Okay he doesn't lose that many people normally, hes not a gaurdsman.
Also no Angry Marine with an ounce of dignity would die to Slanneshi daemons. If anything it would be Khronates.

1. It was a lot of daemons.
2. Sometimes, you don't have a choice. Besides, it's a lot worse to get...defeated by Slanneshi daemons than someone who kills you right away. Makes for a worse attempt at making someone feel better.
