[SPI:25+500] [8/8] Targeted Lightning for a brief moment, bright circuits cover the entire hallway before vanishing in less than half a second. Will has a feeling that mentioning the statistics of lightning strikes may be a bad idea here...
((Thanks for the data, but...what?))
((Arthur has enchanted the entire hallway so that whenever someone makes any comparison reference to the low chance of lightning, they will be struck by lightning. Immediately. Though the lightning will no heat up anything and won't disrupt any bodily functions, plus there won't be any accompanying thunder. If some says something about lightning not striking twice, it happens as well. Twice.))
((And if someone asked someone else about lightning?))
((Nothing would happen. It must either be a comparison involving the probability of getting struck by lightning with some indications of its low chance or something about lightning not striking twice.))
((That will make Will's preplanned vengeance more complex.))

Anyways.
TAngel has finished.
Spoiler: Roll (click to show/hide)
I'll just guess at the results.
Selina's new bit of scalp is a pinkish color but will be slightly darker than the rest of her head once it heals; if anyone shaves her head and investigates, they might notice it, but it will look more like a big, faint birthmark than anything. The new spot of head will be tender for a while, but if all went well with removing the enchantment it shouldn't be nearly as bad. Her hair also has a little bit of growth, something like peach fuzz; it will grow at a greatly accelerated rate for about a month, although Selina will need haircuts before then if she does not want her hair to reach her knees. And, most importantly, the chunk of tissue with the scar on it is gone.
Selina is roused.

"Selina? It's over. Are you okay?"

Not indestructible but very hard to destroy, atleast.
Whole-Body Fast Agile Arcane-Energy Dispel/Drain/Absorb Magic.
"Bwa ha ha! I am now invulnerable to all kinds of attacks! Wait, what's happening to my body?"
And that is how Sarzael absorbed himself to death.
Or we could throw big objects at you and watch the massive explosions tear you apart--being able to generate explosions with a touch does not mean that you are immune to explosions.
Or we could just encase you in something like a repulsive-energy-steel cage. Who cares if you're alive, if you can't do anything?
Or we could find a nonmagical, nonmaterial attack. Or, depending on how the Dispel Magic Body spell works, we might just be able to take control of your mind or body and go from there.

One spell: black hole.
Dispel Magic, remember? The blackhole would shut down, if it works as i think. Just look at Null Sword. Any magic, wether it be a fireball, or a arcane beam dissapeared in contact with it. So unless an army of people decides to jump at me until all my arcane energies goes off it would be kinda hard to hurt me.
[/quote]
Assuming that the black hole/attractive force/whatever attracts with not magic, and doesn't use magic to generate the attractive force (and that Myxidia isn't just a wormhole to a vacuum which draws you in via suction or something like that), you would also need to be completely immune to magic instead of just being able to "turn off" the magic. Oh, and you need to survive.
In short, that requires a number of assumptions to be true.

Blackhole plan? Either ways i think i may have the way to form a stable (Non dissapearing) blackhole and maximize his potential making it dangerous for enemies but safe for yourself.
I doubt it.

I don't think you'd get a speed roll at that point, just an endurance one.
Yeah, you ca't exactly dodge the ceiling.

-snip-
You dont seem to realize most of what i have been speaking of.
Just like you don't seem to realize much of ours!

Quote
And unless that giant puddle of mercury is natural it will simply dissapear when you get nearby due to Dispel Magic.
Once you summon something, it has ontological inertia. And wouldn't the quicksilver reflect the dispelling magic?

Quote
You can start with 6 Points on channeling and three on some other stats you think you will need, personally i would take speed or dext.
Congratulations! You now have -1 to the rolls stopping you from dying when you get hit!

Quote
Thearpox: +2 to Endurance is also nice. And you can get a speed roll to kill the person who would cause the cavein before he actually does it.
Where would you get the +2 to End?
And you know that caveins can be done by surprise or from far away, right? We've got a dwarf--give him five rocks and a good payment, and we'll have a cave-in trap before you can say...well, the full name of titin, certainly.

Any chance you lot can take this somewhere else? Reading pages of posts that boil down to "Nuh uh" and "Uh huh!" isn't particularly entertaining for, well, anyone.
But I like pointing out that Sarzael lied!

Start mining the Sods that look the most dangerous to me or my teammates.
(("Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to war we go..." *whistling*))
((Well, it's a mining laser. It's only appropriate to use the mining skill. Like fighting with a pickaxe.))
((If you say so.))

