How is "Set things back 1 year" in violation of the "no gods" rule? How is letting someone sacrifice themselves to me in violation of it? If you were going to deny it anyways, why did you roll the dice--just to rub our face in the fact that you could make the exact opposite of what the dice say happen?

Hurrah! My plan would work!

...And I don't even need to improvise a moss-rather-than-cloth torch!

Improvise and light a torch, after finding a stick, a rag/moss, an animal for its fat (also keep the meat, hide, and other useful bits--waste not want not!) and a couple pieces of flint or somesuch to light it. Make a few such torches if possible/practical. Also keep an eye out for other useful stuff. Or Gnar.

By the way, that's my "cheap tricks" team. Which Pokemon do you think have the least effective tricks, and what more effective cheap tricks have you seen?

Alright, to deal with this Plagueskipper thing I will need to be able to see. To do that, I will need some light source, perhaps a torch. To make a torch, I need a stick, a rag or similar flammable sheet thingy, and some kind of oil. The oil could probably be made from animal fat.

What do I have right now?

Point 3 was correcting a fundamental misunderstanding. Nerjin was sacrificing himself to me, for reasons I'm a bit confused and considering being flattered about, not acrificing me to...something.

And as for the others: Minimalist RtDs are expected to obey the dice above essentially all else, which is why they are called minimalist. If you go not only by something other than what the dice say, but do the exact opposite...
