Basically we fucked up and didn't notice that Yuri borked reality.

Normally, the past cannot be changed. Ever. Even if SOMEHOW, you were able to go back in time, the things that happened in the past would still lead you into going back to try to fix what went wrong.

And of course you can't go back in time.
1. Why is everyone retconning everything?
2. How? I really don't like these "It happens this way and that's just how it is" explanations.
3. It's impossible to go back in time, just like it's impossible to travel faster than the speed of light, right?

Also, time travel is impossible because OOC it's a pain in the ass to keep track of already, and IC the past is but a concept, and the future has Fate.
I'd like to point out my counter-argument. You can't travel to concepts, but you can travel to specific instances of those concepts.

I do, of course, have a contingency proposal for when someone inevitably finds a loophole: a person's actions always affects their temporal coordinate only.
If someone somehow goes back in time and replace the daggers Caesar's murderers with shivs, the past remains the same, some unfortunate person in the present just suddenly gains shiv wounds.
If Pearl Harbor was altered so that the pilots of the bomber swam all the way from their carrier to the ships and shivved the damn things until they sank, then someone in the present randomly gets shivved so hard that were they a fleet of naval ships, they would have sank.
If Demons Run was sealed by getting shivved into submission rather than bound with virgin sacrifices, then someone, somewhere in the present gets shivved really damn hard. As in REALLY FUCKING HARD.
In all cases, nothing else is affected.
...
Pardon my language, but that makes no fucking sense. On multiple levels.

Fuck if I know, I'll work it out when I can. Busy moving house, so I'll be posting slightly less frequently.
How is that even possible?

It means I got pissy about Ashley somehow aging ten years in a week when she should only age a week without outside influence messing with her perception of time. This lead to me figuring that Void mind raped Ashley into believing she was in the void for ten years so he could impregnate her and make sure no one else would take her.
Meanwhile, we pointed out how time dilation doesn't work like that at all.

((Why is this even called "Rise of the Magic Girls" anymore? I think "Bay12 Adds Death-Rays and Eldritch Aberrations to Mythology" is probably more appropriate by now :P))
Given how much we're screwing up the mythology, not really.
You do have a point, though.

Anyway.
Switch Rubic to Dwarven, reabsorb ultimate weapon, reheal and remana everyone, then try to bloodshape the worst weapon ever. Like, negatively useful and such. That should give us more MHP than we started with.
Bloodshape GWG.
Wait, what?

Reabsorb weapon. Have Ciro create a Horologue puppet. Except be intentionally creepy this time.
We don't need to Bloodshape puppets.

...That gives me an idea. If we can bloodshape sentinent creatures, could we perhaps, improve upon Sentient creatures as well?!
Big if, though.

Do you use FAR? I kinda gathered that you have Deadly Reentry, so...
I considered it, but I'm pretty sure I didn't install it.

There's more than that. FAR does model the loss of control at supersonic speed, but more importantly it models surfaces obstructing each other from airflow, and angles of deflection. GWG's aircraft returns lightweight, and it has canards on the front - which are meant to aid in low-speed maneuvering. When he starts turning, the canards quickly pull the nose away from the airflow, and then lose effect because of the attack angle, turning into nothing but a source of drag. Which translates to the plane immediately starting to do violent spins when in atmosphere at any sort of decent speed.
Drop the canards. Gotcha.

When you have a hammer, and a variety of tools that aren't as "fun" to use, you shouldn't always use the hammer when the screwdriver or wrench would work better. Especially when hammers have the chance to accidentally kill or wound everyone on your side.

Well, if you changed the configuration of the world to (say) five minutes before you dropped your computer, breaking it, what's to stop you from stopping yourself from dropping your computer?

kj: What I'm hearing from you is that you basically hate the core of the game.

As with all good things, use in moderation. Use magic when you need to, but when mundane stuff works, use it.

Look at it this way. Like nuclear weapons, magic is probably capable of solving your problems. Like nuclear weapons, magic is entirely capable of making more problems for you.

We'd probably accidentally burn down the house.

Or burn it down on purpose. This is Bay12.

I'm completely not sure what you're arguing.

Cryonics, cryogenics, cryobiology...it's all a chilly blur.

That doesn't change the fact that it's to easy to start an apocalypse.
You need to overshoot the power roll and critfail the control roll. And if you want it to be a serious apocalypse, you need a 7/0 type of thing.

It seems that fantasy games with magical powers extant but a bad idea to use don't go over well. Noted.

1842
And in what way does this make time travel impossible?

The apocalypses are supposed to be symptomatic of the reasons you're supposed to treat magic as something you only use when you need to, which is a fact that no one seems to get no matter how much I remind you.

The queen is special because of what happened after the events of the movie. Ie, she didn't try to avoid using magic and she wasn't lynched, so she learned how to use her magic.

I'll freely admit that it's been a long time since I've read anything on cryo...is cryogenics the thing where they freeze dead people to revive them later?
