Nuriel tries to comfort Selina.

...She is probably not very successful.

"Okay... um... d-d-do you want me t-to teach you...?" Selina smiles softly at her.
"I know a bit, but thanks for...actually sure, I'd love to see what you could teach me!"

"Sorry we couldn't eat in a park, but that window has a great--" You can't even finish the sentence before Alice starts pulling you across the crowded restaurant to sit at a table by the window. It is a nice view; you can see the river from here.

Soon, a waitress comes by with menus.
"Hm...I feel like trying something new today. How about this "Manteca de Cacahuete Taco" thing? That sounds good. And one diet coke."
"Certainly, ma'am. And what would you like, sir?"

>A: "Just a normal taco and a Pepsi for me, please."
>B: "Hm...I'll have a vegetarian taco and a glass of water, please."
>C: "I think I'll step out of my comfort zone, too. How about a fish taco and this mango smoothie thing?"
>D: "Alice, you know that Manteca de Cacahuete is Spanish for peanut butter, right?"

((The analogy is that potato guns fire anything that is even remotely potato-like.
So my gauss potato gun will fire anything that is ferromagnetic, like steel spoons and sod batons.))
((Oh. That makes sense.))

"Um... I... I c-c-could m-make you a p-p-person... i-if you truly w-wanted..." Selina is a little nervous about this...
"No, I'd rather make the person myself. Otherwise, it's not really my creation, you know?"

Lawful Good? More like Awful Racist.
Considering in DnD several races are quite explicitly almost all evil then to be honest seems kind of fair. Unless they're dark elves, which are all renegades, longing to throw off the reputation of their evil kin.
Technically, most are "usually
  • evil," which means that 70-90% ping as "evil" on Detect Evil.

Nuriel's attack is met with a surprising amount of resistance, the chain seeming to scream as it's struck, but does not break. The chains begin to tighten, Marie's abdomen beginning to glow with a harsh, nearly painful light. Unbeknownst to any of those in the room that do not pass a high-difficulty (think deliberately looking at one of those industrial floodlights when it's turned on and pointed right at you) Endurance/Mind check, Marie's body would collapse, rippling and changing until she forms into a huge sphere of multicolored energy, the chains breaking its surface all across. This would continue, the chains tightening and the glow increasing until it is a pain to even look at, before something begins to emerge, breaking the skin without so much as a blemish to say for it.
"Oh da-arn it. A baby eldritch thingy."

Selina walks in just as the light shines and falls over in surprise, trying to hide her eyes from the light! It was so bright!
Nuriel quickly moves over to Selina, catching her and getting between Selina and Marie.

((Thats rather clever actually... i may have to construct some sort of gauss potato gun and some kind of cookie cutter for ferromagnetic items when i get back.))
((Gauss potato gun? Um...sorry bud, but potatoes are nonmagnetic, except maybe a little diamagnetism, and the general idea of a "potato" gun is completely without a Gauss analogy.))

"Um...is it safe?"

Check for safety. If nothing look dangerous, head to the Sword and chat with the Doctor about if he wants to do tests on one of the fuzzy little guys and sequencing their DNA and stuff like I was going to do.
If, on the other hand, I notice something dangerous (other than my teammates, to cut off that line of humor/misinterpretation), keep under cover and make sure everyone knows about it. Using messages or something, not by shouting my head off.

((Wow, you guys really don't half-ass failure. I don't think a whole team has simultaneously failed so epically before, though.))
((Wait, what? Now this, this you'll have to explain. In great detail preferably. How are we even remotely failing here? We captured the command room and prevented it from being destroyed. Sure, it took quite some collateral, but it's not beyond use so once Steve comes online he can plug in and do the rest. And Auron falling down is a result of bad dice luck, which is to be suspected from time to time.))
((Failure might be the wrong word...but you are (theoretically) avoiding collateral damage, and all caused it and/or failed at once. Besides, not one action went as intended. It's the synchrony more than anything that is notable.))
((I suppose so, but dude, you were on the Ice-9 mission with me! Now that's failure.))
((Yes, but not everyone was failing/badly succeeding at once like this.))

(yup. According to the wiki, we should focus on the younger of these prey.)
((Obviously.))

((Im thinking that You, McDriech, and myself should perform i pincer manouvre with one of us startling it causing it to back up a bit then the other two come at it from the rear and the far side relative to our hidden hunters then we all start screaming like banshees and cause it to flee straight to Dwarmin and the other two who promptly ambush it with wild leaping attacks.

As long as we stay at least a medium distance while "chasing" it this strategy would give Dwarmin a whopping +7 to his initial attack and if combined with a flanking mock charge and a clinging attack this increases to +9

Take the new D10 system into account and he can deal anywhere between 0-36 damage.))
((Impressive plan. But you know what they say about making rabbit stew, right?))

"Something like that, I guess. Why?"

15238
((Um, no. It's like 2,000+ pages.))

((Fuck yeah, got half eaten by a T-Rex look alike and im still in hunting form.
As for tactics, perhaps myself and the other less stealthy/more cunning hunters should head upwind of our prey and guide it into an ambush?))
((Sounds like a plan to ,e.))
