Several beds and equipment material crumble into dust as Darnos continues to stare at the girl, unmoving.
Several nurses and attendants glare at Darnos. They wonder how hard it would be to get a student banned from the infirmary.

Oh, and you people are weird even for Bay12.
Well if you were running the game, it would devolve into superficial debates about pigeon anatomy and mating.
No disrespect.
None taken.

BTW, how come everybody comes from long line of pigeons when the Great Death occurred a mere 10 years ago?

I think it would really be more remarkable if a pigeon didn't come from a long line of pigeons.
Pigeons of pigeon heritage are still struggling to find acceptance. The time for pigeons of oak heritage is likely depressingly far off.
...
Don't make me look up pigeon anatomy and mating.

Apparently Sidereal is narcoleptic

Wake up damnit
Does your rock ability turn off when you pass out?
Otherwise, I may have a slight difficulty in moving you out of harm's way.
If Sidereal is a rock, not a lot is going to put her in harm's way anyways.

If that still fails, have them all sit on it.
I prefer having them hug it. Hugs are nice! They can even be given to foes of equal or superior altitude! What I'm saying is, they don't have to be shorter.

((Those guys were preparing the planet to hold out against an invasion by a superior force or a worker uprising. Of course they have some comms. Once you consider what they were preparing for and that those guys are SpecOps, the best of the best, trained to pursue victory at any cost, this all makes more sense.))
((Tying civilians to shields?))

((I kinda think that, if this was what they were going for, there would be easier and less elaborate ways to do it. Remember, there are still hostile aliens that humanity is fighting, like the Heabi or something like that.
((No, I didn't. I'm new, remember?))

((Besides, that latest transmission made me think less "invoked threat" and more "inside job". This was too fast, too much of a gamble from the data they should have had, for them to have not had some idea beforehand...seriously, where did they even get the binding supplies? Do they keep bondage equipment next to the rifles and above the grenades in the armory?))

(Roof could collapse and injure the team, or block our progress. :\)
((Safer than leaving three random HMRC members in a locked room for an hour.))

Beware teammates acting strangely or showing signs of physical or mental damage.
((Shouldn't that be "or are acting like normal people"? This is the HMRC, after all...))

And Team leaders, I'm rescinding the ban on civilian casualties. It's damn clear they're gonna try to use that against us and we cannot let them get that sort of upper hand. Attempt, I repeat, attempt to minimize them. Do not kill unless you must, but if you must, do not hesitate.
((Hm...on one hand, Steve probably isn't intentionally betraying us, but on the other...well, I have to wonder if there might be a spy in our midst. Possibly some other part of Steve.))

((Ok so we have guys who can more or less get all bodysnatcher on us, and pretend to be us, and probably the only person they can't do that to is Miyamoto, do to the fact hes a GODDAMN GUNDAM. Also said person is nowhere near the people who would likely be taken over :P.))
((Xan, Lyra, Rennen, and the other... exotics... are probably pretty hard to imitate as well.))
((It sounded like mind control to me...))

Be advised. The standard armament for a Shadow walker includes a LESHO rifle and there's a chance they're using nuclear tipped shells. We're on a not dying in a thermonuclear fireball timer here.
"Miss--" Grate covers his mouth, embarrassed.

Quote from: Grate -> Feyri
Miss Feyri, what's a leshow rifle?

((That's a neat little trick you did with the quote there. I'm going to remember that.))
((What trick, the one where she changed the name in the quote? Not so special. I just spontaneously decided to do it here.))

16822
I'm guessing... Isaac? Was that his name? No, Irving, right, I'm guessing Irving is Head Case. A fitting name really.
You are correct.

Either way it was a good game while it ran and I enjoyed it.
Glad to hear it, although I'd prefer more detail on what you liked about it so I can duplicate this game's success.

1. I think it would be interesting if you restarted this from a timeskip after that beautifully written epilogue.
2. If you did restart it, it would be nice to be able to go back to the characters we played in this, and see how their lives have changed.
3. That I got nice powers :P
4. That it ended before I got to do ANYTHING.

I really did like that epilogue btw :P
*checks BFEL's sheet*
Ah, yes. Both of those would have been neat.
Anyways, thanks for the compliments on the epilogue. I tried to give a general sense of closure with the one major plot arc that affected (almost) everyone, while giving most folks a sense of where their characters went. I know I left a lot of folks out, and if anyone wants to complain about that I'll gladly write additional epilogues for them.

Go deeper into the cave, locating a nice, warm spot for the dragon egg to go. If it is inhabited, remove the inhabitants. Once the spot is uninhabited, place egg there and watch.
You are aware of two unhappy badgers deeper in the cave. Carefully place egg on ground before continuing?
Sure. Behind me, so a fight won't break it.

Roll To Dodge / Re: The Pit of Magic: A Perplexicon Game. [Catsplosion]

Remember the time someone tried to make a bear that controlled flesh and bone?
It would have worked if they added the word Magic to the mix.
Grammar is important. Grammar goes beyond important if you want to go beyond basics.

Take real languages; since everyone reading this probably understands English, I'll use that. If you don't understand grammar but know your vocabulary, you can communicate simple ideas pretty simply; put "me," "have," and "pain" in any order and people will probably understand that you are in pain. More complex sentences--say, "The bear caused my pain"--require knowledge of grammar to avoid making it sound like you hurt the bear or else just gibberish.

16825
It doesn't, but we have very limited SP.

Ask Oric for more data on what 50 FP and 50 SR mean.
Goom-Bess: Tattle on FP and SR.

"Oh and also, you might have made Richard more powerful as a result..."
"Oh?"

"That would devolve the status from 'mythological or historical figure' to 'family member'"
"Not exactly grandmother. More of a figurative one. In any case, she's still a mythic figure; having a king for your father wouldn't make him less of a king."

((I'm probably leaving soon. When I do, I won't be online for a couple hours, maybe not until tomorrow.))

16827
How about we focus on the here and the now? We don't need a hundred robot designs, when we can't yet make them.
But the future's really great!

16828
Well, yes, it won't be cheap and it won't be a Basic Drone Design*.
