"No, no! There are other ways we can work this out!"

13562
Nikki stares at her.
"...Geez. I really wish I knew what to say to help. Um. Coming back to the Academy every few days to get bitten would help, but it probably wouldn't be practical, and it doesn't really solve the problem so much as sort of giving in. Um...yeah. People have been trying to find a cure for centuries, but nothing's come of it."

13563
"But... Wh-wh-when we're a-a-away... I tr-try to t-t-take care of... of her... H-h-h-how c-can I d-d-do that if... if i'm g-going to..." Selina looks ready to cry.
Nikki shrugs.
"It's not a good situation."

Yes, after the round, you can buy perks and equipment.
Assuming you survive.

Crouch behind cover. Shoot Person!

GWG, does your character actually use magic? You mention mediocre talents, but I'm not sure how mediocre they are.
He's no mystical master, but yes.

Yes, it does. Steel is still 90-odd percent iron, after all. Hell if you're unlucky blood can set it off! So it's not because of iron's magnetic properties.
...Blood screws with magic...Blood...how have all the mages not kasploded?
I'm guessing this is more because there are trace amounts of iron in blood.
Although I thought that Iron in nutrition was different then the metal.
Could be totally wrong bout that though.
Nope, same element. In fact, if we stripped away the hemoglobin, you'd be left with a molecule very similar to rust.

Really though, one of us is being a creationist here, so this will be my last comment on the matter.
You had better explain yourself, because that sounds like a completely-out-of-the-blue and extremely insulting insult aimed at me.

Sell to Coby Tighe.
(By my calculations, I should have the sale in one turn. Go Angel!)

Only Unskilled guys are left. And some convicts, in future rounds.

In my personal opinion, that looks like "MinMax, the Race", but that's just me.

I'd say it'd be at least a +1 LA.
Definitely. Possibly +2.

Heavy? Understatement of the year Remuthra, they need an UNGODLY amount to do so.
Not if the casters aren't trying to optimize!

(no burning of babies in public was amongst the conditions, for example).
...That is one of those things that you never expect people to explicitly forbid even though it's obviously forbidden.

Wouldn't Riltia just end up in the passive party? We could also shift somebody else there.
Yup. Possibly Goom-Bess.

Considering the Hellyfish is blocking the door that we need for a Dragon Bypass, the only real option is shafting... unless we really wanted to try breaking through a wall.
Killing the dragon is an option.
Hmm. I just thought of something. Assuming the dragon's lasers require SP, and it'll fire at us from a different room, couldn't we drain its SP by repeatedly dodging in front of the door (healing whenever we got hit); then, once it runs out of SP, we could poke it to death with ranged attacks. The plan requires a few things:
0. We can restore our SP somewhere. This may or may not be necessary, depending on how often the dragon hits us.
1. The dragon can't kill us in one hit. FFS really isn't this cruel, so we can probably move on. Let's just stick with the bulkiest party member for the baiting, though.
2. The dragon will be dumb enough to fall for it, must attack us whenever possible, or whatever.
3. The dragon's lasers require SP.
Of course, I don't think we have somewhere to restore our SP. But it might still work, and I think we should think twice before going somewhere potentially more dangerous than here.
That is a disturbing numbers of "ifs," one of which requires that ffs is merciful, one of which requires that the spirit is dumb, and one of which relies on something we haven't found.

<Isn't that basically suicide?>

13572
"...I'll never g-g-get better... will I...?"
"Not fully."

And Darnos shows up conveniently.

6 weeks of withdrawal, worst thing you'll ever experience ever, then it lessens. Just don't hug your Angel or touch her and you'll be fine.
"Try to avoid looking at her, too, if you go that route. Yeah...there's probably a better way."

13573
"Um. Slow down. Okay, okay, it won't be that bad. You'll feel really bad for a while, but it gets better after a month as long as you avoid spending much time with...oh, right, you have an Angel too, that would be difficult. Um."

13574

I'd protest, but I guess Cherish is slightly more despicable than Proxxy, Riltia, or Goom-Bess. And, really, Ciro doesn't know much about other people she's encountered.

Descend the shaft.
The next level won't be antimagic, unless freeform really wants to screw with us. We'll be able to heal, and then bloodshape a pair of wings or something when we need to get back up, if we don't find the stairs.

"I'm not sure. I never got addicted, I don't think. And Nikki was always there."

And suddenly Nikki is there.
"Talking about me?"
