Forum Games and Roleplaying / Re: Lordship: A Suggestion Game

Perish the thought of this thread languishing on Page 5. Okay. Let's help create some names while Mal is busy, since there's a glaring lack of names for various things.

Start with the Kingdom name.

The King's name is Edward Geronos. Gerona? Geronreich? Gerlundia?
Assuming that the Geronos dynasty either created the kingdom or renamed it, these seem reasonable, as does Gerland or, more wordily, The Geronan Kingdom.

Losing hope already?

--call us Northsea from their perspective, but from our perspective we're perhaps more likely the southernmost shore that known civilisations have explored. That would make us Southstrand. Southmark.
Southmark might be reasonable, if there's a number of other kingdoms we regularly interact with. I haven't heard of them, so I'm disinclined towards this option.

The Main river is also not named.

It's long and wide. Broadrun, Langflow.
Obligatory royal eponym. The Geron.
It's hard to ford. Bluewall.
It's mighty and winding. The Wyrm.
That last one sounds good.

We could also suggest other place names, features, etc. There's a shortage of proper names in general, but having a determined kingdom name in particular might be useful for the moment of national resistance that is swiftly approaching.
Hm...where's that map?

Go to the King's Room.

Allright, then lets do the farm thingy first. While aesthetics are a thing, I vouch for the safety of our Ominous bowels of doom, riches and cuteboldery. Or what soon will be something similiar. If it is about some tomatoe-fields outside, sure why not - as long as we keep it somewhat small and defendable. Actually, we do want an entrance of foreboding and villainary at some later point in time. As long as the latter is a thing, that is. So yeah, outdoor-farming it is, for now.
And, once we have a proper place for the plump helmet plantations, we can level the tomato farms BWAHAHAHAHA!
After one last harvest, of course.

I'm still not sure. If I recall, you found most of my ideas dull or boring or something like that.

Surprise me, I guess.

Science is the art of using what you know to make impressive things work predictably.
Magic is the art of exploiting loopholes in the laws of nature to do the "impossible".
Combine them, and you are in good shape.

((To the first: There's a distinction between "gooey" and "liquid," which is what I was going for.

For the second, remember the solid lightning and the phantom images and the violation of thermodynamics and the cartilaginous tongues and stuff. Cold gooey iron is where you draw the line?))

Really? None of them?
Skills: Add the skills and bonuses mentioned in the OP and the ones you choose.

In case my question was missed, hidden in my character sheet: What/How many/Etc skills are we allowed to choose to add on?

23334
Prepare an underground farming area. Somewhere. Or maybe an aboveground farming area, so we can work the farms into the aesthetics properly at a later date. I like that latter idea now that I think about it, I'll cross the first out.

23335
I don't think that there's really any concrete SCP canon save perhaps the articles themselves--and I mean just the ones labeled SCP-XXX.

((Magic! Or he meant that it wasn't quite molten. Reasonable enough, given how malleable metals are even when solid.))

"...Interesting?"

((Just to remember, scapheap said he'd update tomorrow. Although now that I reread it, it's a lot less certain.
Still, hopefully tomorrow...))

Or maybe they're neither. Not the likeliest, but possible.

Run off in the opposite direction.
You do. Now what?

Experiment. Does being a man shaped like a vine give any plant related powers? How much do I stand out to people now?
You can cause vines to burst out of your skin, but this causes a gash that doesn't heal unusually fast. You stitch the flesh back together and hope that it isn't too conspicuous. As to how much you stand out...not much, slightly more with this big stitched-up gash on your [1] face.

"Oh my. Most unusual. Say, Paladin, do you know what I just did? I'm in the dark myself."

Look at that fellow I helped, what's happened to him? How is he "slightly less human", exactly? Try not to do that again and help like a normal human being in any case.
You can't quite place it. He looks a bit...tougher, more feral.
"I have no idea what just happened." Paladin returns to healing people.
[4] You don't do anything weird.

Kyle looked around.  There didn't seem to be any obvious evidence of the cause of the explosion, or who caused it.

Examine the area more closely for evidence of who and what caused it.
[4] It's definitely a bomb, some kind of dirty bomb most likely due to what feels like lots of radiation. It had a pretty good explosive in it, judging by the crater; the radioactive stuff probably carried over the whole city. No idea who could have done it, though.

Ferris Parson: [2,5,2] <------OH MY YES
Ferris attempts to get on his feet, and take stock of his situation
AHEM! MAH ACTION. IT WAS SKIPPED. I DEMAND COMPENSATION IN THE FORM OF A 5 OR ALTERNATIVELY IN THE VIRGINITY OF YOUR FIRSTBORN DAUGHTER (Once shes 18 of course :P)
[3] You appear to be in some kind of street, presumably in Chicago. Remarkably, you are not the weirdest thing around. People who can move are moving towards someone; people who can't are probably unconscious or dead. On the other hand, you aren't quite sure where you are or how to get anywhere. And you think you put your left hand on backwards...

Didn't we already go over how you weren't going to make us make every minor animal?

Didn't I only drop the matter because you made it clear that you wouldn't do this?

Why am I playing a game where the GM doesn't make it clear what we can or can't do, what is or is not?

EDIT: And would it be cruel to point out that you never actually said that any part of my action would make the whole thing invalid, nor gave me a halfway action to make up for it, and I am therefore faded out, which is anything but fair?
