(example, sure you can find a Gyarados on open sea. However, finding a Sandshrew here is impossible)
Wanna bet?

I wanna test a combat system Idea I've considered.

I need two people. First two to make a character (Standard perplexicon part 2 rules) get it.
Oh come on. RIGHT after I went...wait, there's another spot?

((Same here. I'd share with you two if I weren't saving up for that decomp.))
((Memo to noobs: It's well worth a few tokens to give the experienced people with space magic decompensators.))

((anyone know how to use the tables function when posting? i wanna have two columns so i can cross reference piecewise' loot records with my own.))
((It's a bit clumsy. How I miss GitP's tables, with their simplicity and legibility. Different colors for different cells, and you separated cells with vertical lines, and rows with little tags at each end of a line. Or did you just need a line break? Anyways, I also miss their nested spoilers.))

learn the secrets of life and death.
Wonder how people find these dead games. Also why.

“Der Herr ist mein Hirte, mir wird nichts mangeln. Er weidet mich auf einer grünen Aue und führet mich zum frischen Wasser. Er erquicket meine Seele. Er führet mich auf rechter Straße um seines Namens willen. Und ob ich schon wanderte im finstern Tal, fürchte ich kein Unglück; denn du bist bei mir, dein Stecken und Stab trösten mich!”

Use Force magic to strengthen my staff and increase the force of its blows. Strike the demon with it, then flee some more.

((Alright, what speech color should I choose? We've got a yellow-orange, a red-brown, and default. Alright, blue works.))

Amusing, isn't it? I discover the supernatural because of the spirits of the dead, and my first real foray into the supernatural involves convincing someone they don't exist.
...Not being made easier by the fact that there probably
is one...

"Don't worry, Mr. and Mrs. Sallwort. I can't see how there would be something to worry about. Now, Oscar, Jennifer, watch this..."

Perform some simple magic tricks to amuse the children and--hopefully--take the minds of the adults off of all that's been happening.

Just so you know, if this mission goes south, the priest will probably lose ALL of his Faith. Oh and Imp? If the worst occurs, it will most likely break your character.
That's always a good thing to hear.

First post is up. Tread carefully guys: if you screw this up it's gonna be bad.
Are you reminding us of what you said earlier or do you mean this specific part of the mission?

Also a bit cliche and off-putting.

Why not just a human, with a little extra? Maybe violet skin, or an enlarged forehead, or both, plus perfect symmetry?

That's some very specific destruction there. I dearly hope this will end up with us destroying the sun.
I hope not. Then the game will be over. Once the sun's gone, we've probably got eight, nine minutes before we get hit with the debris, and even if not there's only so long before the world freezes and starves. Either way, our work here is done.

Also, it's the first turn and the police are already after us.  Bravo.  Once we're done here, I say we use our powers to destroy all evidence of us being responsible.
How? Kill everyone that saw us here?

"When they were preparing me for the rites of slaughter, they warned that good aligned summons would likely refuse to heal or buff me, and may not think twice about making me collateral damage of an area of effect attack, but that they likely wouldn't go out of their way to hurt me unless I started making level-up choices to exploit my undead state or ended up going full on Disney Villain evil!"
"Good" is kind of a jerk, isn't it?
Well, given our luck, this would probably have been how we discovered that healing spells hurt the undead.

...Eh. A bit corny, in my opinion. Also I'm pretty sure you're a bit big, he's a bit small, and genies are a bit absent for that plan.

"You were a little kid. You were smart enough to skip ahead a grade."
"That's a lot of it, but not much. Did I ever tell you about the time I got lost at the Museum of Natural History?"
"I was there. Remember? I suggested just burning through the walls."
"Isn't there the ICOOC thread for this stuff?"))
