Einsteinian Roulette / Re: Einsteinian Roulette OOC

Indeed. There's a reason he often plays omnicidal people.

"Barbaric. Not even the exciting kind of barbaric."

@GWG: A weapon need not be sharp, specially when its usage was for defense instead of offense. Its still a metal spike regardless of whether its blunted, enough force will break bones and kill or incapacitate if placed right. Which does play well into the idea that it was a weapon used by domestic police, probably paired with a more apt weapon in the main hand. 'Course, that doesn't exclude it from originally being a farming implement, which is a good, if speculated, possibility after looking around a bit.
My point was quite the opposite--not that it couldn't be a weapon, but that it could have been not a weapon.
...Okay, it's kinda the opposite.

Attempts to deal with rampant unhappiness from 22/59 of my population being the newly-annexed English (I missed a 4-pop tisle city) have been...slow. I also had some uprisings. First a couple pikemen, adjacent to my capital. They pillaged some hunting camps (unusual activity for rebels...I'd expect them to beseige the capital), before being killed by the defenses of Copenhagen and Aarhus, the largest cities in the known world. A few turns later, three longswordsmen showed up (despite me never having made any, eh). I was dealing with them; it took a bit of effort, the sacrifice of my berserker stationed in Copenhagen, and time, but they were just about dealt with when two horsemen (another unit I've never built, and indeed that I've been delaying learning how to build because I didn't have any horses before I took over England) appeared about as far as they could be from a city while still being on the right island. I've been working on a bit of a militarylet to deal with them...but it'll be a while.
Fun fact: Remember the pikemen? The second was taken out by two barrages from Copenhagen, with a Polynesian trieme performing drive-by bombardment to help. Despite scales being wonky. (One of the big things that bugs me about Civ V's ranged combat, although it really is needed to take cities these days...)

((Alistair has had one since atleast after the SA crossover. He's USED it for crying out loud.))
((:P))
Alistair remembers he has the bracelet. It's sitting somewhere at the bottom of his drawer.
He slips it on!
<Alistair?>

Will decided to work with arias.
What next?

Also, Angel's still trying to contact Alistair. Wasn't Elf supposed to be on, like, 12-13 hours ago?

Except that we can re-absorb it if we don't like it. We have nothing to lose here except a bit of time.
Assuming that it, you know, works.
And "a bit of time" isn't nothing. Especially given how scarce updates are. And how little people want to resorb anything.

Bet your genitals!  They don't contribute anything to the team!
But they are super valuable! It's perfect!
Looking at the contestants, it might be better if they are removed from the genepool, one way or another.
+1

((Except the audience!  Especially the next two members of the waitlist.))
((Well, the players of the next two members of the waitlist.))

Doing a survey of the Danish Empire. Specifically, I'm trying to figure out the percentage of Norse to Anglo citizens.
First, I need to guess what the population numbers mean. It;s pretty obvious just glancing around that they aren't logarithmic. My largest city and capital, Copenhagen, has a population score of 18; Nottingham has a population of 1. (Not surprising--it's on a one-tile isle. A tisle?) If we assume that it's a straight base-ten logarithmic scale, and that Nottingham is just the sheriff yelling at us Vikings to get off his lawn, Copenhagen would need to have...well...1018 people. Wolfram Alpha doesn't seem to help much with interpreting raw numbers. It does, however, tell us that they would weigh around 5.3% the mass of Earth's oceans. Even if we assume it's a base-two logarithm and that Nottingham's sheriff is still alone, that's a more reasonable population for Copenhagen of a bit under 300,000. Provide a more reasonable estimate of population for Nottingham Tisle, though, and Copenhagen quickly spirals into being larger than most cities around today. So...let's assume that it's linear.

Aside from Copenhagen's 18, I have three native Danish cities of 12, 5, and 3 population. The English cities I got had populations of 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, and Nottingham's 1. That means there are 37 Norse population units and 18 Anglo. In other words, I have about one-third of my population, as well as well over half my land, English. (P.S. London, probably the only city the Queen kept, had 11 Population. I took about two-thirds of her population.)

((doesn't Will have 0 mag?))
It was mentioned way back when that arias use Mind.

I wonder if it's insta-death if Ciro bloodshape herself?
Full-Sized? Yes.

But I would like to see what would happen if we tried to bloodshape a mini Ciro. Or a mini Al...!

Quick! We must blood ship little Al so that he can perform a combo attack with it! It's Blood Al, so he's more liable to like it!
-1 to all the above.

If we wanna get technical, having 0/0 HP still means we have full health.
We don't get killed from having a certain percentage of HP, we get killed from having 0 HP.
And 0/0 HP...well...
0/0=x
0*x=0
Anything times zero is zero. Therefore, we can equally well be argued to have 100% health as -9025% health.

if we bloodshape ourselves into negative mhp, can we heal ourselves to max hp and become undead
then we just bloodshape harder to get ourselves -50hp or so so we can't be remurderized with a single potion
Again, we die at 0 HP. You think that ffs is going to implement a more complex mechanic that allows us to make ourselves OP, and also stops us from screwing ourselves over?

Both of you do that.

Maaan, out totes-future-bells and whistles-HUD suuuuuucks.
It was designed in the 90's, give them a break.
Not the 2090's either. Guess they shouldn't have given the UI work to the lowest bidder.

This unit suggests scouting west.
