((Sliver. I'm starting to regret giving them such similar names...))

"Fine, I guess."

1.) Make rune
2.) Inscribe rune onto something
3.) Charge rune
4.) Have fun
;)
Hm. Let's push the envelope...

0. Find a marker, or paintbrush and paint, or something.
1. Make interlocked runes of...let's say fire and control.
2. Draw (inscribe, whatever) the rune onto our palm.
3. Charge rune.
4. Test rune.
5. ???
6. Profit!

Ninja by...update, I guess.

If we can't do the above:
Option That is Only Unlocked After You Beat the Final Boss. Sounds like a neat show.

((CADO, GET ON IRC! I HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU~))
((What? And why can't you show us?))

Nuriel drags the crocodiles to Angel correctly this time. She is, indeed, meeting with her parents, who are trying to get their heads around the fact that Angel is the "parent" to not one but two people (counting Alan).

"Angel! I was--Oh, are these your parents?"
"..."
"..."
"Yes. Um, we're in the middle of something right now..."
"I'll try to make this quick. I was wondering if you could enchant a couple things for me? Something to keep these crocodiles from spoiling, and maybe something that lets me change size or something?"
"Does it have to be now?"
Nuriel gets an idea. She hugs Angel and turns into Angel.
"...She's not going to give up, is she?"
"No. Also, she can hear that if I can."
<Damn straight.>
TAngel sighs. "Alright."
Nuriel takes over and hugs Angel. "Thank you!"
Angel tries to apologize to her parents before being dragged out by Nuriel.

"...Um."
"Not exactly uncommon, around here."
"Another Angel."
"From a different universe. Long story, kinda dull."

Another mini melee guy! Gal, whatever.

12815
Hold the one blade with an impaled gremlin on it up high so it can't attack anyone. Stab another of the gremlins with the other.

"The Korea thing seem like the place to go, but the Izu scouts worries me."
"時間がある。スカウトは即時の問題ではありません。韓国のエネルギーボールがある。"

((I'll try to guess what you mean.))

"Hi, Selina. Hi, Elena. Good morning."

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Re: Helghan: From the Ashes
« on: November 27, 2013, 01:20:51 am »
Alex Lander the Tenth looked at a map of Helghan, more a way to center his thoughts than anything. The problems gripping the planet could not be described in such a way; they were too complex, too far-reaching, too interlinking, too abstract. He could be looking at the graphs on his computer, watching as the stock indices and other indicators of the state of the world ticked steadily down or enjoyed a brief rise.

He didn't need to. He knew what was happening without the facts and figures. Helghan was dying--no, that implied passivity, a certain lack of blame to be placed. Halghan was being strangled, simultaneously giving more and getting less, a process that any toddler could tell you was unhealthy for the Helghanian economy. It was a disaster going down incredibly fast; Helghan was never the most prosperous world, but it was barely a month since the new changes were implemented and already there were bread line riots.
More annoying were the stockholders, complaining that Lander was losing money. This, combined with the fact that money really does make things possible, made fixing this problem annoyingly important.
"Damn money, the little bits of paper or data. Meaningless, worthless, until we decide that it's worth fighting, killing, dying over. Worth getting in the way of what matters, worth selling your soul, worth everything and anything. We make ourselves slaves to this id--"
"Sir? Smit's here again. He wants to talk about buying that little farming corp in the southern plains."
"Ugh. And I was in the middle of a train of thought...Send him in, let's see if we can wrap this up."

Buy 2 1 Economic Infrastructure.

The deal made, the profit increased, the margin closed. Money changed hands, to make more money for one and faster money for the other. Numbers switching hands, to the benefit of a handful. A waste of time, of potential. But it had to be done, to generate potential potential for future change. Change that Lander could not make alone, neither the man nor the corporation.
He stares at the map, considering the other major potential forces in this revolution everyone knows is on the horizon.
"Rouge--la flamme de la colère;
Noir--la nuit de l'ignorance;
Rouge--un monde sur le point d'être né;
Noir--la mort de l'espoir.

"War is coming, like it or no. The longer it is delayed the worse it will be, and it won't be good as it is.

"Military. We've got the Free Militia and Ketari Arms, along with the First Fleet and Vraxus for the ships, with some assorted minor factions that might be persuaded to the cause. The People's Party...not much popular support, but they've got potential. Too bad their shady past sets a terrible precedent. All these five, well-known around here for their support, silent or otherwise, for the revolution. What part could Lander play? Supplier, most importantly. Perhaps another people's man, of sorts, more moderate than the Party. Sensible, no? Perhaps I'd also draw the support of the upper class. Heh. Well, even in a People's Revolution, the bourgeois support is helpful--perhaps required, even. Power is power, but not all power is equal. The mob can only do so much, after all, and money, that ethereal construct, opens so many doors."

Surely. While we sent a team as per custom to capture and interrogate some of the creatures, they spoke only gibberish, and our team was unable to successfully capture and retrieve one. We are continuing to look into the matter at this time. As for the creature, it was a hellspawn, rather than a demon, and it was reported to be a manner of skeletal creature we believe to be a Bone Devil. The occurrences are rather numerous to mention. I suggest if you really want to comprehend the nature of the phenomena, you should have a look around during one of the Furywinds, as the Karrians call them. I find the best way to understand something is to experience it firsthand.
"And you were unable to locate a single individual capable of speaking Infernal?"

"Er... Th-this is my world..." TA!Selina waves at her.

MG!Selina is really confused by how easily Nuriel is getting confused...

((Ugh. Couldn't you give your Selinas catchy nicknames and include them or something?))

Isaac walks by Nuriel.
"Actually... I could use the skins."
"Oh...You're that god's kid, aren't you? Here, take 'em. Tell the big guy upstairs that he's an idiot. Wait, gods work differently here, don't they."

Continue advancing Alien Biochemistry, partly because awesome, partly because that's the logical way to develop a version of the venom that is more thermally stable.
This isn't on the list.  We probably need some more corpses for that.
Oh. Darn.
In that case:

Research that.

P.S:
Weren't bows not invented until well after we figured out living in non-cave things? Like, when we were primitive tribesmen and not cavemen?

It's been a while since I even looked at an Only War rulebook (pdf), and I'm short on time. Remind me, what could I spend XP on?

Do you need the rulebooks?
No, I have a copy. I just need to know where to look to find the stuff to spend XP on.
That, and time.

Ask if it causes the elves any pain to be killed, and then resurrected. If it does, apologize in advance.
+1
A reputation for being civilized, especially a deserved one, will do us wonders. Plus, the looks on their faces will be priceless...

Why not make it really alien?
Seas of molten lead, creatures made of obsidian. Plants of delicate ironwork that grow from silicon seeds.
Make it unique.
None of that makes any sense or fits together in any way!
It doesn't have to. We're God(s). Conventional biology is so dull. Lets make something... new.
