Roll To Dodge / Re: Thawed (Selina AWOL)
« on: April 12, 2014, 07:32:25 pm »
wot. is that your youtube acc.?
...It is? Crap.
This should work. I think.

Turn the crystal into meat. Because why not.
Power: [2+1+0.2-2=1]
Nope. You just can't gather enough strength to change something that sterile and simple into something complex and alive.

"Job well done, guys. Really, I'm prouda y'all. Pat yerselves on the back."

Pat self on back.
"So, guess we go find the two missing? If we don't find 'em within two hours, we declare 'em dead, enforcable when they eventually come back if anybody feels like it. Sound good?"
Leave a couple soldiers to heal the wounded! We ain't medics, that's fer sure. With whatever help I can muster, seek Selina and Kyle! Don't wander off too far from the others if any come along, though. If nobody comes along, stay put.
May not be medics, but I can still bandaged the worse wounds to stop bleed outs
Sleep: [5]
The soldiers and Kuroe treat the wounded who haven't, you know, passed on. Meanwhile, Kext looks for Kyle and Selina.
Selina's definitely run off, but she hasn't tried to conceal her tracks. You could probably track her. Kyle, on the other hand, is glaring at a big, spreading chunk of crystal and cursing about something.

Selina quickly pulls out her herbs and bandages, working on something to dull the pain quickly first before bandaging the worst injuries and inducing sleep if M is awake at any point.
[1+1]
You manage to use a salve to fix the damage your attempted bandage did.

Report to witch hunter.
Welp, mission completed. Return to bosslady for orders.
"Get the others, get everyone on their feet, and let's start heading back. We can probably make this disaster a net gain if we use the extra time efficiently enough."

Criminy. Um.

Restart universe. That way, I know what's happening and making the status thingies is easy.

What, those three?

Yeah...we're gonna want to band together to beat them. Everyone willing to work together for that, say aye. Everyone unwilling to, say nay. Everyone undecided, you can either abstain or just ignore this.

2060
Depends on the parts. Air doesn't weigh much; padding to make sure that your sheets of metal doesn't shake around or break? Tools to assemble stuff in orbit? Rendezvous fuel? Less so.

If everything for space is unstable in atmosphere, how did we get shuttles and stations into orbit? Hm?

(And I was making a minor physics quibble.)

Overall...orbital construction makes sense for a few things, but if you're making those things, you should be willing to put in the sweat, tears, and Kerblood to actually haul all that crap to orbit before assembling it.

Pictures, vids, streaming, whatever it is it is a Big Deal.

Yes, yes the Internet is wonderful.
Also, did you see the news segment? I had fun writing that. And fun with Constanza's whole reaction to this in general.

EDIT: As an aside, yes, video of Constanza did get out there, albeit in low quality and more focused on the knights. Her hair is  still as atrocious ever, like Homura's style gone horribly horribly wrong. You might be able to recognize her from the fairly limited amount you saw back in...holy crap did we really have the Dumah plot only in February?!?!?
This post was directed at GWG. Mostly because Will.
...Is there something Will is supposed to want to do to Constanza?

2062
FFS is more perceptive than that GWG.
1. Poe's Law.
2. Troll GM.

Quote
As for him being troll GM... disagreeing with them I don't think will affect that aspect very much...
It will, however, make it mathematically impossible for him to have reason to screw us over in that manner.

2063
I will point out that no magic unless it is already cast is immune to having the caster shot.
Contingency.

Then it's a war scythe which is a type of makeshift halberd rather than a gardening tool.
"Makeshift"?
As in justification or definition?
I'd call it explanation, but justification works.

Oh also, just in case Ashley's katana's enchantment gets improperly overloaded or the Grim Reaper gets involved, does anyone know what happens to matter if quarks suddenly stopped exchanging gluons?
1. Why would this matter?
2. Why would you make something that does something you don't even have a guess what it would do? At least shoot an email to whatif@xkcd.com first...

