I'll likely go production, if someone could go build that would be groovy.
Check.

How many of the people voting for light-years did so because I mentioned it annoyed me?

It's not illusionary, so it's shapeshifting.

Einsteinian Roulette / Re: Einsteinian Roulette OOC

Yeah, having a man named Angel is so totally ridiculous. What could be next, people calling themselves Feyri or Grate Worm or something like that? We should all have common English names because in the future everyone speaks English and to do otherwise would mean to risk ridicule. Yes. Clearly that is definitely the truth.
Grate's already mocked himself about his name, and also it isn't a girl's name in many areas. Including this one.

I don't think anyone was belittling others for their characters having weird names.
We were poking fun at GWG for making a big deal over a name he thought was strange. :P
Technically, it was a name I thought was easily-mockable.
And I didn't exactly start it.

"I think we can all be glad that the contestant isn't the fleshhorror..."
((Two can meta if one can. And if any can, I can, because I've been trying to make my character generically mysterious!))

I'll pass. I don't care that it was a joke, I want to make it clear that I am unwilling to accept such "gifts".

Perhaps we should switch to one of the characters in the party first, so we can see how Ciro acts without us while risking relatively little?
Not that I support switching to Riltia, mind you; after all:

+1

Play With Your Buddies / Re: Lets Play Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire!

Is this game gonna be played?
In May. The GM's said this a couple times.

Morgan is a master of the economy. Why should he waste that mastery on unit upkeep instead of using the saved money to purchase a conveniently-located, SotA army whenever he needs to go to war?
Because Morgan and other builders are using the "clean reactor" ability on their units. This ability makes the unit cost zero support. They are essentially free of maintenance, and you can have hundreds of them. It is probably one of the most gamebreaking abilities. Especially since it means a builder can put the entirety of their sterling industy capacity to work making even more. There is no reason for Morgan not to have tons of these units to support his probe teams.
News to me.
Alright. Now, let's get to my other points:
1. Convenience
-Simply put, we don't know which direction war will require us to have units in. Probably. Anyways, barring those unlikely circumstances, we'll need to either garrison our army throughout our whole empire, preparing for the day they might be needed...or we can just buy the units we need, where they are needed.
2. Efficiency
-Production we put towards units isn't going towards buildings, which improve a wide variety of things. Economy, future production, science--even wonders.
3. Speed of Response
-Oh no! The zealots are attacking! Quick, order the cities to make units! Great, our army will be ready in 3-4 turns! ...Or we could just buy it.
4. Banks
-Our credits don't do much good just sitting around in the bank. We don't even get any interest, lazy bastards.
5. AI
-"Aha! Those Morganites look like an easy target, they barely have any military! ...Crap, where did all those top-tier units come from?!?"

1540
"Two things. One is that, on my own, I'm one guy. They're a cult with demonic powers. More importantly, though...if I get revenge, what changes? I'm not the only victim, and not everyone's gonna fight back. This Order...they seem like they'll help me help everyone. And that's important."

1541
I don't like any of those because they're silly side things distracting us from our actual task.
Is fun illegal now?

I agree that there are times to be serious, but we're in Underside. We can afford to be silly.
Silly does not always equal fun. Stopping to smell the roses is nice, but less so if you get scratched by the thorns of hesitation and loss.

Kyle's eyes flick to her chest quickly before coming back up.
I see nothing much has changed.

"...Aren't... those... the same thing?" Morgan is confused.
Kyle shakes his head.
You know, for someone comparing himself to Iron Man, Kyle doesn't seem to understand him very well.

Then again, the main task or purpose of the Target is to ultimately die and become reborn anew; for the continuation of the cycles.
What, you actually want to follow the plan? Shame on you!

Almost being the key word there.
Bah, details.

Also, Akroma did say that those are fine so stop putting words in her mouth. Put stick like things in it.
[N]o healthy relationship I have ever been in, or heard about that was not in a way wait-until-marriage oriented or hindered by trauma excluded sexual attraction.
Notice how that leaves out asexuality, disease, and the like.
