No, I'm really not. You're arguing that Zheg...Zhe...the guy is capable of making perfect illusions that no one can determine if they're real or not, even though there are rules in place for people determining that they're fake. If they can, why can't Will, who has feeds for all their senses plus his power?
And it's not OP, it's simply intended for a non-combat use, while everyone else's is intended for combat use.

Yes, there kinda was. Why would he be looking for that if he wasn't going to report?

Directly, how?

piecewise and the fact that opening the door did nothing bad? And that cutting open a door would have wasted a laser cutter and lead us the wrong direction?

"That's not how you cut a finger!  You gotta put your heart into it!"
((Pretty sure he doesn't want the heart.))

Will doesn't know his personality though. No one in the castle does I think.
He's a god of illusions. If he was anything less I'd say sure but he's a god making copies of himself. He can make them perfect simply by changing himself to match them.
And Will wasn't bothering to say anything at that time.
It's kinda implied by his actions. And even if not, why does that matter?
Even gods aren't perfect. If they were, there wouldn't be a story. Or any ability to figure out which clone is which, because they'd all react perfectly to being attacked. And, really, if you can figure out which is which by attacking, you can figure it out in other ways. If the problem is with reaction (ie, the clone doesn't flinch), then there's ample opportunities from things like feet not quite perfectly touching the floor to blinks in response to bright light being a second late. If it's with action (ie, the weapon doesn't penetrate--which wouldn't work with anything but melee weapons), there's still the dust in the air and whatnot, as well as Will being able to see things like fireballs and weapons going through the illusion.
And that's assuming that Zhen...Zheg...Zhe didn't go with the simple solution and simply project the illusions into peoples' minds, rather than physically making light and whatnot. In that case, he could easily get the person's mind to trick itself into thinking Zhengara (?) was visible in various locations...but each person's image would be subtly different, and Will would notice that.
It was implied.

1671
It's only intuition though.
Why would he be able to figure out perfect clones of someone he can't see?
1. He's watching through everyone's bracelets. They can do that, you know.
2. Illusions will never be 100% perfect. Even a god will screw up, making things move a tiny bit wrong, so it's only maybe 99% right. Will's watching for that 1%.
3. The only ways for Zhengara to get it 100% perfect are to either make an actual copy of whatever he's making an illusion of, or to do the illusion on the mental level. If the latter is the case, Will will spot any discrepancies between the versions people see of it. If the former is the case, they're not really illusions, now are they? If neither is, see #2.

Why would that mean anything though?
He could easily fake out Will.
How? Will isn't there. Zhengara doesn't even know he exists.

Spoiler: Oh really? (click to show/hide)
Yes, really.
Will watches the battle over the bracelets from his hotel room, keeping an eye out for inconsistencies between what is seen and what is known, or between bracelets, or for any other signs of illusions or mind-affecting effects.
Since Kyle only started this turn, Will was doing that for a full turn before Kyle started. That's not just IRL time, that's undeniable IC time.

But Missingno isn't scrambled nor corrupted data. It's the result of the game trying to read something that has nothing allocated in it. :P
Minor detail. The point still stands.
(And technically, it is the result of scrambled data. I'd say "name in the Pokemon encounterable data" counts as scrambled, neh?)

Tell me, what is the distinction between "scrambling" and "corrupting"? What would happen if you scrambled, to pick a not-at-all-random example, the data on a Pokemon?
I meant "scrambling" as in "temporarily disrupting", ala EMP bomb. My bad for not being more specific.
Ah.
Well, it sure looked like something more...you know...deep. Permanent.

*In before GWG misreads the point of this and tries to shoot it down.*
Don't bold or +1 it and you're good.

The point I was trying to make was proven right. If that's not victory, what is?

Magarth invades Cromwell's personal space, getting right up in his grill and stating him down only a few inches from his face.
"YOU. YOUR FATHER WAS BITCH, YOUR MOTHER WAS WHORE. YOU ARE BITCH-WHORE WITH PENIS LIKE TINY BABY RODENT. DAH? DAH. YOU LACK VEGETABLE CONSUMPTIONS, LIKE LITTLE WHORE BITCH."
Magarth makes his statement loudly with accompanying (in)appropriate hands gestures as globules of his spittle rain upon Cromwell's face and body.
"I may have made a decision as to who to impede."
"YOU ARE LEETLE BITCH MAN."
...
You can't hear that. We're probably miles apart. And you don't have access to a webcam in my room.
"YOU TRY TO FIGHT ME AND YOU DIE, DAH? DAH! FUCKING MENSHEVIK."
You're crazy. And kinda annoying.

that makes Will a huge credit to the team. I can't believe it, Will actually contributed. Kickass.
He's contributed before, he just doesn't show up to combat much.

Oh, fair enough.
I'm pretty sure that's pretty close to the definition of "unfair"...

