand out at Red Cross blood drives and see if that restores our blood?
Not a bad idea, but since Bloodshaping costs MHP and MSP, that would mean the cookies are granting additional maximum HP/SP. Sadly, not likely.
(Also, the juice helps replenish the blood more than the cookies.)
