Devise several diseases which affects the mortal races. They are weak in itself, but its effect will accumulate so much that an older organism will have lower rate of survival. Make sure that the mortal races do not see this as a disease, but only the proper effect of aging.

So basically if you die a dishonorable death, you are penalized for it.That's the idea.
However, if you die in a fair match against someone else, or a boss, or something like that, you are not penalized, but then again, your opponent may be getting stronger.
Also, how about a wait time after dying? Like 1 or 2 turns before respawn.Either way. I'm apathetic.
This sounds like a good idea. If someone shoots you with a rocket launcher or uses power word kill, no problem. If you shoot a rocket launcher at the invulnerable golem right next to you or jump of a cliff, you get a Darwin Point. Three DP and you lose a stat point, ten and you lose a skill. You can only be made weaker by your own actions.Hm. Well, I feel the need for penalties in some way, to discourage resets, like you guys mentioned. Maybe it'd be better as 5 and 10. Or maybe even 10 and 20. However, since I don't expect people to die TOO often, I think it'd be better fit as a lower number, seeing as the poll is also saying that boss fights will be either 5 or 10 turns after the start of a round/this round. And after a boss fight, everyone gets a little bonus thingy/full heal, as long as they didn't just hide....Couldn't you just only penalize people for suicides and incredibly stupid deaths?
