You mourn over the body of your dead beloved.

You all Alice, almost certain that you've done this before.
"Hello? Oh, it's you! You're calling about dinner tonight, aren't you? I'm not sure where we were planning to go...I don't remember if we decided. Where would you like to go?"
"Taco night? You usually can't go wrong with tacos."
"Taco night, great!"

-----

You head downtown. Everything seems...eerily familiar.
"So...we could just go to South of the Border across the street, or we could head to that taco stand across the street. I don't think I've ever had a taco from there before. We could eat in the park or something."
"Nah, I...feel like eating indoors tonight."
Alice seems a little disappointed, but she just shrugs. "Alright, that works."

You head into the restaurant. There are a few open tables. You look around. "Sorry we couldn't eat in a park, but that window has a great--" You can't even finish the sentence before Alice starts pulling you across the crowded restaurant to sit at a table by the window. It is a nice view; you can see the river from here. Still, you feel like something is...off.

Soon, a waitress comes by with menus.
"Hm...I feel like trying something new today. How about this "Manteca de Cacahuete Taco" thing? That sounds good. And one diet coke."
"Certainly, ma'am. And what would you like, sir?"

>A: "Just a normal taco and a Pepsi for me, please."
>B: "Hm...I'll have a vegetarian taco and a glass of water, please."
>C: "I think I'll step out of my comfort zone, too. How about a fish taco and this mango smoothie thing?"
>D: "Alice, you know that Manteca de Cacahuete is Spanish for peanut butter, right?"

*mostly finishes update*
*thinks this is New Replies tab*
*refreshes*

Yeah, probably not another update today.
Wow. That sucks.

Remember the thing about me bumping my computer? My hard drive is probably failing.
That is also unpleasant.

Kick impatient player.

Although a new turn would be nice. Especially if it came on my birthday.

Also, team Dishonourable lacks any casters (That can be blasty at any rate.), so any boat we want to scuttle has to be done the hard way. Not that I mind if all the casters will be damned wizards >.>
Spirit shamans use the druid spell list, so I have a little blasty.
It's not much though, so yeah.

Edit:  Oh lord, he can't be a Doppelganger in the first place.  4RHD.

The campaign would need to start at level 8 before Doppelganger is an acceptable choice for a race.
Races of Destiny has a monster class for doppelgangers. He could start with six levels of that.

Your character is definitely the hardest to kill among all the characters created so far. All you really need at this point to be MVP is some way of getting the enemy to attack you preferentially. Stand Still with Combat Reflexes would let you do that, if you're willing to rework your feats a bit or take a flaw.

E: For the most hilarious Dread Pirate build ever, do Cleric 5/Dread Pirate X. Wear a red robe with silver trim. Cast Animate Undead on a a set of 8 sharks and then use Rebuke Undead to control a 9th one. Use them pull your pirate sleigh ship along the water with iron chains. Whenever you use Bolster Undead, you're required to shout:

"Now, Bitey! Now, Chompy! Now, Gnawer, and Gnasher!
On, Toothful! On, Jawful! On, Crusher and Crasher!
Pull us into the waves! Now against the squalls!
Rip them up, rip them up, rip them up, my thralls!"
That does sound amusing. I might need to use that for one of my campaigns...

Instead of that, you get a general explanation of how science works. Whenever you amass enough science points, or whatever I'm going to use for that, you can choose to either get 1 new idea, or 1 new invention. An invention is made by combining several ideas. For example:
-Travel by Sea + Mass Travel => Long range galleons
-Magical Husbandry + Mounted Troops => Troops mounted on Magical animals
...Noted. I will try mixing semi-contradictory ideas and see if I get swordguns or something.

Quote
Magical wells are for example very useful for domestic production, but not mobile enough for defense.
Do you mean offense?

Should we post some character sheets?

((Where's Angel making this Mannequin again?))
((Her room, I believe.))

((And then Darnos is going to recruit him, and maybe Angel (who seems to have turned into Bonesaw as of sometime two posts ago), and Scion knowns what else.))
((Also, while Darnos may recruit that guy, he knows fleshwarping as well, and emotion manipulation, so he's basically Jack Slash, Cherish, and Bonesaw combined.))
((Is Darnos the one semi-accidentally making horrible abominations of flesh and plastic in his bedroom?
Is he an adorable little girl who happens to create crimes against nature?
Well, Angel hasn't really gotten to the crimes-against-nature part yet, but still.))

Fuckerfuck. I forgot how much getting shot hurts. Still, let's see how the bone held up.
((...Okay, that was stupid enough to disqualify you from being Jack Slash. Please transform into a S9 member more similar to your level of intellect at the nearest convenience. Say, a male Cherish. Or maybe Pagoda.))

((Hey rag! Overshot!))

Spoiler: Process (click to show/hide)
Um...&%#@.

((Well that probably took a couple of hours.  I'm expecting, especially if Selina stuttered as much as she normally does, that it's about 10:00am.  Do you think we should see if the others do anything else before we continue?))
If you don't mind.

Tabitha polishes the design of her machine, making sure that it would actually work.
[10]
Hm. It'll take just a little longer, but if no one interrupts she should be able to finish the design before the 11 o'clock meeting.

With Delphinium's help, Selina manages to fill out the paperwork and go through the introductory materials. They still have about an hour before the meeting about the Bones.

Kevin at some point is examined.
[10]
The doctor lets him go if he wants, but advises him to take it easy either way.

Matthew presumably goes about his daily routine.

Steven Jerle does not decide to try and contact anyone or do anything like that.

15191
After a few minutes of searching, they manage to find the right office and get the paperwork.

((Probably the last update before I sleep.))

15192
Nuriel gave Selina a big hug, carelessly stuffing Selina's face directly in her chest. She instantly feels what she still assumes is DR's work...

15193
Partly extenuating circumstances (e.g. major psychological issues), part reactions, part no one vouched for Steven, part I hadn't thought of that.

By the end of the day, probably. I have a plan to play through...although you could try to argue your case.

C, for dramatic irony.
((Point taken.))

"Do you think people would have heavy weights just laying around where someone could get hurt?"
As if in response to your question, the ceiling above breaks. What appears to be a comically oversized can of beans crashes down, striking the edge of the table next to you, which causes plates and silverware to fly at you and Alice. You quickly check yourself over--nothing too bad, although a plate caught you in the neck and will probably bruise badly.
"Hey Alice, you..." You stop speaking when you notice that Alice is slumped on the floor, a steak knife buried to the handle in her eye socket.

And that can of beans has to be months old.

>A: Mourn.
>B: Never vow to come here again. Old beans? Ew. Also, the love of your life died a tragic death.
