How about this?
Give influx to Al, try having him second shift it.
Take influx back, switch to Al, take influx, try to second shift it.
If the first fails and second succeeds, we are the Influx.
+1 to plan that could work.
If it does work, we could try second shifting two soul stars simultaneously and seeing if it creates a combined weapon or results in dual wielding.
...We need to try that sometime. And it shouldn't take too much time. But let's get to Ripriver first, just in case. Not like it's a setting-specific test.

Einsteinian Roulette / Re: ER: Dead Man Running: Episode 1

Can't bet on a horse as it comes round the turn on the final straightaway toward the finish line can you?
Not if you want halfway-decent odds.

Hey, are there guns to shoot at the contestants?

The fat man wobbles in excitement.
A massive, smelly man sits near the fat man.
"GO BLUE TEAM! GO BLUE TEAM! GO BLUE TEAM!"

"Nice of them to take Kri off the field. Better than I normally would expect for this kind of game. Oh, yes, this will be...interesting..."

...It looks like what would happen if ER was turned into a children's cartoon and Xan was remodeled to be more "child-friendly".
He still looks like he'd terrify the kids.

Actually I was thinking he reminds me somewhat of Rincewind, somehow. @_@
It's the hat, isn't it?

"I'm not so sure about the whole 'divine will' thing. It seems a lot more like things just happening. If everything's planned, it's not planned by someone who's very smart."
"Remember that the divine have a worldview far wider than we can even comprehend.  What may make no sense to us would be perfectly logical for one seeing the whole picture."
"With all due respect, that sounds like a cop-out."

Need rag now.

Well, it's up to you guys if you want to take on Hockeylube. I wonder if he will be very useful with our party size, though.
Also he would probably be one of the mercenary that we can't really trust.
It would be like ffs to get our guard down with one idiot and one helpful mercenary, only to have the third (powerful) mercenary be the one that backstabs us at the first opportunity. Especially if he's in the Passive Party.

((And Die. A lot. Note: We are in IC))
...I hate when I do that.

Japan+Sims+Nintendo+Mii= WHAT HAVE WE DONE!?
Sounds more like Animal Crossing with Miis to me.
Is there some way we could compare it to Dwarf Fortress?

<I'm surprised that I have to remind you that there are Twilight parts in these bracelets, keeping them from my void magic. And besides, I'm currently not using void magic, so that argument is invalid if anything.>
<One: It's pure Creation magic, since it's Selina's creation through-and-through. Two: You don't screw up the bracelet when you teleport and the bracelet doesn't screw up your teleports. Three: There are many other examples, but I was thinking that the one closest to home would be the hardest to dispute.>

<Also, wouldn't there be to much background activity to pinpoint us exactly? We aren't really unique you know.>
<As far as we know, the bracelets are. Selina's magic seems to be very rare, and given the sheer number of options available to such an ability for communicative purposes, it's unlikely anyone else stumbled on the exact same method as we did.>

<...Can't we say the same for photons which travel at the highest possible speed (and yes, that includes magical means, @Elf doesn't exactly want to simulate the effects of superluminal travel or the hypothetical properties of tachyons)? Signals sent via electromagnetic radiation can be intercepted. I doubt speed has much to do with protecting it from interception.>
<Easier to intercept a slow message than a fast one. Not impossible to intercept a fast one.>

A kerbonaut inside? That doesn't sound like debris.
It's a cockpit no longer connected to anything. Except maybe the one parachute.

It ain't no armageddon preventer, and it hasn't really been tested yet, but its VASIMR thruster and argon supply should allow it to intercept and capture class A and B asteroids for scientific purposes.
I'll believe it when I see it. So please do so.

General Discussion / Re: YouTube Video Downloading
« on: April 11, 2014, 06:45:57 am »
If you're still getting format issues, you can always use Format Factory to convert the files.
Not those issues. The issues where I can't download the video, period. See above.

Restarting didn't work once. I haven't tried twice. I'll try that come the morrow.

Roll To Dodge / Re: Tribulations in Magic: Trinity of bad news

If it's possible, Mr. Strength can do it.

Also it'd be unnecessary cruel of FFS if he'll throw a sidequest on our way and go "lol nope you don't have time to do this"
...And?

Shiny doors out of nowhere?

Mellon! Motherfucking Mellon!
Mellogoth
Ayup.

((yes, I am white with black features and a minimalistic artstyle, obviously))
((Akroma is the first sentient machine.))
Nah, piecewise beat her to it.

((I call bullshit. I rolled a 1 and he rolled a 40? The chances of Luther passing that roll were astronomicaly small. Sometimes a GM must know when to fudge dice in order not to ruin the moment. Refer to above gif))
"I was unlucky once. Therefore the GM is cheating."

((I'd also like to call BS on him beimg able to take a car and not get hurt. That requires him to be more dense than the car and the force of it hitting him.))
Alternatively, he has some magical thing that ignores inertia, like the Siberian from Worm. Or a suit of armor that inexplicably is heavier for other things than it is for him, like Chevalier, also from Worm.

((since when can HILDA do as ICARUS does? I copyright that ability.
You can't copyright it. It's too vague, and human cannonballs were doing it before you.

"DEMACCIAA!" Garen!Bartimaeus cries.
Stella suddenly has the urge to mimic shyvana
???

Hold on, Let me get my discription of Luthar:
Quote from: Luthar
He is brutal and vicious and willing to sacrifice anyone to further his order
Basically, He tanked the damage from the car and I couldn't think of anything better than, He doesn't seem fazed.
How about "He is thrown into a wall. He gets up, seemingly unfazed"?

We should all play realm of the mad god together sometime.
That sounds fun
What is that game, anyways?

No, though you could have Annie or Wheatley control them instead. It works by repeatedly impaling a target with a tendril in a pattern that acts as the summoning ritual for a Fate tendency, that is, Annie, Cyrielle or Wheatley.
Phooey.
...How did Cyrielle become a "Fate tendency," and what are the downsides?

Quote
Plus, here wouldn't be much of a difference between Cyrielle and Will possessing someone unless the latter is able to manually control all of their bodily systems without causing organ failure.
...Not impossible. Not easy, but not impossible.

Ah, I died...
Aw. Wait, how are you posting?
:P

Hihi finally got to use a computer again!
Good. Does she want Mimi?

And she was just a creepy person in the library.
I see...

Am I meant to understand anything recently mentioned in this thread at all?
I don't understand it either.
