((Oh yeah. Hm, a football would have been neat. Well, this should be interesting. Grr!))

Andrew looks around. Giant mace? Neat. River of molasses? Less so. Three folks to the...southwest? They all look pretty well-armed, except the chick. The southeast had another guy by the river, with a bee staff and a weird hat. Who knows how many bees that is? To the northwest, there is a guy with some kind of shotgun, and to the northeast is someone with...Um, what are those?

He makes his decision.

Pick up the mace and walk towards Nicholas.
"Hello there! How do you do!"

Thank god someone put that snow guy out of my misery
I'm sad he never engaged in a rap battle. Now if you'll excuse me I need to find my character sheet.

Victoria notices that Selina is stuck as well... does that mean her succubus mode will trigger?! ">_____________<"
((...I are confussled. Why would it trigger?))
((Because it was exposed to extreme mental trauma and/or life-threatening danger?))

15019
"Aren't we going to the beach?"

((Gotta go to bed.))

15020
Alan stares at Victoria, confused. You think. Alan will be easier to write once we get him a bracelet or something.

Well, you can pick up stuff that gives you power points, the mana of psionics. So not really. It's just an augment.
What kind of stuff? Can you carry around a psionic crystal that gives you power points each day or something? Can these crystals be implanted in our clients' bodies as part of the process? Do they function when ground up and resist acid? Am I thinking about this too much? Should I get some sleep?

How would we control them when we were out?
Several options. The first of which is we don't. As long as we hide the loot elsewhere so they can't take it, I don't care what they do when we ain't around.
Second we could leave some crew behind and take some locals on the boat to replace them. This would leave a presences there, and take some of their ability to resist with us. They may cause trouble on the boat, but at least we will be around to handle it.
Third we could act like the dishonorable pirates we are and kill the able bodied males as soon as we seize control.
Fourth we could put up with their treachery for a time. Eventually we can start building up their local economy, and that will take some of the vennom from their hate.
5th we can work with a race that values might in a leader. I'm sure there is a race/culture out there that are more or less used to stronger people comeing in to kill/replace their leaders fairly often.
1. Loyal minions are helpful. Besides, if we can't store stuff there or get minions or anything, what's the point?
2. Do we trust any crew members to be sufficiently powerful and loyal to do so? Can we spare them?
3. Um...well, wouldn't that remove a fair bit of the point of the point of having a town AND create a number of angry widows to rebel against us?
4. Not terrible.
5. ...Can't find anything to complain about, as long as we stop any of them from killing us.

Like hobgoblins/orcs/drow(If you can't backstab the leader, then you're not good enough to be the leader :P )?. Kobolds are a unique case, seeing as they only worship dragons and the like. Of course, if there's no nearby dragon, Raiss can give the leader a swift boot up the arse and we have a VERY lucrative mining operation available (We'd be able to keep most of the product due to them tributing it.)
Raiss? Again?

"I'm not conceding defeat, I'm trying to figure out how to talk to you without accidentally mind-controlling you!"

Alan stares at Selina for a moment.

15023
Selina doesn't get past the stuttering after "beach" before Nuriel hurries out of the room. Moments later, she returns, wearing a skimpy bathing suit over a sort of plastic low-cut shirt thing over her back, for covering her wings. This reduces the effect of the bathing suit somewhat.

15024
"*GULP* O-o-okay..." Selina still stands close to Victoria in slight fear.
Alan envelops Selina, Victoria, and by extension Cyrielle in a chain-based hug.

Darnos idly kicks her until she wakes up.
"Do that again though, and you''ll die." Yellows out with a bit of grey flashing.
Mutually assured destruction isn't your thing, and you know I'm capable. You won't follow through.
Alan stares at Darnos.

"Um..."

((What Skitter did in the final arc was exactly [SPOILERS], bypassing Manton effect...
((Not everyone reading this topic has read all of Worm. Probably...))

((does Dr. Manton exist in this universe))
((Yup. Mostly because I couldn't think of something to rename the Manton effect that you guys would instantly recognize.))

"Next, we have Femur. Once Skull took over the Bloods and Bones and renamed them, he began aggressively searching for parahumans to add to his ranks. Among the first to join was Femur, a speedster." Argonaut changes the image behind him; it now shows a tall, obese man wearing a white robe cut off at the knees, with a skull-and-crossbones symbol on the chest. He has a young woman on his shoulders. "Femur is capable of speeds in excess of 200 kilometers per hour, and becomes less affected by most natural forces the faster he moves. This makes him difficult to catch and hard to hurt, as long as he's moving. He takes a while to accelerate to top speed, however. Often, Femur carries smaller members of the Bones on his shoulders.

"That young woman on her shoulders? Humerus, who was kidnapped by the Bones perhaps a month and a half ago to gain access to her power. She may have developed Stockholm Syndrome. For a while, Humerus was the Bones' main powerhouse, capable of generating duplicates of other individuals. These duplicates even possess the powers of the originals, albeit at weaker levels. Like Skull, her control and precision slip when she is controlling a large number of people. Thankfully, her limit is much lower; she rarely controls more than a few, or only one if she must move far from the duplicate.

"Those are the current parahuman members of the Bones who they had before this week or so. Are there any questions or comments on them?"

15026
"Um..." Awkward silence.

"...How about you choose?"

Spoiler alert: They don't do that.

My point was that Chirugery just gives an extra psionic power to someone who already has psionic powers, which kinda defeats the point.

15028
He's the guy who destroyed the whole world last time.
Not ringing a bell.
Remember the giant book-wyrm? That was him.
Nope. I remember the dragon, but no guy.

15029
((And what Skitter did in 30.6 totally didn't violate the Manton effect and leave it in an asylum.))
((You are correct. What did her actions have to do with it?))

15030
Nuriel smiles. "Great! Um, where would we be going?"