2064
You're trying to debate with jokes again GWG
If no one disagrees with them, ffs might take them as actions! And none of us want jokes to turn into actual actions.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Re: Gods and Mortals II OOC (Update)
« on: April 12, 2014, 07:01:10 pm »
So, everyone, what do you think is the best strategy in this game if your sole goal is to become Overgod?
Theoretically? Hoard acts, hide, and wait.
If you're interested in speed, you probably want to make a personal domain and make it unattractive for anyone else to try and steal a piece of as efficiently as possible before doing the above.

There's no one good strategy for this. Almost the whole time, you'll want to be looking out for opportunities.

2066
You still need to move all the bits up to orbit, though. That's going to be harder than moving the whole rocket unless you're building something stupidly big or rather unstable (like a mile-long starship or a space station, which are really the exception to the rule), because the raw materials (or even the parts, plus all the miscellaneous bits to make sure no one part breaks on the way up) are going to be as heavy or heavier than the whole craft, and you also have to bring up fuel for rendezvous and whatnot. It's really easier when you don't have a limited amount of acceleration you can use to move everything.
(Not to mention that you're still experiencing about as much gravity in orbit as on the surface, unless you're crazily far out.)

TL;DR: What the hell kind of things are you building?

2067
As I zoom in to prepare for the burn, I notice a fatal flaw of the redesign.

Can you spot it? If so, you're cleverer than old-me was. Or you just have fewer rocket bits in the way and have hindsight powers.
Oh, that one.
An extra fuel tank and engine were added. I wanted to land. Is that enough of a hint?

2068
I agree with having Dak not attack now and disagree with having him attack later.

Wait until it's our frikkin' turn to make decisions.

2069
Missing the point.

Clearly, we make Time Slog. Then we feed him. He turns into King Time Slog. He then uses his Time Powers to lock himself in permanent King Time Slog form.
What makes you think he'll get the right combination of abilities to let us turn him into an OP party member?

Kill Chief, Cool Crab, Goombess, and Horolage using the IE; take all their essences together and fuse them to Slog in the Dark Cathedral.
Revel in the Coolness of a Smart, Humanoid, Demonic Blorble Master
That's stupid, for several reasons.
1. I'm pretty sure we can't turn non-allied dead Illborn into essence, any more than we can turn the essence of non-allied dead Illborn into Illborn.
2. That's a waste of good allies.
3. Do we even know we can put multiple essences into one Illborn?
4. See the above response.
5. Seriously, if you're going to add Essences to one party member, you're going to make it the least useful one?
6. If you've got one Essence you won't add, it shouldn't be the Awesome Essence.

Kill Chief, Cool Crab, Goombess, and Horolage using the IE; take all their essences together and fuse them to Slog in the Dark Cathedral.
Revel in the Coolness of a Smart, Humanoid, Demonic Blorble Master
Man, if we were Illborn, we could have fused everyone with Slog and create the ULTIMATE MAIN CHARACTER: CTHULHU
CIRALITIPRIVOGBESSTWEENXXY CRAB
YOU ARE ALL SUICIDALLY INSANE.

random thought, HF blades cut things at molecular level. If you actually cut molecules at their bonds, you'll be creating a lot of free radicals. Free radicals cause cancer. So yeah, ICARUS blade causes cancer in those she cuts. Of course, this is usualy not the most prioritized concern for the victim...just a random thought
Um...do you care enough for me to point out the various issues with this?

Then it's a war scythe which is a type of makeshift halberd rather than a gardening tool.
"Makeshift"?

News vans arrive and attempt to fight their way through the impromptu police and gang barricades. Thankfully, the reporters don't get through yet. There are enough smartphones that the confrontation is making the rounds online, though.
Already? People are streaming this from their smartphones?

OBJECTION!
TL;DR: no one's getting out of there that easily.
That's pretty cool. Ainit the Innernet wunnerful?

((Busy writing KS RP fic, so might be less active.))
Thought you said KSP fic.
Aw.

((Ehhh, magical racism is overrated. Discriminating on skin color is one thing. Discriminating on the basis of being able to throw fireballs at you is a different matter entirely. xD))
Yeah. It makes sense.

Stella wants to do something about the Order, but is not very politically adept
The Order is in Brazil. Was--it dispersed--but still.

I made something. Thoughts?
