I'll be sure to incorporate some of those ideas into my ARMor project!

And since y'all encouraged me to buy XCOM (a waste of money until such time as I can get around the graphic issues on the Alien Base mission *grumble grumble*), I might as well share a video I found that makes me want to buy a related video game.

How amusing a fictional character is has no impact on how much we want people imitating them.

Something for ICARUS & co to read. Actually, all of that comic would be a good read for her. Except maybe the Pintsize shenanigans.

"That's what I need to find out. But with almost no records of Sen or this 'Senkhet' she calls herself....I have nowhere to start."
"Hello there."

I admit that is a little creepy, did kyle get anywhere near REY?
"HK was almost as smart as Kyle. So it's up in the air."

"Nonsense, you just programmed him to simulate being upset upon being given such a stimulus."
"The only difference between that and my reaction to you putting down a probably-sentient AI is that his was more or less deliberately programmed in, as opposed to mine which was a result of countless millennia of evolution."

"There is a difference between registering a stimulus as negative and actually feeling sad. It's not thought, it's pre-decided."
Will moves his hand.
"My hand moved before my brain told me why I wanted to. Even if that wasn't a scientifically-proven fact, it still stands that I would have done so under these circumstances. Why is REI's free will less real than mine?"

Just because they look cute and cuddly doesn't mean they are. Still plenty of room for carnage and stuff. The plants alone...

It does make them more peaceful than real-world forests, though.

Spoiler: Cards (click to show/hide)

Hm. He's probably got something planned...if he could deal with my Malicious Fiend with what he's got, he would have done so last turn, but he hasn't. He's probably hoping to get something next turn or something...or maybe he's planning for me to attack? I've no intent of falling into his trap.

"I'll just set a card and end my turn."

...[Wolf] imbued the[ dragons] with a desire for peace and tranquility, as their lives had been in the old forests.
Spoken like someone truly ignorant of nature.
I don't mean to be cynical, but the "old forests" are full of non-tranquil stuff.

Head to Storage.

Store some stuff, including:
DL3 Boss Key
Headband
Vial
Fusion Scroll
That ice spell Goom-Bess has
That flower Slog has
Other stuff people decide we won't need

Transfer Stream Rubies and perhaps Polar Eye to people in Active Party.

Leave Slog and Goom-Bess behind to do stuff while the other three go help "Ghost-Face".

It would also screw with versatility. You know how Miyamoto and battlesuit users can go on all sorts of missions? Neither do I, because anything indoor or involving the tight corridors of ships or whatever is out.

Can't wait for the debriefing.
“Team A, you blew up a city block and then damaged half the city and the spaceport during the police chase that followed. Team B, you melted a large part of the ice cap and now there's a proto-altered with an amp loose on the planet. I really don't know what to say about this except..."
"...kudos to Team C for not screwing up the most delicate of the missions."

here's something special about Stacy - after all, not just any old shmuck can overpower 30 willpower.
Perhaps that you weren't trying to mulch Stacy's mind out of existence?

Otherwise we'd have to round all the sharp corners on the ship and make sure everyone wears a bike helmet at all times.
Actually, that's not such a bad idea.

[Upgrading Mk I:] It would really just take Simus and the AM's permission. We could to trade in services, trade in the old for the new, though keep in mind that you're probably gonna end up mass manufacturing these things for a while to build up a stock of them for the ship.
[Starter's Package:] Sure, though they might cost money, depending on how good they were. But if you just wanted to create like a basic "Welcome aboard" package that everyone could get exactly one of in their entire time here, then that would work.
That sounds...easier than anticipated.
What kind of things would the AM probably want in things designed to be in a Newbie Package? Obviously, not being highly destructive is important, and I shouldn't expect her to give out high- or even mid-tier gear for free, but aside from that, what guidelines would I follow?

Depends on how many you wanna make, really. If you're good with just having one, you only need one tube. If you want 100, you need 100 tubes. Or 50 and twice the time. OR 25 and four times the time, etc.
How many tubes, total, do we have? One tube is a pretty major cost for a test subject if we only have a dozen, but a hundred is minuscule if we have millions.

On top of the exoskeleton or on top of the MK I? Because one is gonna look like an ambulatory tent.
Outside both, as an external layer. Well, except maybe the heat fin things; seems like those would cause more problems than they'd solve by being covered.
Yes, it'll look silly, but with the protection a Civic Defender's Longcoat provides plus the toughness of a sub-exosuit should provide enough overall protection to outweigh that.
Thanks to Syv's reminder, I'm also going to stick a small generator in each of the two suits. Also see if I can't remove the heat-radiating fins entirely, replacing them with something less vulnerable and silly.

How much would the combined things I designed cost, in tokens and in material costs (compared to Mk I suits)? Are there, by chance, any secondary features I could cut out to reduce costs?

So, Pyro. Note what piecewise said about upgrades and newbie packs. What kinds of things would you/Simus require about them?

Hey, I posted an action.
In that case...

Do this.
Anyways...who's this guy I have...one Coel mab Urien?
Loot shield, knife.
Locate isolated, fairly clean area. Place patient there.

"Karkat, could you make sure he doesn't, you know, leave?"
Karkat: Guard the patient.
Harold: Locate table. Take table back to operating area. Prepare operating area, scavenging additional supplies as needed.

"Now...what to do, what to do?"

And my weapons are a bunch of guns, a missile, and a nonlethal deterrence system. Not much to look up (except maybe "seismic missile").