((question, once the real Zhengara has been identified, does he have to be re-identifed every round, or can you stay on target? Similarly, once identified as an illusion, are you able to remember it is an illusion?))
If not, just check with Will. He's paying attention to all the bracelet feeds; between that and his power, he should spot any illusions pretty fast.

((If you hit the real one it will identify him, that will only count if you actually damage him though and leave a mark. If he dodges out of the way it does not identify him. Once a person realises which one is real they will remember, this is separate for each person though))
Except that Will would notice and inform people.
And that's assuming he doesn't notice which is which beforehand.

((Actually I do have a semi-rational reason why Lunette is a lesbian. It is a spoiler though.))
...Why does she need a reason?

((I wonder if Xantalos is an actual void entity in-game.))
((Not in this one - the closest I came to manifesting in a game was THE from TA.))
What about the time you and I got summoned in similicrum by Tabella?

1677
"Thank you captain obvious. I'll be sure to ask you if you can hear me point out the exact same thing later."
((I said I was doing it before you did!))
<Well excuse me for providing redundancy.>

<... What's with my daughters being lesbians?>
<...Nah.>

True, it is not. But since the Person/Sour Star/Illborn thing parallels Kingdom Hearts's Person/Heart/Heartless/Nobody thing, it made good example to illustrate with. I am not saying that it works exactly the same but I was using it to explain what I was thinking better since you seemed to misunderstand what I was saying.
You can say that about some Warrens system and a system from any game. It doesn't mean anything. Hell, you can say that it parallels the Passengers from Worm, but you don't see me making Theorycrafting based on that, now do you?

We don't know that Riltia lost her Soul Star. She lost her Soul Charge which caused her to transform.
Her soul star was looked at. It was corrupted, damaged, distorted. It almost certainly didn't function as a Soul Star anymore; the only reason I say "almost" is because there might be some function other than those listed in the menu and whatnot that somehow managed to survive the corruption of everything else about it.

Because we were told by FFS that Willborn are specifically different from the standard Illborn. We have no reason to believe the siblings will become Willborn, because we don't know how a Willborn differs from a standard Illborn. There have been several theories, but none confirmed. So its is reasonable to think that siblings are as capable a turning into a non-Willborn Illborn.
And why would we assume that these non-Willborn Illborn are incapable of being monstrous, as you claimed?

Quote
We haven't been able to get that much information yet as the only two Willborn we have seen are the only two transformations we've seen. But we have seen many different standard Illborn both monstrous and (for lack of a better word) normal.
...which is evidence that Sibling Illborn must be humanoid, how?

Quote
Are you saying that there is some reason that Cain wouldn't become a Hellyfish type Illborn? I am legitimately asking a question here, not Strawmanning. Like I said my theory is he wouldn't, but like you said I have no proof hence it's a theory. We have no idea if Cain satisfies any condition (to become Willborn or to become a nonmonstrous Illborn like Chief) so its all speculation.
Define "Hellyfish-type".

Quote
I never said to discount horribly monstrous Sibling Illborn because of Kingdom Hearts. I'm also thinking that Willborn will always look monstrous... judging from the fact that each character has a specific Willborn form and that Willborn are supposed to be a bad thing.
I just said that if a Sibling were to become a standard Illborn that I think they would possibly fulfill whatever condition keeps Chief in a non-monstrous form rather than turning into the monstrous Illborn we seen in the dungeon levels. I do know this doesn't have to be correct, so I'm not arguing this point simply explaining it. It seems from your replies that you misunderstood what I said.
Possibly? Yes. Your original statement made it sound like you were saying that would be the case, however.

IF YOU HAVE NO PROOF THEN IT'S A HYPOTHESIS NOT A THEORY

/pedant
Yes, because we're following scientific procedures so much more than colloquial types of (semi-)educated guessing.

You know, if the secret is that the ring only works for the dwarf I am going to be so angry.
It is unlikely for a modular magic system like Perplexicon, isn't it?
One of the many reasons for that anger.
P.S. If it only works on golden hammers I will be annoyed at you. Not angry, but annoyed. Just gold would be a pain, but I wouldn't be annoyed at you so much.

You'll notice that it never devolved into Unwinnable OOC Arguments.
You say that as if the latest one ("Should we cut out a random side or just open the door?") wasn't one that I actually won.

You're generating a fair quantity of crap yourself, TCM.
I think Thumper says it best.
Though you're certainly not the only one.
And I was pointing out how one of TCM's examples was hypocritical.

Eh, I think using 'it' might be best, but I just tend to forget (have been using both 'it' and 'him' at the same time, personal negligence really).
Depends on how well it understands the nuances of English.

(( Holy shit, did the Sods actually find the controllers? Quick, tell the Sods to control the Sods! XD))
Yo dawg...

What happened to Team G, anyways?
