I really should give you a quick check, make sure that you're not going to get worse if you move about and deal with whatever monsters or whatever are in this cave, that there aren't worse injuries you aren't noticing."
Attempt to diagnose them if they stand still.

If they insist, let them be and follow the group, trying to keep an eye out for symptoms of worse or internal injury.
