Move two spaces southeast and one east. Aim and fire if possible.

Angelica stuck around the alchemist's hut a little bit, helping a bit and asking about all the herbs and concoctions. Soon, though, she glanced back at Sir Mordred. She finished up what she was helping with and went to him.

"So, um, what should we do next, s-sir?"
Without a beat, Mordred said "We lay a trap for the beast."

Go see the hunters
"Um, okay."
Follow.

well, the problem is radiation damage is comparable to a nanoparticle shotgun. even after you've got the radiation out of your body, you've still got millions of tiny holes left in your cells and your DNA that compound upon each other as millions of tiny bits and pieces of your vital organs fail at roughly the same time.

radiation is some nasty stuff.
Well-said.

um, Magic and tech(space magic) do not mix in this setting. attempts to force the issue often have... impressive... results.
Out of curiosity, how does that work? If you had, say, a self-heating cauldron and installed it instead of a coal-powered boiler in some steampunk machine, what would happen? What about if you had the cauldron a hundred feet away, and transferred the heat via water-filled pipes or something? What, exactly, causes this malignant interaction?

Einsteinian Roulette / Re: Einsteinian Roulette Mission 11: He is the One!

((Holy shit I just read Piecewise's blog thing that's in his sig and gotta say, that was the funniest thing ever.))
((I'll check it out sometime.))

Steven feels himself distort a little...he feels out of proportion to himself.
Taking a moment to understand, he realizes that he's getting a lot bigger with the water.

GreatWyrmGold is suspecting that attempting to RP with a true NPC was a bad idea, given the complete absence of the GM.

((She is made of solid cringe.))
((Ashley or Conny?))

<What makes you think that literature can spawn whole new worlds, each with its own literature?>
<Yeah, most of your books are kinda one-dimensional.>
Will hears this, then passes out.

"my arm is distorting slightly, i may be able to maintain its form while it remains underwater, but if i were to remove it...

((I accept that i dont rate anywhere near either of them and that Siberian could probably kill Naga if she knew where its core was but capes like Alexandria couldnt fight her, they are still 80% water.))
((Alexandria punched Behemoth. Repeatedly. Like Xantalos said.))
"Would you mind trying going all the way into the water? Quickly?"
(Hint hint.)

"My name is Delphinium.  I'm sorry but no, I don't know where she is going to make land, but I can probably get someone to tell me," she brought out her phone preparing a mass text for the senior protectorate members.  [I have a minor power granting trump in the medical bay wondering where the most likely impact sites are, and where he could be most useful, please advise.]
A minute and a half or so later, you get a reply.

Noted. Do you know the limits of this trump? Is he on file?

If Matthew can see Naga He runs towards it, otherwise he presumably bumps into someone running and screaming and stuff and finds out, then he runs towards it
Naga has not arrived yet. If Matthew wants to be a hero, he can slap on some kind of mask and join the group of capes at the PRT headquarters preparing to fight Naga or relocate to wherever it is actually attacking.

Washington, DC is much farther south. The state of Washington is on the opposite coast.

I solemnly swear that I didn't look at any other maps or reference materials when doing these. I've just always been a geography buff.
Spoiler: AMURRICA. (click to show/hide)
Here in America, we call them North and South Carolina. (And we don't hyphenate Mississippi.))

1. Greenland's fjords, aka the only parts the Norse ever went to, are actually very much green. And Iceland does have a good amount of ice.
2. You marked the California region as "Future South Canada". I don't think they'd take it.

Easy peasy, since I've been there and traveled through all of it but WA and Tasmania.
Also, its territories are small enough in number and geographic enough in name that someone unaware of Australia's existence could get half of them right. Most people are going to know about Tasmania, so that only leaves a few more to mess up.

So there's been an image of a map of the US with states labelled by an Australian with very limited geographical knowledge doing the rounds on the 'Net recently...
I'd like to see that. Do you have a link or something?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
That's horrible. There are like five states labeled Virginia and not one of them is actually Virginia or West Virginia.
Also, they weren't drunk, they were following rivers. I suppose the Aussie didn't see many of those, but they're important in the Midwest. Especially a couple centuries ago.
...And "Oz"?

Spoiler: The USA (click to show/hide)
Good. Although you left out the major industries and such of a lot of states. On a more serious note, Puerto Rico is part of the US (a commonwealth if I recall), and if 50 wasn't such a nice round number it would probably be a state. Maybe when we get nine more, Puerto Rico.

Iceland also has volcanoes.

I feel that I should mention that the accident that gave you the powers, which have yet to manifest, happened yesterday in game time.
That would be useful to note, yes.

GWG, based on the description of what happened to Angel, she wouldn't ever get out of a government facility.  I can guarantee that at least one person would take a video of that and upload it to some video sharing site.  At very least, incessant complaints of feeling something wrong with her body.  Also, I would prefer no randomized powers, that has way too much potential to be abused.  I don't care how many weaknesses you pile on, that has far too much potential to be abused.  I do not care what promises are made, I very scarcely make exceptions, because I find having there be exceptions for certain players that exempt them from certain rules unfair to the other players.
Alright, noted. Although I hadn't imagined it being that...obvious that something had happened. More of an "Oh, good, she's actually alive" thing from the outside. And the random bit was actually supposed to be a balancing factor, ironically enough.

And now to think of a new character.

"Depends. Most folks, they let out to shower every so often. Some get to go to the exercise yard if they're non-dangerous enough. Me? Showers every night, plus three chances to discuss prison policy with a few armed guards with a meal and orders to ignore me."

"Aren't I supposed to be called Kinetics now? But oh well, I might as well see how this goes." She sounded eager.
"Good catch, my mistake."

((I like seeing the paralells between this universe and the wormverse. Chicago team leader, I'm looking at you...  ;)

I like what you've done with the endbringers, though. Is there/will there be an equivalent to the nine?))
((Oh? And um, which is that, Myrrdin?
Closest is the Family. No clue if they'll show up after Naga. Or what comes next, actually. I haven't planned past that. But my plans for that...))

"And the fact that i am one of the few capes in the world capable of physically touching Naga is of no strategic importance?"

Asks steven as he slides one arm into the water, focusing intently on the task at hand he slides his ethereal arm out into the water and tries to maintain its form.

((Yeah damage control isnt gonna cut it, when i said i wanted to fight an endbringer... i meant i wanted to fight an endbringer.))
((Let's see how this goes. And anyways, what Slither said was true. Basically, the Alexandrias and Siberians of this world are what would be directly fighting the Terrors, except for some "roadblocks".))
So he does. He feels the arm distort some.
"...I am not quite sure what's going on. Is this good? Do you want to continue?"

"Hm...let's see..."
(derm, mind informing me of anything Tabitha made that might fit the bill?)
((Not particularly. We've established that making the publicly usable regeneration serum took up about 95% of her time. If you can inject a quantity of it into the bone maybe it'll fix breaks faster but I haven't really made anything specifically for hardiness yet.))
(Thought so.)
"Sorry Selina, nothing here. Those splints are your best bet."

Quote
Does Tabitha see signs of a concussion?
A minor one, yes. Probably not worrying about until after preparations for Naga are done.