((Yes, but if the object was large enough it wouldn't matter, the impact would still send up just as much dust into the atmosphere and cause a sun-blocking extinction event. And even if the object WASN'T that horribly huge, its still pretty situational as to whether hitting a larger area softer is better then hitting a single one harder. I.E. it depends upon population centers near impact zones and whatnot. With a single large impact you can at least calculate who you need to evacuate pretty easily.
((I would argue that, at least with asteroids that wouldn't be planetary catastrophes beforehand, spreading it out would be good; a heat wave followed by a cold snap and a bunch of dust in the air are pretty negligible, while a concentrated hit could easily wipe a nearby city or a bunch of farms or something off the map.))

Quote
No matter what, the point is, its hitting with exactly the same force no matter how many pieces its in. So if you were expecting an Earth-Shattering-Kaboom before smashies, you can still expect the same boom. Just in a lot of places at once.))
((Hm...I'd say that depends on the exact mechanics of the kaboom and how close to the minimum kaboomy energy the impact was. Imagine four half-eggshells and a book: If you rest the book's weight on the eggshells, they'll probably hold, but if you balance the book's weight on four pins beforehand they probably won't. Okay, that's a terrible analogy, but you get my point, which is: "Explain to be how the planet would blow up from the asteroid impact, and I'll let you know if I think blowing it up might mitigate the damage to the 're-terraformable' level."))

((Really, a not-entirely-accurate-but-still-pretty-good saying I've heard is that if you fragment an impactor like that, you're basically replacing a shotgun slug with birdshot of the equivalent mass))
((Excellent analogy. Or close enough. Really, it depends on the level of fragmentation.))

>Take credit for the sheep's successful capture.
Impede action.
Drakruldus had no problem doing what the goblins asked him to do, but if they then tried to take credit for his holy charms when they can't even read*...

*Kobold script resembles a variety of random scratches at first glance. At an extended glance, it resembles a random pattern of several types of scratches. It is mostly used by shamans and the like for their holy texts, which are sadly often mistaken for damage by the illiterate goblins and hence thrown out. This is why both writing and oral tradition are so vital to kobold shamans.

I could become indestructible with 6 Words...
I bet you can't.
I will second the bet and if required provide matching funds knowledge.

((Assuming you don't blast it into pieces small enough that they either burn up in the atmosphere or can't do damage individually. A thousand-ton rock dumped into the atmosphere would do a lot more than a thousand tons of cotton.))
((That's actually a misconception. The amount of energy delivered wouldn't be significantly reduced. The damage would be less localized, there will probably be a little less of a crust-shattering crater, but the total energy of the rock would just be dispersed, and would be transferred into the atmosphere. The heat from the small fragments burning up would be not be much less than what you'd have from the single rock, the overpressure shockwave would be worse, if anything, the tectonic effects would be somewhat weaker, but the amount of "ejecta" from the impact would just be replaced by an equivalent amount of asteroid dust.
So no, blasting it into lots of small fragments doesn't reduce the damage by much. The point of blasting the asteroid into small fragments is that the small fragments will deviate from the asteroid's impact trajectory, and will either miss the planet entirely or impact at a sufficiently later date from the others that the planet has time to recover.))
((Wouldn't the shockwave, heat, and stuff be dispersed by the atmosphere so that it damages a much larger area, but affects each area less?))

You're basically pinned to the ground by your own metallic growths at this point.
((Next, toss a battlesuit boot into the machine and eat that! Or maybe some spare servomotors. Getting a hundred pounds of metal on your legs, too, would be funny, but the motors might let you move.))

((I suspect that there has been a fundamental misunderstanding of Angel's plan.))

"Opposed. We are NOT cutting her head off."
"I said I wasn't doing that! I'm just cutting out the scar tissue and replacing it with not-scar-tissue!" Angel is annoyed at...Richard, I think?

"Unless you want to begin the decapitation process."
"No, I don't! Listen to me next time!"

((Anyways, for those who don't understand--Elf, listen--Angel's plan is to replace the scar with normal flesh, using fleshcrafting rather than surgical methods. Which I'm pretty sure are very different. Unless the scar continues into the skull, there should be no danger to Selina if nothing bad happens. Like, I dunno, getting attacked by mutants or struck by lightning or something, but what's the chance of that?
*zap*
I was referring to the mutants!))

The cause of this appears to be some massive enchantment on Selina's scar, or her whole head in general. You can't tell which.
"Good news, Will and I think we have figured out what it is. It's an enchantment that covers either only her scar or her head in general. Alex probably would have put Selina's brain in a newly-made head and put that on her neck or something, but I'm not that crazy or confident. Instead, I'm going to be removing the scar and replacing it with some normal head. I just need biomass--like, meat or something. Does this school serve steaks, or chicken? And is anyone opposed to this plan?"

Assuming no opposition and at least a few steaks' worth of meat, TAngel begins, presumably assisted by everyone else. TAngel is terrified--this is the first time she's done anything like this. Except maybe the fish...and they weren't Selina!
