I just had a random, terrible thought.
What if this game ends with someone just waking up, making this one big ass dream?
This is piecewise's biggest game ever, and that's really saying something given the number of awesome games he's started and/or run. He wouldn't screw with our trust and expectations just for a cheap, horribly-cliche, cliche'd-ly horrible laugh.

On a unrelated note, I saw the movie "Noah" today.  I'd recommend it. It's interesting because they adapt biblical mythology almost as though it weren't religious. As though they were just adapting some fiction without any particular meaning. So you get to see some of the neat and fucked up shit from the bible. Like Methuselah killing an army of Caininites with a flaming sword.

Interesting. This is the only review that hasn't criticized it. And it sounds like it did the adaptation in the only way that would have made it worth watching, which is better than I expected.
I still think they should have gone for a lesser-known story. Maybe Elisha. Unless it was Elijah that did the bear thing.

I decided to just remove Kyle all together from the game since he seems to only cause arguments.
He can do other things, too, if you do anything with him.

The only problem I can see is the OP halved physical damage, which to be honest, is more of the RNG's fault. A targeted fear can miss, be rolled against or what have you.

First question: Why are you using the RNG? If I was in your position, I would just make up perks to fit the characters.
Second question: What RNG/table/etc are you using?
Third question: If Persona abilities are supposed to be moves, explain Kyle's first perk. Wait, that wasn't a question...
Fourth question: Why are you trying to shoehorn Persona abilities into this game? If I introduced a character from Greyhawk, would we need to hack together a Vancian magic system?
Fifth question: Are you aware that my complaints about Kyle's power level are more due to the fact that he has a lot of abilities than any single ability being OP on its own?
Sixth question: Are you aware that my complaints are more directed to kj complaining about Kyle being underpowered than being any kind of demand for rebalancing? (Although I'd definitely curtail the next powerful perk you roll for him...)

Please can I just ask you one thing, don't respond to elf. I get the feeling he's already thinking about shutting the game down and if you argue with him it might push him over that edge, so please don't I really enjoy this game and I want to see it keep going.

We're actually the cyborgs. Morgan is our opponent, but we were discussing him cause it's fun to play.
In my defense, the poll jumped from "still contested" to "final opponent voting" between times I looked at this thread.

You know what would be a great addition to the game? alien structures/machinery! we've all heard all those conspiracy theories about why NASA never went back to the moon (one says that the moon is filled with aliens and they warned the astronauts to never revisit the moon, I find it hard to believe but oh well...) wouldn't it be cool if there were alien structures on some parts of the Mun?

You could probably do something like this with a mod if they have exposed the functions for generating asteroids. Make an 'asteroid' using a certain model and containing science data for recovery or transmission.
That would work well. Can you mod new types of "asteroids"?

1. Tornadoes, and probably other air-related shenanigans if Kyle gave a damn.
2. Healing, which while common is usually half of a given character's powers.
3. Technology, which allows him to screw with a wide variety of things, essentially being able to do the same thing as Lunette and Yomiko along with everything else he does.
4. Between the armor, his stats, and above all his half-physical-damage ability (and how many enemies have attacked with things that didn't involve physical damage?), he is pretty much as unaffected by attacks as a character can be.
5. His fear ability costs enemies turns, which when characters can do the kinds of things they do in RotMG is pretty damn significant.
6. IRIS. Sure, he doesn't control it, but he has an...interesting amount of influence.

And that's just the obvious stuff. Seriously, you have NO room to claim that Kyle is underpowered. Or that he would be if he didn't have his OP perks.))

Indeed. That does generally indicate a certain lack of disregard for human life, ranging from "minimal" for smoke grenades, greater for flashbang and concussion grenades, and greatest of all for frag grenades. If you fail to possess regard for human life...you're probably going to kill anyone who's being threatening to you, 14-year old, female, or otherwise.



We should probably develop a standardized set of combat rules, without running into Situation X-927. What are some things people have liked about previous combat systems, and how can we integrate them together?
